As an explosives main I have to say that the risk of self deletion goes way down when you actually get good with the class. Aiming is less about hitting the target and more about not hitting yourself. Its an art.
Man, out of my like 50 playthroughs of Vegas. I’ve only done one explosive build (and it wasn’t even that good lol, it was an explosives/unarmed build) and it was the most fun shit I’ve ever done. After seeing this vid I’m definitely going to start another one! Great video as always
I've never witnessed Fat Man killin' enemies in...bulk before. Rarely would I use launchers of any sort, just throwables. Your guide is excellent, still!
Luck doesn't really help explosive weapons because most of them can't crit or do very low crit damage. So things like AGI, STR, or END would be better to put your points in.
For explosivos i go for 1 luck 1 charisma and buff everyother special, if you need money for weapons or ammo clear the lonesome road and grab every gun and armor from marked men
Crit damage adds on top of regular damage. If it's 20 base and 20 crit, then it will be 40 crit damage on critical hit. Crit multiplier multiplies your base crit chance. If you've got 10% chance due to 10 Luck, then with Abilene Kid BB gun 1.5 * 10 = 15%. Crit chance is just your chance to critically hit things. Every point of Luck is 1% to critical hit chance and there are perks adding critical chance too, like Light Touch (5%), Finesse (5%), Laser Commander (10% for laser guns), Ninja (*1.15 critical chance for melee and unarmed) and trait Built to Destroy (3%). There are some hats and armors with bonus critical chance too.
You may need to mod it with some of the unofficial patches to get it to work, that is what I had to do to get fallout 3 to work. You can get these off of Nexus. This is quite a few guides on youtube that can help you based on your operating system.

You could probably do that, but you might have trouble with ammo. If you count the Incendiary ammo for grenade launcher then it would be doable.

If you have no mods installed then it shoildnt crash.
