Love the fact that you pointed out that the video is sponsored in the title
I stick with the UK advertising guidelines which means that I put ad in the title when the company see the video before the audience do. Most of the sponsorships I can publish without their approval so according to the regulations I only need to disclose the sponsorship within the video itself :)
Oh wow! Never knew about that. Have a great time, Simon!
All sponsored videos should be done exactly like this one. Love your work dude.
This did not feel like an ad, this was really good and informative!
I was very happy when you said rocking the t3i. Nice video as always, Simon.
me too 😅
"This camera is the GH5, but don't worry, it's just a rental. I'm still rocking with my T3i"
Purist.
Loyal to his principles
Always learning with you, Simon. Keep up the great work!
Cheers from Brazil!
The “orbiting shot” looked EPIC ! Well done...now I want to try it !!
your voice and the calm music of all your videos allways just puts me in this calm peaceful mood
Noah B his voice causes asmr. he has that effect on me too its soo nice
I love that when you do ads it still is interesting, and not a biased piece to camera.
It makes it so easy to keep watching every time you release something new
Nice to see a New video on my fav channel!
I film with a t5 which has the same sensor and processor as the t3i, and your videos help me not discouraged. Thank you!
T5i here too! :-)
@@SammyBFilmsSame here! I have a 5D Mark III at times I shoot with ML RAW but something about my t5i that I absolutely love!
I shoot with a t6, which is good except for the fact that it doesn’t have an audio jack.
T6i here
I shoot with a HUAWEI P20 Pro, well it works kind of xD.
I have the notifications turned on for this channel but when i haven't been notified in a while my brain notifies me to check his page to make sure RUclips isn't broken or something..that's how much i admire and appreciate Simon's work.
I think that trying to recreate things you’ve seen in other work is one of the BEST ways to learn new skills and techniques. Taking apart someone else’s work teaches you a lot.
That's what I want to see when products are introduced. A great video with practical use and a reasonable explanation. Thank you 😊
Man! Love the way you deliver and narrate the Videos. We can feel your love for films in it.
I just got my Ronin-S yesterday and this is exactly what I needed to see to get some ideas on how to utilize the features of this gimbal. I really loved the part where you used the smooth track on the stairs shot. It really opened my eyes to the use of the different speeds and ways you can set the smooth track. The point of advertising is to create value so someone buys, and I would say this may be one of the best commercials I have seen in a long time for that!
Amazing 😍!
Now I have been commenting on every new video 'Simon is Back! 😍' from last couple of months
Videos like these actually make us understand how much effort does it take to make just a short clip. Thank you!
Simon you’re one of the best people on RUclips I’ve found in the last couple of years and I really love your videos and your filmmaking style. Keep doing it man!!
I recently for a t3i (my first dslr) and I appreciate just how right you are when you say it's not about the gear.
Best thin about you is you are authentic and genuine.I am sure you'll be a great filmmaker .
You are now one of my FAVORITE RUclipsr and a Teacher, every Tutorial that you make is very easy to understand and i learned a lot, thank you for existing haha
Hey I bought a Canon T3i a few days ago after watching your videos. I've been following you for quite a long time and when I decided and finally saved up enough money to buy a DSLR, I went for the T3i without any hesitation as it's a bit cheaper nowadays. Thanks for all the videos and being the mentor.
One of the best tutorial / informatives on RUclips I think.
I know nothing about film making but love watching all your videos; this one in particular, the shots looked so so professional having studied and analysed the old masters..love your work, Simon x
I love how Tarkovsky composes movement with a subtle editing at the end.. it's magnificent. Loved your video, it gave me some ideas. Thanks for coming back with such a great quality!
Your videos never fail to teach something new everytime..
I love these re-creations! I hope you'll do more of them!
There's so much to learn from these. I'm thinking of shots like the Spielberg oner, very difficult, involving lots of planning and techniques. But that makes it an ideal candidate to learn a ton of things from. So many skills need to combine to execute one.
