Yes i made that mistake to yes its fun but my main path is themed and overflowing with guests and then you have the un-themed area of the park no people over there
@@peeryoutube Im back to give my input build small compact and highly detailed it makes the park feel bigger then it is and you dont gotta worry about filling in blank areas. When done line the outside of the park with trees or hills so the only thing you see in the park is the park.
A suggestion too: try not to make large park from the start. Build in sandbox thinking you have limited budget as in challenge, so you think what to build and how to build it. Remember: small but good park is better than big but bad park.
Working on my second park now. With my first one, I definitely took that page from Walt's book. I built a berm and hills with lots of trees all around the perimeter of my park to block the outside world. Made it much more immersive.
Just finished career mode on console it was put together well and challenged me. I feel like I 100% know the game now which is great when I go to tackle my first sand box park.
One thing Walt Disney figured out in the extensive research he did prior to building Disney World is that a waste bin should be available every 3 meters (or 15 ft) apart. With every standard deviation away from that number the amount of trash that goes on the ground goes up exponentially. Lesson being--place as many freakin trashcans as you can. Otherwise your park will inevitably turn into a well-decorated trash bin.
Build scenery before rides. Place atleast 1 bin every 10 paths, and if your in sandbox, make staff buildings 10 members per room. Give them all the max pay, try and stick to 1 scenery part first before moving on to the next.
Great tips! Can’t say I agree with placing scenery before placing rides but it is very important to build scenery AROUND your ride and the queue. This will help attract more visitors.
As a new player for this game on console . This really helpful😍 Thanks for this video ! I wanna ask for permission for download this video for reference while I’m playing the game🥰 Thanks really enjoy watch this .
Loved the suggestions but would have been much better had you enlarged on *how* to do many of those things - at least it would to me as a relative beginner. :)
i actually follow the last one when making a multi theme themepark i try to not show any of the scenery in other sections ( minor exclusion would be rides that are tall )
I have it on lest gen console so the build limit is well limited so while it is annoying I learned it helped me actually think smaller and made a more detailed park
I must say the best thing to happen for us theme park tycoon gurus is Planet Coaster. The level of customization and freedom to rotate buildings and rides and have curved paths or place palm trees in the middle of natural, I paved path is great. It’s hard to go back to a game like rollercoaster tycoon after playing planet coaster. I must say, getting a high scenery rating for a ride is super easy. Just place a bunch of trees around the station of a coaster and entrance and you’ll most likely get 100%. I must say one of the more aggravating things is the lack of shops, and seems most of the food stalls are burgers. Same for the drink shops.
Another suggestion to increase the scenery rating is to put the pirate treasure chests around your ride. You only have to place a few of them, and the rating will go up exponentially. This works for the queue scenery as well.
You're so welcome! It's crazy to see how many people are just getting started this late in the game but how popular this video was as a result. Hope you're hyped for Planet Coaster 2... I know I am!
Thanks. I already knew the whole terraform features were in the game but i always felt disencouraged from using them because in my head they are complicated, possibly product of years of looking at sandbox/free build games. Thanks for helping me! Update: i still suck. Not because this tutorial was not helpful, but i still feel overwhelmed.
I know I'm late to the party, but the thing about guests seeing other rides, is that an actual mechanic or is it just for aesthetics and design? Like wilk guests actually make choices based on the other rides they saw?
I don't know why but this video made me want to get on planet coaster and attempt to make a good park, I stopped playing the game a while back because I couldn't make anything I liked, It's a shame because I can see how many opportunities there are to do in this game. Maybe I'm just not willing to put in thousands of hours for it.
Like any sandbox game I consider this a hobby. And, like many hobbies, I don't spend 6-8 hours a day on it because really... who has time for that??? Just do an hour here or two hours there. Enjoy it. Take your time with it. It will come together. Thanks for your comment and glad the video inspired you!
Then build one! I’ve done so in other parks and will sometimes raise the terrain around it so the “outside world” is still a bit obscured. But, not always possible to do so on those really high peaks. Remember, these are suggestions, not rules. 🤓
If your on Xbox and you have the 100 percent you can delete all the data by pressing the button with the three lines then go to manage game and add-ons them press A and then only press YOUR username and then your have 0 percent space but the only downside is it will delete all parks but not DLC
where do I find that entertainment point on ps4. I had it once early on but deleted it bc I didn't understand its function. and now I can't find it anymore. 😭
I love this game but I can never make a nice looking park lol. I don't know if it's because I don't have the patience or what but I think I need to take some time and try to create something amazing
It definitely takes patience. Don’t think you can build an amazing park in one day. Do a little every day and you’ll eventually get results. Focus on one area then move on to the next. I sometimes even come back to other areas I thought were done but end up changing items as I go.
@@anthonyharder1469 I think generally wider paths and adding more foliage/scenery help make it look more realistic. When you look at really theme parks they are quite dense
You can always try adjusting the graphic resolution in your settings. The lower you go the better your FPS will be. Although, if your park is REALLY big, it really won't matter unless you have a really strong PC.
I just got the game on a few days ago. My first sandbox park is a mix of Western, Knoebels and random. I haven't gotten the hang of staff management yet and I'm a RCT1 player from way back when it ws new.
Planet Coaster squashes RCT by leaps and bounds! Park management can be tricky sometimes though. I find my guests are always thirsty no matter how many drink locations I build. Have fun!
My recommendation is don’t build big but small that way you get a feel of the game and don’t feel burnt out trying to build on every inch of land.
Good suggestion
You shouldn’t really build small but build a spacious park. A park with 6-8 rides is ideal if you ask me
Yes i made that mistake to yes its fun but my main path is themed and overflowing with guests and then you have the un-themed area of the park no people over there

Also that goes not only to planet coaster, but pretty much to every building game. (Can be cities skylines, parkitect, or even somehow Minecraft)

I built scenery before rides once, and that blocked the ride from being put there.

Your father's coaster game? Are you calling me old 😵
Thanks for these tips 😁
Lmao I feel old
One idea is to make different parts of your park themed like in WDW, Fl.
Thanks for the tips!
Build a smaller barrier with hills and trees, that way you have a smaller barrier and you won't feel like you have to take up the whole park.
I know I'm late to the party, but the thing about guests seeing other rides, is that an actual mechanic or is it just for aesthetics and design? Like wilk guests actually make choices based on the other rides they saw?

Ok but what if I want so make a bigger coaster like an Intamin?

water water every where but not a drop to drink

Disable vandalism in the settings?
Time to hire more security guards! Don't forget to also make sure there are plenty of mechanics to repair them!

some of the best parks don't take a day 2 months ect.gake time with your builds you'll learn and grow
If only adding scenery didn't destroy the fps like it does.
