I'm not familiar with the Tallis Scholars and the coral songs, but they sound marvelous and divine, with a beautiful harmony. Great a cappella performance!
They are amongst the very best, especially for music of the second half of the 16th century: Palestrina, Victoria, Tallis, Byrd. They use two singers to a part. They generally prefer bright voices, which does not always suit the music well. But when it does, they are the best. I have some more of their recordings. Try Byrd's Mass for four voices, and Tallis.
I pray for a good, saintly, holy, orthodox, traditionalist pope who loves Catholic beauty and tradition, and who values our treasures. Please God, very soon. Amen
So you are saying we have a bad, unholy, unorthodox Pope who does not love Catholic Beauty and Tradition and he doesn't value our treasures? Have you ever heard of Vatican II? So you want God to "kill" Pope Francis so YOU can be satisfied ...REALLY?
Probably just the acoustics or the recording but the Sopranos seem to be overpowering the rest of the choir. This is a shame because I think when the sound if balanced, this arrangement makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck in places.
Tú eres Pedro, y sobre esta piedra edificaré MI Iglesia. "You are Peter, and on this rock I will build MY Church" (Jesus) This is the reason why *the Catholic Church is the True Faith, because it was founded by Jesus Christ* by designating Saint Peter, who was the first Pope of the Holy Catholic Church. Absolute truth.
Glory to our God❣️🕊
Beautiful music that lifts the heart to Our Creator. Peaceful in a world filled with self love.
