Reverse dropper loop with a 4-8oz weight is another great rig. However idk about the 25-65 main line to a 40-80lb leader. The main should never be heavier than the main
is it worth using wire leader for the bigger leopards? or would u just run a higher test mono? also do you know how good the bite is in the inland channels in foster city in redwood shores? thx !
no sorry, not familiar with that area. I would probably just go with higher test mono. Caught a 58' on 40lb mono so you'd probably be fine! If the water is murky or fish aren't finicky you can give wire a shot

I fish a 65lb braid main line to a 80lb fluoro leader and it lets me muscle a number of bat rays in
also there is a really good spot called loch Lomond marina if you go go on the jetty
another good rig you should try is a slider rig or a fish finder rig look it up it catches beasts

What size reel for leopard sharks
same as rays
What does reel size mean? Is it the amount of line it holds?
No, its just the way you reference to spinning reel size. Thanks for watching!
