Nice video. I went to Naples in April and besides the trash and filth, I still thought it was a beautiful city and enjoyed the walking food tour I had.
@@vincentnnyc Thank you so much for watching. We did not see any. However, they tend to be very inconspicuous. Our advice is to be aware and vigilant. I travel with what I call “travel pants”. Light weight material pants and ALL my pockets front/back have zippers sewn in. I feel that it’s one extra defense barrier to pickpocketing. We also have other defenses on our backpacks.
Awewome!!! Jealous of you. Enjoy. We will be posting our Drive through Tuscany video this weekend. Followed by Florence, Pisa, Lucca video the following weekend. And if interested videos from Portugal, Colombia, Cabo San Lucas, Scotland will follow. Thank you so much for watching. Enjoy your trip!!!
Hi Anita & Al...Next time you come to Naples, in via Toledo there is the "B&B Toledo" which is nice and cheap. Via Toledo is near the port of Naples. In the morning after breakfast, you can walk to the port which is nearby and take the ship to Capri, Ischia, Sorrento, Positano and other places on the Amalfi Coast which can be reached in an hour... In the afternoon you return to Naples and the following morning you can go to the port again for a new location!
Great tips! Glad you mentioned that. We have other subscribers that are travelling to Naples in the next couple of weeks. We wanted to take ferry to Capri but ran out of time. Capri…next time. Thank you so mich for watching!!
We made the same mistake and nearly missed our train by seconds. You should look for the code number, which I think is usually 4 digits. That is displaced on the ticket and on the display board with the train destination. We were going to Bologna but nearly missed the train because that was not the final destination, so Bologna was not the destination shown on the board. I wonder how many people have missed their train because of that.
Displays on the tracks are actually showing the destination and every stops're sliding on below. Even in the main stations the automatic voice speaks in English and announce the name, number, departure, destination, time of departure or arriving on the track, number of the track and at least every stops. Moreover be careful with Hight speed trains because they run over all the length of the country. 🤗
Thanks so much for posting this! I will be taking the same train from Rome to Naples in a couple of weeks. I keep reading that Napoli Centrale is 'dangerous' and sketchy - did you experience this too? Would love some pointers if so! Thanks and great video.
Thank you so much for watching!! The Frecciarossa train from Rome to Naples was soooo relaxing. We found the Napoli Centrale train station to be like any other train station in Europe, busy and hectic. My wife and I did not feel any sense of uneasiness. As we exited the station I felt like I was in NYC (I’m a NY’er). Just like in any other city just be aware of your surroundings and ENJOY Naples. Have a fabulous time!!!!
Funny to see a question like this coming from somebody who lives in a country where mass shooting is normal occurrence and subways in New York are crime infested besides being dirty and smelly and rat infested.
Great Video Al & Anita .. your videos are spectacular, your insight on your journeys are really helpful..!! Man those bathrooms were really clean ..!! 😊😄
The Frecciarosa trains take just over an hour from Rome to Naples. They usually cost 20 euros. The IC line (intercity) takes 2 hours and is significantly cheaper when booked in advance.
That would have been so cool to experience! Thank you for watching our videos. Hopefully they are entertaining, fun and encourage our viewers to travel!!
Frecciarossa and Italo get and keep 300km/h often between Milano-Bologna, Bologna-Firenze. Hight speed trains reach this speed in some parts of Roma-Napoli too, probably they didn't figure it out because they were filming, looking out the landscape or have some fun with train managers 😂

Awesome! Thanks for watching and the comments! ENJOY!!!!
While on the metro in Naples…did you guys see any pick pocket thieves?

Great point! Thanks for the view and comments. Hope it helps others travelling by train in Italy.

In reality the Frecciarossa should have reached 300 km/h, otherwise you would have arrived late
