He knew so much about counterpoint that he wrote whatever he wanted with great mastery...he was born a few km. From my home...great difference I knpw little on counterpoint....

Il n'est jamais trop tard pour bien faire...mais pour vous rassurer on dit que Schubert n'étudia jamais le contrepoint et pourtant sa grande messe en Mi b majeur en comporte beaucoup. Ecoutez-la avec attention et vous conviendrez qu'il s'en tire au moins aussi magistralement que Palestrina pour mettre le latin d'église en musique...

Go to www.cpdl.org. Search for Palestrina. Under the motets you will find Assumpta est Maria a 6 (there is also a 5-voice offertory starting with the same words, so you need the 6-voice motet).
As I checked you can only find a version transposed down a tone. (The piece is notated using high clefs - so-called "high chiavette" - which means that it is not supposed to be sung at written pitch.)
