Thanks a lot for this video!! In part II you say that sometimes you build the drumstick / wingbone, somtimes you don't, depending on the pose. Could you explain in which pose you need to build up the bones?
Building them up all the time Is not wrong , but I tend to not do things that I can cover them in an easier way. For example on a relaxed and standing waterfowl you can just skip the drumstick since the legs are all tucked inside and you can compensate it with caulking. But any pose that requires the legs being stretched and shown more I would for sure build up the legs accurately.
Hi another great video, but can I ask on your final mount you appear to have covered the neck material a shiny material? it looks like cellophane ? please keep the videos coming they are fantastic
Thanks. I always use caulking on my bird mounts. This video along with a few more that I still have to edit and upload are my older videos and simply I didn’t film a lot of the details to reduce the video size. That’s why you don’t see them being done. My newer videos are coming up too and they show more details. Stay tuned. Cheers.
You probably get asked this often but what it’s the body material? And is there a place to buy it? You started to explain you liked it but I couldn’t pick up if you said anything about what it was.
Yes and it’s surprising to me that why not many people are aware of the foam , it’s the most used foam in taxidermy. It is called buoyancy billet they come in large blocks and are supplied by construction stores. Taxidermy suppliers probably cut them and sell them in smaller block for 10 times the real price. Look for it in your local construction supply store.
Absolutely amazing again!!!
Thanks Daniel.
Muchas gracias y enhorabuena. Muy buenos videos.
Thanks you Ben, It's job that I was waiting and asking for... As always excellent job. !!!!!
nice job👌👏👏👏

@@ArtofTaxidermy OK, thank you! What about the femur (wire), do you fill this area (recreating the muscle)?
Not unless it’s in flying pose and it’s stretched out.
@@ArtofTaxidermy Aha!! Thanks again!!

Yes that’s a plastic wrap or cellaphane , to make it smooth and slippery inside the skin so I can freely taxi the skin.
Do you stick the wire through the bone or beside the bone?
If I invert the wing I’ll put the wire along side of the wing bones. If I cut the skin under the wing I’ll push the wire through.
Awesome 🌹🌹🌹🌹
Nice job. Question I have seen when you mount birds that you don't use hide paste why is that
Thanks.

Que tipo de alambre usas??
Black annealed wire.
😊👏👏👏👏👏👏
Sir where can I buy the body mold of duck and how much per pieces?
You can easily google the closest taxidermy supplies in your area. I make all my own bodies so I can’t refer anyone to you.
Cheers
*** I THINK YOUR ALL “QUACKED UP” MAN!!!! Lmfao!!!!
ı think it does not Look stylish if it hangs.its natural stance and flight would be better
I know what you mean , but a lot of hunters like them presented like this and I have to respect what they like. 👍
@@ArtofTaxidermy what is the blue foam you use thanks
@@sarahhallam4256 They come in big blocks from Construction suppliers, they use them for docks and boats.
