Nice video. Thought the trains would be a tad faster, this compares to the max speed for exo commuter trains here in the Greater Montreal area. I remember going 160 km/h on the Transilien during our trip to Paris last summer. You just gave me an easy routing for visiting Sorrento from Salerno. Train from Salerno to Napoli Centrale, then Campania Express from Napoli to Sorrento and back when our day is done. Oh, I love limoncello, and so does my father-in-law, so we'll be bringing back a couple of bottles from the Amalfi Coast! Thanks!
A great story of travels I love to hear 👍 you have a point the trains could of be more expedient I think because it’s a more tourist train speed is limited to take in the scenery as for the limoncello what a drink but adds to the worth the journey. Enjoy the trip and the limoncello and thanks for the kind comments 👍
Thank you so much for this informative video. It is helping me a lot in planning my train travel from Naples to Sorrento. Visiting this July. Keep up the good work in helping out people.
@@gianluigimaiorano6968 Hi I would say London, is way more expensive to see and eating out but there is more tourist sites to see in London, then Naples 👍
We'll be in Italy next summer, visiting Rome, Salerno, the Amalfi Coast, Naples and the Molise region including Larino, the town where my paternal grandfather was born.
Great help to our planning family holiday trip from Naples to Sorrento, Positano, and Amafli, is there anyone know if I need to book a bus from Sorrento going to Positano and Amafli? thanks a lot.
Thank you 👍 Yes you go to the ticket booth as shown in the video it’s were you see the police persons don’t worry there will be a Campaina express representative you just show them your ticket and they will guide you trough the barriers and all the way to the train platform.Hope this helps 👍
Hi and welcome to the channel I am not sure of this as there is attendances on the train all the way to Sorrento but the Italians are friendly people so it is possibile 😁👍
It sounds like you bought your ticket from thetranline then? How did you use it to get into the train, did you have to print it or did it come as a qr code you could scan? Thank you!
Hi yes I always use trainline as the website is easy to use and no messin about.I just showed the ticket on the phone to the chaperone at the info desk as shown in the video and she brought us tourists through the ticket barrier no hassle and guided us onto the train carriage 👍
@@massive_droner I work on Campania Express you can buy the ticket also on Omio! You needn't to print it, important you show us the QR-Code. We wait for you!
@@ivansalemme8372 Hello, I purchased campania express tickets online, do I need to show the ticket agent my QR code or tell somebody we are waiting for the Campania Express?
@@mfolson81 Hi dear, when you will be in the station(Napoli Garibaldi) there will be some guys like me( white shirt). They ll show you the meeting point, then you have to wait there. When The time to catch the train arrives, you ll follow him/her. You will be in a big group (coach number 1 and number 2). Enjoy it.
Great help, thank you! Does it make a difference if i purchase a ticket in person or online? Also if coming from Sorrento to Naples airport it looks like the Garibaldi station is closest than taking "Alibus"?
Welcome to the channel 🫡 and thanks for the kind words. I greatly like helping people with great manners to start a question.👍 (1) yes, it does make a difference with ticket purchase because, if you buy online you are guaranteed a seat and in busy session this might make a big difference you can purchase a ticket at the station up to 20 minutes prior to the train departure without a seat guarantee and no seat number allocated.I personally booked my ticket in advance to ensure a seat on the Campania express website but there is a ticket booth at the station if you choose to purchase here a good option I suppose, if you don't want to be bound to a certain day or date (2) Yes Garibaldi train/ Naples central train station both the same place, is the destination if coming from Sorrento, so you would need to get the train to Garibald train station here first and then the Ali bus which stops outside the train station entrance.. I hope this helps enjoy the journey👍
@@travelbyplanestrainsandcruise WOW 😳! Thank you for that detailed response. I'll be Sant'agnello and trying to get to the Naples airport and slowly figuring out possibilities. If I am coming in from Rome termini, is the Campania express or circumvesuviana train platform to get to Sorrento in close proximity? I am planning to pre book tickets and don’t know how much time to give between stops.
yes if you book the tickets to arrive into Napoli Centrale from Rome then the Campania expresss in 2-5 minute walk just follow the guidance in the video but I would allow time for delays on the Rome train as they are always possible but your choice hope this helps and enjoy the trip 👍
