Nice build. Glad to see you sprayed it vs brushing. So much faster & better results.

Excellent work! Though a minor suggestion if I may: The "boomyness" that you pointed out may be due to not having enough damping inside that cabinet. Lining all the sides and back with 1" to 1.5" thick open cell foam and filling the center with loose poly stuffing should fix this. Just pay extra attention not to impede airflow around the port. This should give you a massive improvement in bass and midrange clarity due to less of the internal waves coming back through the cone and damping of cabinet resonances. Happy Hifi-ing!

Thanks! You're probably right too. I should have spent more time on the details, but was in a rush. Thanks for watching!

My favorite bluetooth speaker right now is the stormbox blast from tribit, wondering how this kit compares...

How do I identify tweeter polarity? The woofer has different size connectors for polarity, but the tweeters have two identical connectors and no color marking. That's really confusing.
The built quality of the cabinet is not very accurate. Have to shorten the backplate, because it's approximately 2-3 mm to long. In my kit no speaker screws are included. Had to order them separately. There are 8 screws included for the crossover, which don't fit. But for the speakers these are too long and only half the needed ammount. Overall it's a nice kit, but nothing for beginners due to the rework required.

I do remember having some problems with the assembly. I don't remember if I mentioned it in the video. Overall I'm happy with the sound quality. My partner uses it every day. But yes, as you said it's not the easiest kit to build.

I would spray it black, but each to their own.

How long does the 3 18650 batteries last

I think it would be cool to add an adapter for power tool batteries. At 18v or 20v might benefit from a couple of them with a buck converter. It also wouldn't look as polished but for shop speakers could be fun.

Dang!! Well I really do appreciate you letting me know. It's very tough to tell if it's just my hardware, and I don't want to blast everyone. I'll bump it up again next time!

@@DIYhyfy Maybe use a video or two as a reference volume to compare against?
