@TaeyarhLeather you're literally using a printed pattern in the video. Almost identical to the lady who uses recycled denim to make these exact bags..and she sells the pdf. Gatekeepers suck.
What a lovely build is there any chance of making the pattern available. As a beginning leather drafter i learnt a lot in watching this video ,amy thanks for your time. Huge resoect and best wishes from Port Elizabeth South Africa
What a helpful video! I'm so curious about the reinforcement you've used for the bag. -in 2:20 how much do you remove from the sponge reinforcement ? -in 5:48 Is that salpa reinforcement ?? -in 8:50 What is that reinforcement ? -in 15:49 what is this reinforcement that you use for the bottom and the sides ? -in 17:18 What is that reinforcement for the zipper part ? -in 18:16 What is that reinforcement for the lining of the zipper ? that all sorry for all this questions , i want to be able to make a leather bag like you without any defects .
1) 2:20 Rather than removing a certain amount of sponge, it is better to remove an area 2-3mm smaller than the skiving area. 2) 5:48 LB reinforcement material, also called leatherboard. You could probably use salpa. 3) 8:50 It is called S/L and is used where strength is needed. 4) 15:49 It is the same reinforcement material used in number 1), only the color is different. If I were to talk about the thickness, number 1) is 1.5T and number 4) is 1.0T. 5)17:18 and 6)18:16 are the same reinforcements as 2)5:48. ※Purchase and use a variety of leather craft reinforcement materials. There is no right answer when it comes to reinforcing materials. It all depends on how it is made and the person who uses it. It would be a good idea to try a variety of things. I hope this helps even a little. thank you.
What a wonderful video! I'm so curious about the materials you've used for the bag. What's the name of the dark brown lining at 2:44? The glue you've used to fix it to the leather was the same you've used before? And what's the name of the white material you're gluing at 14:47? The material you're applying glue at 17:12 seems to keep the base of the bag stable. What's its name? Sorry for all the questions! I've started my first leather bag recently and I'm trying to learn new techniques. 😊
2:44 : This is Twill Weave lining 14:47 : It is S/L (synthetic leather) and the thickness is 1.2T. It is also used to reinforce the handle or shoulder strap depending on the thickness. 17:12 : It is used for LB (Leather Board) thread tearing and shape maintenance. Thank you for watching video
The white foam... what’s it called? I’ve seen it in different thicknesses, what thickness do you use here? I really want to try a backpack! Even more now, great video!!
amazing craftsmanship. If you dont mind, i'd like to ask did you stitch all of it by hand? if so, did you make holes first using pricking iron? I'm curious especially the backpack straps where it's layers of materials. Thank you!
Hand stitching and sewing machines are used at the with time. I used a sewing machine for the strap. If you're going to do hand sewing, you can make a hole in the line first, overlap it, and then use an awl to sew it. Thanks
Amazing craftsmanship, Thank you for sharing this process with us. I'm really curious about the tape that you used at 2:59, what is it called? And how strong is the adhesive?
Hi there! What type of material do you glue to the leather at 1:39? Can you please share the details of it because it seems like this material works well to protect the leather from any marks after you turn it inside out. Thanks.
It is called adhesive rubber sponge and is used to keep the shape and elasticity of the bag. It is made of EVA material, and you can try variously with similar materials.
The shoulder strap is 450 millimeters and the webbing strap is about 90 millimeters, but you can set the length for the webbing strap according to the user.
We don't offer it now, but we're planning to do it in the future. I don't know when it will be. Thank you for watching the video. I hope you have a good day today.
hey, did you design the pattern yourself or you brought the pattern some where, i really like this design as well, just wondering where can i get the pattern, love your work, thanks
You can use it, but you have to use it with other reinforcements, what's used here is a reinforcement called a toilon, which is used for shock absorption in backpacks.etc The reinforcement depends on the manufacturer and the method of making it, so there is no correct answer, so it would be better to find a suitable one. Don't worry too much and try making it. Then you'll find the right one. Then I hope you enjoy the leather work.
Etsy sells white reinforcement. It's just a different color, so you can buy it, even if it's not, it'd be nice to find a microfiber or something suitable.
I would like to recommend a leather workshop or leather bag academy nearby. You can learn on the Internet, but if you want to learn deeply, I think that would be better.
Absolutely amazing craftsmanship. Beautiful bag! Would love to see a pattern of this!
Thanks for watching the video, but this bag doesn't have a pdf.

I'm really curious about the tape that you used at 2:59, what is it called? And how strong is the adhesive?
It's called a double-sided tape.
It's used before sewing the leather, so the adhesion is not that big.
Wow. Beautiful!
thank you
you’re work is amazing. definitely learning some fine craftsmanship. i’m gonna go look for you’re stuff rn

You can buy a cheap polyester backpack thats shaped the same and take it apart amd trace the different patterns
I designed the pattern, but I didn't make a PDF file.
Thanks for watching.
Hello, can you make a travel backpack sewing tutorial?
This is good. Yet, the sheer volume of hand sewing scares me. Can one opt to use the machine instead?
Of course, you can use a machine to sew.
I use it as necessary.
Wow...👍👍👍👍
Thank you...🙏🙏🙏🙏
Amazing!
Where do you buy all your metal goods from?
I go and buy it myself, but I buy more online these days.
