@@snowwalker9999 It's a smoother transition, you can reach your paces with ease, it's more versatile, meaning you can take it all the way up to a half marathon..if you are really efficient and have great mechanics, you may can take it to a full marathon. It's also more comfortable than the Takumi Sen. The Takumi Sen is more nimble and quicker and has a better turnover. You may can take to a half but it's more comfortable at the 5k and 10k range. You are getting a great shoe with either pick but I'd give the nod to the SC Pacer 2.
I really like this shoe as an alternative to my NB Elite V4s. Where I do most of my running there are lots of hills and slanted paths/roads and the high stack on the elite v4 feels sketchy sometimes. These basically feel like my rebel v4s with a plate and I love it. Personally I would use these for a marathon but they are probably best for 5k to half marathons for most.
I had the original Pacer and can't imagine running a marathon in it. I'll have to try these on to see if there is enough cushion underneath to consider these for more than short races. Thx
$60 more, I'm buying another pair of VF. Definitely more versatile from 5k to marathon comfortably. And VF 3 is real durable. No issue 200+ miles in. Honestly, I'm not seeing a reason to buy a shoe like this. Any other super shoe you already have will give you a fast 5k/10k.
Just curious, are you using the VF 3 in races still at 200+ miles? I am interested in the shoe but heard the outsole is not durable and the shoe doesn’t have more than 100 miles for racing? 🤷♂️
Agreed. I just purchased my second pair of VF 3's. I am still running in my original pair. I have 300 plus miles on them and they are still performing well. Just wanted to get another pair before they change them.
@@Bolt21LA24it’s pretty dependent on the runner / form, I was running on the plate after ~110mi in mine and had to retire them. Metaspeed Sky Paris was my replacement and so far so good.
@@dawncyclist LOL You got bad pairs then. I have 5 pairs of VF 2s and 3 of VF 3s. Not a single one has an outsole or upper flaw. Maybe its how you run?
Thinking about these for my half coming up in September. Then I will assess if it can go comfortably for a full, no need to spend the extra $50 for the elite if these can get the job done.
Why would marathons like Paris and Valencia want to be major marathons? The World Majors take a cut from the race organizers, so already successful marathons would just end up paying them and losing the freedom to organize the event in their own way. Sydney, Chengdu, and Cape Town want to join because they want to grow their events. Paris and Valencia are sold out without outside help.
For sure it did. Cannot believe it is 8mm drop. Took it for 13 miles on first run (probably too long), and it felt very flat, encouraged a forefoot strike. My calves are still sore 3 days later. I usually run in 5mm drop. Gonna hang on to the shoe and give it a chance, really enjoyed the bouncy midsole and light weight.
Between two shoes: please do a Takumi Sen10 and this one 🙏🌹👍
I have both and I'll give the edge to the SC Pacer2!
@@TheBsheep In what ways? I can’t decide between the two.

We need a 5K/10K racing shoe break down before the fall. Takumi Sen, VaporFly, SC Pacer, Cielo Road - what to choose!
SC Pacer V2 vs. Takumi 10?
Laura Philipp won IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP in these. Fastest run split too.

Lol. VF 2 and VF 3 are trash. Used once for a half marathon and you see the zoomx separating already.

Fantastic description. I prefer the Asics magic speed 4. Like to Meaghan and Thomas. Happy friday.

Talking about Paris, I'd highly recommend the marathon. No idea why it's not a major, 54,000 runners.

@toni194 I didn't know that, good point.
NB, How do you go from 150 for the V1 to 200 for the V2?
At least you could have priced it competitively to the TakumiSen10 at $180.
So Rebel is a non plated fast trainer and this Pacer is like a plated faster race version?
Nice Stop Pre Tee!
How many alpha flys are on that back wall?
Need a reel of Megan’s lace
How does it compare with the Takumi Sen 10?
Does this feel very close to the Vaporfly 3? I use that as a 8 - 10 miler at all paces. Works well for me as a 6'3" 205 lbs man.
you need more cushion Big Boy. Your knees will pay for it dearly. Get the Elite instead.
hi, is the Tongue gossated like in the Rebel?
You had me at vaporfly-ish. Glad to see the pacer coming back.
I want .. can’t warrant a show purchase at the moment
Stop Pre? 😮
did this shoe feel like a 0 drop shoe for anyone but me?
