Just clarifying that the movie was titled “Stargate”. The series was titled “Stargate SG-1”. SG-1 was the team name designated to them by the Air Force. The thing I love is that the series picks up just one year from where the movie ends. Loved his character. Michael Shanks who played Daniel Jackson was highly underrated in his job in this series as well.
Why the implication that he is dead! He isn't. He is alive and well and we all still love him. You're comments about his downfall as an actor are also tripe. He chose to retire gracefully from acting, which is why his cameo appearances have been brief. He does travel to comecons etc to meet his fans, but he is effectively retired, by choice. I was born the same year he was. I was a psychologist before retiring, and am still a fan. Do not assume that he couldn"t get parts. He is still brilliant, if a little forgetful.
