Il mio grande Papa! Viva Papa Benedetto XVI. La fede cresce pur solo a ricordare la Sua dolcezza, la sua mitezza, il suo carisma nella rappresentanza di Gesù come suo vicario. Mi commuovo vedere quanto era ricca di purezza spirituale la chiesa di Gesù. Amatissima Santità Benedetto XVI
già quando l'ho visto a Roma con il mio istituto di suore ho detto alla preside : " oh oh questo se ne va !!! perchè si capiva che non stava bene pallido smagrito e faticava tantissimo a stare eretto

kevin alexis Cuando la primera familia cayo en pecado Dios dijo a ellos que de la descendencia de Eva saldria el que le pisaria la cabeza a la descendencia de la serpiente que era el diablo.mas este le morderia el calcañar.(Genesis 3:15) Cuando el Hijo de Dios muere en la cruz, Jesus pierde la vida pero Jesus vence a la muerte al resucitar, y desde entonces a traves de la herida que le propina en la cruz comienza el diablo a perder hijos porque toda persona que cree en el HIjo de Dios y se bautiza en Su nombre, es salvo recibiendo el Espiritu Santo (Hechos 2:38) Pero a los 3 siglos mas tarde cuando nace la Iglesia catolica dice "que esa herida fue sanada" (Apocalipsis13:3) porque la misa del sacrificio fue una sola y eterna en Cristo peero el agente del diablo la continuo con los sacrificios de las misas para que el hombre no tenga posibilidades de salvarse de la condenacion que dice "El alma que pecare esa se muere" En la iglesia catolica es imposible que pueda salvar almas, el unico que salva es el Libro de Dios donde descanzan las sagradas Palabras del Verbo de Dios Amen!!!
la Iglesia, la Eucaristia salva almas, salva vidas, un Santo dijo que la humanidad podria vivir mas facil sin el sol que sin la Misa.

We pray also, with Jesus' in his prayer that "all may be one", that we will always work with and love our separated protestant and Orthodox brothers and sisters to bring about the unity in the church that Christ desires in love!

What a great Pope we had in Benedict !A European who understood the significance of the office and appreciated its cultural importance both liturgically and historically for the Church universal. Francis has been such a disappointment. No liturgical presence or dignity. What were the Cardinals thinking when they elected him? I guess the Holy Spirit must have been taking a siesta during the conclave that elected this a disaster!

Isn't it amusing the way they praised John Paul for clinging to the papacy when he was clearly decrepit and barely able to open his eyes (showing the dignity of old age, life, work, dedication etcetc.), and when Benedict retires early he's praised for doing the opposite?
The reason I call Rottweiler arrogant has to do with his refusal to allow anyone's opinion but his own, and as regards humility, he restored all the regalia and pomp to his personal wardrobe - all trappings that Francis has thrown off as so much garbage.
Francis talks - and walks - of the poor, the outcast, the minorities, of compassion, and all the rest of it, and he lives humbly, like Jesus, driving a compact car, living in a hostel, and eschewing the fine life so enjoyed by Ratzinger - and continued to be enjoyed by him in the papal estates.
Conservatives prefer the German though, because he stuck to the anti-christian message of condemnation and denunciation of all modern moves to equality and tolerance of all.
riverstun Francis' austere Jesuit background, I would think, has a significant bearing on his pontificate. As for Pope Benedict XVI he is a very liturgical Pope who understands the full richness of the Roman Rites and Extraordinaria form of Tradition incorporated it into his vocation as Supreme Roman Pontiff. Consider Pope Pius V a very humble meditative pontiff who was vested in the common folk and wore the habit of his old order, yet, he was still crowned in splendor and majesty as Catholic Tradition called for.
Prayers for our Pope Benedict. It took courage to make the decision he did. He knew when it was time to turn over the flock to a more energetic person. Now we pray for his successor.

Why does the Roman Catholic church insist on electing Popes of older years? Would it not make more sense to elect younger men so the church can grow and benefit from their wisdom and experience as they age slowly?
Gaggy Mott It takes a while to be appointed Bishop, let alone Cardinal in order to become Pope. It is hoped, at least, during this climb you gain the knowledge of how to handle the Universal Church through age. It seems some succeed, some fail. Pope Benedict XVI was a great scholar of the Church, his knowledge of scripture, tradition and theology are even superior to that of our current Holy Father, yet he didn’t have as good pastoral skills as popes like St. JPII or even Francis had and have, respectively. Perhaps you could be correct in that if they were younger, they could grow with experience of being Pope. However, the amount of knowledge one must have already instilled in oneself in order to manage a diocese, let alone the Worldly Church is something that has to be gained over a lifetime with both pastoral and theological branches sustained for the Church to grow as St. John Henry Newman puts it, ‘Like the acorn to the grand oak tree.’
