This is one of, if not my favorite song on the album. An energetic, melancholic, wonderfully beautiful, reverent performance. In addition, here she could release her voice in various ways and it sounded beautiful everywhere. 🎤 The band is also an absolute outstanding, n' original... Great performance i mean the album is great all round but i do like the more intense songs like this one ..portishead like songs i suppose haha. Very good to see beth on this show too an interview would have been nice but from listening to an old interview she said she doesnt like doing them.
as soon as Jools stepped out from the side of frame to back-announce her (on her first number, not this one) she froze, thought about responding then scurried off into the darkness at the back of her stage, like a frightened church mouse! Both times they followed her with Ghetts, who even introduced her himself for this one, after his piano-side interview with Jools! When she finished this one they just panned across to Ghetts without Jools (like they often do), but both times she turned her head away from the cameras & froze in position, holding the mic stand until the lights went off her! You know, classic Beth stage behaviour!

what?, this in no way copies elbow, vise versa I would say, have they the same producer?. Beth's album has been in the works for 10 plus years, Elbows album not so much, the album before their last was pap and the one before that, just chasing that banal sounding One Day sound that tv programmes can use for tha copyright money
