    Looks very relaxing to watch anyway. I once saw a guy turn ground with a shovel that separates the men from the boys for sure.I love these tractor videos, thanks for posting!

    Thank you for the video I enjoyed it. It brought back lots of good memories when I was a kid on our farm. We had a garden about as big or bigger than yours. My dad would get out there every year before planting and teal the ground with a push tiller. And I would get out there and help him plant everything. I loved going out there and pulled all the weeds made sure everything was OK. And then getting out there and harvesting when we need it. ❤️❤️.

    Good job plowing your top hole is made for plowing rhat operates your 15:06 draft control so you dont have to operate your lift rhat what that little tractor made for plowing discing

    I'm in Tennessee and we have the same red clay that you have, with the addition or rocks. As far as a Go-pro mount, I've got a double sided sticky tape mount on the hood of my Ford 601. It may not work on yours as the radiator cap is in the way. I've found no vibratory issues with doing it this way and the mount has been very secure and stable with the jobs that I have recorded over the last year, many of which have not been uploaded to YT.

    Thanks for the video. Is there a way to break up subsoil without a tractor? I have a rototiller but I don’t think it would go deep enough

      I hope the ground dries out so I can show how I use my tiller to break up in the spring, I have a plow that works great for breaking up the soil but you need to do it before it gets dried out and hard. I have used a shovel to turn it over by hand but I was younger then too.

    Have you had any more lift problems with the 8N, after your draft linkage adjustment video?

    Thank you for this video. I was just wondering how deep you go with the plow. I have the same tractor and it’s my baby but I will be using a Deerborn plow that came with my tractor.

      Rule of thumb is, whatever the length of the plow shear, depth will be half that number. So, if you have a twelve inch bottom, depth will be six inches

    I like your videos. I have my grandpas 8N and trying to find out how to plow better with it. I have trouble with slipping. What gear do you plow and what range and also how much throttle Thanks

    • @1972BRJ
      @1972BRJ  2 года назад

      I plow in 1st gear, I don't have a Sherman transmission, it's a standard 4 speed, but the rear tires have fluid in them giving more weight to the tractor and more gripping power as well. It's almost impossible to turn ground without that. I hope this information helps you and thanks so much for watching! Brandon

    I tried to disk a bit yesterday. It was just still to wet. I don't have sany soil, I have clay.

    • @1972BRJ
      @1972BRJ  3 года назад

      Same here, we have mostly clay, some loam and lime soil but it's too wet to plow, the spot I plowed in this video is on top of a hill, works great now but if we have a dry spring and summer I'm in trouble

    How do you get water in the back tires?

    • @1972BRJ
      @1972BRJ  Год назад +1

      I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I bought a device that screws on the valve stem, you remove the core first and then put it on, it has a female fitting for a water hose, I have a short hose that I put a funnel in and add antifreeze, 3 gallons then screw on my water hose and top off with water. Periodically I occasionally add some air to adjust the pressure.

    Your little tractor rans good. I noticeloopd your back tire spinning a little. Do you have liquid in them?
    It looked a little wet to me. The plowing was going well.

    • @1972BRJ
      @1972BRJ  Год назад +1

      Yes it was a little wet and yes I do have liquid in the tires. If I didn't it would not pull at all

  • @stansmela227

    Why aren’t you using axel draw bars when pulling your equipment. That puts less pressure on the 3 point system. I’ve talked to many tractor owners that didn’t know about axel draw bars. Just wondering.

    • @1972BRJ
      @1972BRJ  Год назад +1

      I think you are taking about the stabilizer bars that fasten under the fenders, when using a bottom plow you never use them, that's according to the Dearborn plow book. I've also noticed that Farmall recommends leaving the stabilizer cross bar on the one point hitch loose so that the plow can flex from side to side. Most folks that I know never use them when plowing but everything else I put them on.
      Thanks for watching

    • @1972BRJ

      Yes they are filled with fluid for weight, it wouldn't plow at all without it.
