  • Does a gas pressure washer make more foam than an electric pressure washer? I will test out both to see if one makes thicker foam than the other using my favorite soap, Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II Grape Rush car shampoo.
Let me know in the comments if you like this soap and if you see a difference between gas and electric.
Make sure to subscribe to the channel and let me know in the comments if you want more of the Gas vs electric episodes so i know to keep em coming.
I love anything detailing from wax, sealants, soaps, etc. so let me know if theirs is a detailing product i should test out.

I use the super cheap harbor freight electric power washer with a $20 foam cannon from Amazon. I did switch out the orifice for the smaller 1.1 and it makes a lot more foam with the same soap.

You like the grape? Try the chemical guys extreme bodywash and wax. Think it foams similar to snowfoam watermelon or honeydew CG product.

Go get you a predator 212cc engine from Harbor freight (if you're lucky you get the HEMI made version) for $130. Purchase a pump $60-$150. And build your own gas powered pressure washer for about the same price as a mid to upper tier electrical pressure washer and would be way cheaper than a Kransel.

What is your personal favorite foaming soap for an electric washer as far as amount of suds and lubrication

My favorite soap for suds would have to be the chemical guys watermellon snowfoam or honeydew snowfoam. I buy the maxi suds just for the grape smell. Lol. For lubrication I absolutely love the Rain X spot free car wash. It's the slickest soap I have ever used but it doesnt get too thick foam. Typically I will foam my truck with any random saop and use rain x care shampoo in my wash bucket.

What would be the difference if switched to a 1.1 mm orifice. Have a 1800psi 1.2 gpm electric pressure washer.

The 1.1mm orifice would help a little but I wouldn't expect a big difference. Also some foam cannons already have a 1.1mm installed so if that's what you are already using, you wouldn't see any difference. They are fairly cheap so if even the smallest difference in foam thickness is what you are searching for, it wouldn't hurt to buy the 1.1mm orifice

I use the Chemical guys big mouth foam cannon. Witch I think is rated for like 3,000psi. If I remember right.

@@tuner066 it wouldn't hurt to get the 1.1mm orifice. Another trick to getting more foam is to get a bottle of distilled water ($1 for a gallon at most stores) and use that in the foam cannon. Most people have moderately hard water and don't even know it. Hard water kills the foam in the soap quickly making it look runny and slimy.

I’ll try that. I normally use hot water. I’ll also get one of those test strips. I live on well water.
