The ride is very good fun, however, if you have a sensitive achilles area, be careful.
The top of the heel cup has a real inward curve at the top which absolutely stripped the skin from the back of my heels. A real shame is the rest of the shoe is really good.

Seen similar complaints on the rebel v4

@@DillonJan I’ve got lots of miles in the Rebel v4 and never had an issue. The Pacer got me straight away.

      Thick socks will help?

@@TheValonquar possibly. Will let the blisters heal and then try again.

Great review, regarding the drop. Does it feel like a Vaporfly or lower?

Interesting review, Alex. I'm currently running at similar paces to what you mentioned (a bit faster for 10K, and spot on for HM), and I'm seriously considering this shoe. However, I have a question: what do you mean by "lighter runner"? Are you referring to runners under 70 kg, since the shoe was tweaked for a female runner? I'm around 73-74 kg-would that be too heavy for this shoe?
Additionally, I'd like to know whether you prefer this shoe or the Rebel v4 for speed training.
    Thanks in advance!

I am definitely not fast enough to race in this, but do wonder if it would be a great track interval shoe for me.

It's great to see the evolution of carbon plates progressing with more foam under the toe, providing more plate spring at toe-off. Too bad I don't do well with squishy foam. Squish feels great during the warmup, but decreases the efficiency in the middle and end of a run and ends up increasing the stress on my knees, requiring longer recovery.

Agreed. I hate the fuel cell in the propel is different than in the Rebel, and the rebels foam different than the sc trainer v3, and the sc trainer has different fuel cell than the sc elite. Only two shoes have the same fuel cell.

is it good for half marathon?

Before the carbone plate, I ran marathon with Nike Streak Flyknit and Saucony Type A9 in 2h55. The SC Pacer V2 description you did here, make me remind the Hoka Rocket X2, my favorite carbone plate shoe (marathon in 2h49). Do you think the both are similar ? Do you think the SC Pacer v2 would match with my profile ?
    Thanks for your job ❤

Thanks for the review. I will need a replacement for my Asics Magic Speed 3, since v4 is totally different, How would you compare SC Pacer v2 to Magic Speed 3?

Same here; looking at this to potentially replace my MS3 which I used for fast training and 5k racing. Felt that while the MS3 was snappy, there was absolutely no bounce or “fun” to it. Curious to hear his thoughts.

Heard some mentioning that the “Fuelcell” is actually the product lines instead of the foam tech, similar to the Adidas Adizero product lines, is it true? Also for the pacer V2, it seems that it’s a bit heavier for the 5K-10K races, weighs heavier than the rebel V4.

@@DillonJan weight wise, there’s a 2 gram difference between the Rebel v4 and Pacer v2 in my size. However, aesthetics aside, they are totally different shoes. Different feel, different geometries and hugely different levels of aggression to the ride.
The pacer is much more race focussed than the Rebel v4.
