Quick tip that could possibly be the reason it isn’t working for someone, is if you bought the game off steam. Now this took me like an hour to figure out, but I was trying to register the game with my laptop settings and what is was saying was that my controller was audio and of course the controller wouldn’t work. what you need to do is go through steam to configure your controller! Worked perfectly fine for me once I did that (I’ll explain more in depth if anyone has this problem or needs directions on how to do this)

Who have the problem that the controller is just charging (yellow light) and those with the problem that the PC don't recognize the device, I've had the same problem, I solved it by using the original PS4 USB cable.

Ok. So. My ps5 controller does not connect. But if I try and test it with my tablet power does go through. But ps4 controller won't connect unless at a certain angle. Both are brand new btw.

I was and still am so delighted with DS4 Windows. Easy to set up - love using my fave ps4 controller with my laptop games Playing Cuphead with PS4 controller is fantastic! Oh you don't need a cable not sure if this guy mentions but DS4 Windows will enable you to use bluetooth. So no USB cable required.
