Just a quick video showing how I was able to remove and re-align the wiper arms on a 2016 Ford Escape. This is a pretty common issue with this vehicle because replacing the battery requires taking off the wiper arms and the cowl / cover over the battery. Unless you have the wiper motor shafts at the 'home' or rest position and pay close attention to the alignment marks on the windshield, it's easy to get it wrong.
It's pretty easy to fix the alignment as you will see in the video as long as you have a wiper arm puller to be able to get the wiper arms off. The puller that I used in the video was the only one that we could find at the time, and although it worked just fine, I would recommend you use the correct puller. I also showed how easy it is to change the front wiper blades at the end of the video.
    Tools needed:
15mm socket and ratchet or 15mm wrench
    Wiper Arm Puller
    Recommended/Optional:
Torque Wrench (I did it without)
PB Blaster or other penetrating oil to help break the wiper arm free.
The torque spec that I found online for the wiper arm nuts is 22 ft. lbs, but I recommend checking that in your repair manual.
    Thanks for watching!

Good to know, My daughter in GA (I'm in VA) has an issue with her 2016 Escape wipers, I didn't get much detail but I just got back from my local Pick-N-Pull yard and picked up two motors complete with the arms, and new blades and a puller (Amazon), I need to be prepared when I go down there in 2 weeks for a visit. This info sure helps. Thank you!

Good job! I was going to adjust my wipers. Couldn't get mine off, so I need to get a windshield wiper puller. Glad to see someone was having the same issue.

All you have to do is push down on the wiper arm a short distance from where it bolts on while you pull up around the bolt.
