Thanks so much! I have been in quarantine for awhile the last time I left my house every one was in such a rush and I couldn't understand why no one was being considered or aware of what was going on around them but God bless people like you raising your children around happy and productive morals and values. I really appreciate the energy you give off.

OH, I'm so sorry to hear that, I didn't know that, he was a great guy, loved watching him, wish I would have found him sooner.. God Bless, Sorry for your loss.
My sister always used to love when she was a teenager making donuts from biscuits she’s passed on now and I myself have never tried doing it but watching this recipe I most likely will try I thank you for this channel and these recipes will definitely miss seeing him shotgun red !!
Blast from the past, we made those in our home ec Cass back in the late 70's. Except we didn't cut them, just fried the whole biscuit, then shook in bags of powdered sugar or cinnamon and sugar. My kids loved them !
I’m 35, and my mom has been making these for me and my sister all our lives. My great grandmother has made them for my mom when she was a kid. Get some chocolate syrup for a game changer.
Hey buddy I wana thank you for the inspiration. I took Chocolate Syrup and drowned them!, Then I took sum whipped cream and a Seasoning Syringe and injected them with it. You should give those a try! Peace be with you.
We always used to call them "monkey bread." We'd use the cheapest biscuits (usually the buttermilk ones) from the store you're going to "smoosh" and fry them anyway, whats the use of getting the most expensive ones? They aren't going to be able to raise/be flaky, and rip them into 2-3 pieces (the cheap ones are smaller than what he is using here) and roll them in your hands into a ball shape else it's too big and still raw in the center or burned on the outside. Though i would recommend working fast, or storing them in the refrigerator until you're about to fry them, otherwise they get "sticky" and stick together, and to the plate/bowl you put them in. You can either put them on the paper towel as you put the next batch in the oil, then as soon as you're done putting the next batch in, you put it in the cinnamon/sugar mixture, or you drop it straight out of the pan (drained using a slotted spoon, or spider) into the cinnamon sugar mixture, we found the cinnamon/sugar mixture didn't stick as well if we let it cool while we cooked all of them (might have been the heat, or not enough oil for it to "stick" if it drained too much), but we were using a small sauce pot, and did a lot of tiny batches. We had a tupperware container with the cinnamon/sugar mixture so we could toss the donuts in it, close the top, and shake it. We also used a lot more cinnamon, i don't know the exact ratio, but it looked like 50% white sugar 50% brown sugar if you looked at it.

Quick question, does it matter if I use vegetable oil or canola? I have both, just not sure which one would be better.
Thanks

You are so welcome Billy!
You might want to try the hunny butter biscuit dough, they are fantastic.
Now that sounds great!

Food can make awesome memories!!! :)
what type/brand of biscuit is this? It looks soft. Thank you.
Your welcome! Grand's biscuits
They look delicious, I'm in Australian don't know where to buy biscuit dough?
You can always make dough if they don't sell it in the can
I would love to try these Krispy Kreme doughnuts I didn’t like the much for the came to Canada but I’m sure if their homemade I’d like the copycat
If you want a little different twist to your Krispy Kreme glaze, put a touch of coffee out of your cup.
I know!!!!! Isnt that awesome! Most everything is good with coffee dunking. drinking or pouring a little in the batter!😀👍

Great memories! :)
Doug, it sounds like you have a wonderful blessed life🙏🏻
Krispy Kreme is better than Dunkin Donuts.
I always wished donut holes were a way to have a donut but without being so naughty. I think only 3-4 make a whole donut!
They are soooooo good! :)
@@CookingwithShotgunRed very! lol
