Thank you for this post! Thank for being inspiring. This helped a lot ❤
Powerful point. 👍🏼
I completely agree with you!!
That’s reassuring to hear! I think knowing the artist is so important in building a connection 💖
@@KaylaCarlileArt it was ironic because I was thinking about this last week. How my goal is to have people purchase my art because I created it. People love attaching a meaning/story to things. Helps them feel closer ☺️ I so agree
Facts!
This is so smart and true. i just hate using my voice and especially showing my face 😭 im trying to get confident enough to at least use my voice when i need to explain a painting and tell them about myself. cuz i dont know one artist who doesnt use their voice when showing or explaining their art. my goal is to be confident enough hopefully in a few months. thank you i cant believe i’ve never thought about this whole art vs artist thing!
It’s definitely harder than it sounds, it takes time to become more confident sharing yourself! Best of luck and I believe in you 😌❤️
I did a lovely painting of Marineland of the Pacific in high school, more accurately the whale thing out the front with the building in the background.
I never kept it and wish i had because the park is now gone.
I do wonder if it would have sold now due to some historical significance.
Was in acrylic on canvas.
And no i didnt keep up with art.
Interesting point, I think you're right. Someone I know has been successful selling her art at markets and I noticed she always wears great outfits to each show that are super fun, creative yet flattering too. They match her art style and are almost like costumes. It got me thinking about the importance of what I wear to markets as its all part of the brand. People like to have an understanding of the artist behind the work, I also think they want to see if you have good style and taste in how you present yourself if you're calling yourself an artist or designer.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for this video! Time to step out of my comfort zone. I’m naturally an introvert, so I’m going to have to work on this aspect of my art journey.
You’re so welcome!! I believe in you, you’re going to do great 😀
well holy shit......THANK YOU!!! Boooooooooom makes so much sense!!!
You’re so welcome!! 😁
Banksy here. I respectfully disagree.
🤣🤣
But Banksy's anonymity is part of his brand. He's created a mysterious character and people love that, adding to his art work's value. The point is about including yourself in your own brand.
I bet your not a rothko fan either! Great content, I sell a decent amount of my merch because I can sell it through Dollar General where i work... but I need to put this video into action more
been following you for a while on here... just checked out your site GREAT WORK!!!
Thank you so much!! 😄
Worth a try 😂
What do you say is a good percentage of art vs me like on Instagram stories/posts? 60% art 40% me??
I try to do maybe 70/30? But I also post pictures of myself holding my Art too, so those count for both! Lol
I have to try these tips because I've been trying to sell my art for years. I do gallery exhibitions regularly but darn it, BUY something!!
