Last time I walked past all that delightful metal work I was so tired and windblown I didn't get to stop and appreciate it. Next time I will. Incredible craftsmanship.
Just got back from Whitby today, never been there before but will be going back in few weeks , very beautiful place and my frenchie Harley loved it on the beach🐶❤💯👍
We have stayed at the Granby pub on Skinner Street it was very nice but as I can not manage the stairs anymore we are going to stay at another place on Skinner Street this June. If I see you about Simon I will defiantly say hello and thank you for your amazing videos.
Stayed at The Captain's rest years ago, was unsure after I booked it after a few sherbets, however on arrival from Coventry what a great place, we had a great time in Whitby and surrounding areas and even had a pint in the Aidensfield Arms 😂
Great upload! The iron work is awesome. I've always wanted to stay at the Weatherspoons, what better than a pub bang below your accommodation? Always booked up though sadly. Oh well. 🙂
When me and my parents and partner have stayed in whitby for a few nights we've stayed in the Boulmer and the blencathra guest houses on crescent Ave very nice places with top proprietors, have also stayed in discovery accomation on silver Street the place that's red which was also featured in heartbeat and also the seabreeze on the West cliff opposite Clara's coffee with a lovely room and sea view.
You are providing a valuable service recording the sad decline of Whitby. All those holiday properties were once vibrant homes and businesses.I remember the hairdresser's a florist ,working mans club ,sales rooms ,carpet shop ,dance centre, antique centres and homes with families actually resident there.Whitby has become a one trick pony .What made Whitby unique has gone. The evil of cheap credit and buy to let has ruined it.
Don’t get why everyone wants to stay over in Whitby, it’s overpriced, overcrowded and you could see it all in a day trip anyway. But hey, there’s certainly no cost of living crisis here with the amount of cash people have to spend!
Simon you have a holiday let in Whitby do you allow pets ( we have a border collie) and if so how do we get some information about your rentals please .
The main problem with staying in these Whitby town centre cottages is car parking. Many don't have a dedicated parking space and you are relying on public roads, and these can get very busy in the height of the Summer season. I've stayed in Whitehall Landing and Caedmons Prospect apartments on the outskirts of town (both highly recommended), and last year in a house near to Whitby Town FC.
@@Jimwhitby2000 Agreed David, I'd love to stay in one of those cottages in the centre of town, but I like the convenience of popping out and about in my car. When I've been during Regatta week its packed with parked cars.
Hello Simon how are you love your vidio of the blue cottages we always stay opposite pannet park in bagdale road not far from the Whitby harbour you are a amazing man you make me laugh best wishes take care stay safe from Lynn x ❤😊
He has nothing to do with Whitby, he's not from the town. Just another of the many people who have moved here who are here for nothing more than financial gain rather than the love of the town. Has he any idea of the true heritage of the town and the feelings of legitimate local people.
Sorry to mention Wetherspoons but if their Hotel at Whitby is good I'd stay there .. stayed at their Unicorn Hotel Ripon and it was fantastic and great value .

Weve stayed a few times in the resolution. Had no issues. Would stay again.
Hi Simon
Where is your rented property?
Is there any parking?
We are a retired couple and love Whitby and your videos
West Side. Close to the centre. Permit parking only
Thanks

It is good
Talking about EVs before saying 'Controversial'. Reminds me of somebody 🤔😂
The MacMaster!!!
Mentioning Electric cars could IGNITE some controversy 😊
The Beavers back!!
Us lads love a Beaver.
I think these guys did the Iron Work? www.wroughtironsmith.com/GodboldsBlacksmiths/Home.html
Ah Simon. Don't ever mention electric cars, you present TVR will be worthless m8. Worst thing ever to happen to motorists. Mark my words. :-(
Hahaha... !