2:13 For a moment I thought you were going to casually tell us that's your new go to camera!! :-D
I'm still with the T5i here!
I missed ur videos Simon, love to see u back
In Indonesia we have someone like you, Agung Hapsah. Both of you show how to do some complex thing with the more simple way and so easy to understand. The most principal thing : not the gear but the creativity. Thank You Simon for this video.
You are literally the best film advice channel out there. Thank you so much for these tips.
A filmmaking education channel we deserve and need. Simon good to see you getting sponsored buddy
As long as sponsored videos are like that (transparent and still informativ) I don't mind the sponsorship. great work as usual!
Who else can't wait for Simon's feature?
as a 15 year old this is great its easy to understand but is still straight forward and actually teaches you something
That first recreation is my favourite. Also loved the follow shot recreated from the GodFather. Found it all to be very useful. Thanks
Glad to see you're back. Some really great shots, what a difference they make.
can't wait to see more narrative work from you!
Great to see you back. Kudos to DJI for sponsoring this video.
you have evolved as a videographer and filmer so much! Been here since the beginning and haven't regretted it.
I love your ideas :)... Great stuff to learn from
Love your work, I always learn new techniques from your content. Glad to see you getting sponsors to support you! Cheers from Finland.
One of my frvt channels for sure. Love your warm and honest presentation. This is a great video. Thanks for sharing Simon!!!
Great study, Simon! I miss your videos and am always excited to see when you've posted something new!
Great job simon. I like your way of thinking and the way you try to keep the focus on the important elements of the shots. Years ago noone could imagine that those shots could be realized without a big Crew and all these fancy stuff a hollywood productions deals with. I think, as you said, with 2 more grips and maybe a light dolly and a slider, those shots are not impossible to copy. And that on a much smaller budget.
Good work for now! Enjoy your videos every time!
Wow! This is really well done dude. Thanks for showing this off. Super cool.
was kind of happy to hear you still use the T3i, shows you stick with your own principles
I love that this is sponsored but is not just a sales tactic
one of my favourite videos, good work man
A video after ages
2:30 ok that scared the shit out of me
this is so brilliantly executed! i don’t think i’ve ever been so appreciative of a sponsored video!
why thank you!
the best part of every filmaker or photographer is when people gather to watch them
Those shots are amazing, it's pure cinema. And great video!
Mate, you mentioned those shots were created with expensive equipment and a much more experienced team, yet, you had done an amazing job! with little budget, keep up your good work and also your voice just soothes my soul haha.
Great idea to recreate these movements!! Would be a cool idea to recreate an entire scene as well! Thanks for the video, loved it!!!
I love the the guys from sardonicast but when the insulted you, I didnt understand why. You are so young and yet so talented. Never let haters get you down, You are great!
hater is a strong word, they don't seem to enjoy what I'm making and that's cool with me. Thanks for the kind words!
Madoc, which episode was that? I'd like to know what their reasons for disliking this channel could be. Cheers.
@@flavourlessjosephus2910 I don't remember bur I'll try and find for you ( :
I'd love to see a vid where you go over the settings for the different modes you have and what they're best used for!

Clever way to get past copyright issues. I like it.
the first shot is amazing
Oh wow i like how u study and bring that same (or close to same shot ) in ur way
Did you use the Sigma 18 35 lens?if yes,how was the balancing process for you?
love to see you do a series recreating famous shots
You make me want to try new techniques with my videos. Thanks for the inspo ✌🏼
This is sick! Love it!
Awesome new episode!
Very good work. So much passion !
i always love your videos man
I rented a Ronin M for my latest short film, Delivery Night, and I have got to say that it made all of the difference. It's especially great for if you are trying to utilize long oners or consistently moving shots in your film. I'll have to take a look at the S at some point since the different modes for balance would surely come in handy.
amaazing as always.. .thanks for this
Always great content! Be well, stay encouraged, and Happy Holidays!
