Hey Carson. Not trying to criticize, just wanted to give a few pointers. I’ve heard of overstocking African cichlid tanks and it working out fine. However, the opposite is said for American cichlid tanks. Overstocking American cichlid tanks can lead to long term problems as the fish will become very stressed, leaving them open to disease. Also, overstocking American cichlid tanks often lead to one killing the others as they mature. The blood parrot may be the bully now, but eventually he may have a hard time defending himself from some of the other cichlids since blood parrots have trouble biting due to the deformities caused by their hybrid breeding. As of right now, even without the silver dollars, your 75 gallon seems overstocked. It may not seem like it now, but some of those fish will get pretty big since your fish can range anywhere from 6-12 inches. In the 125, it’s possible that they could all work, though pike cichlids are extremely aggressive and some of your cichlids might not be able to stand a chance if they all go in the 125. Lastly, if you do get an Oscar, be careful with the Pictus catfish. As the Oscar gets bigger, he may try to eat the pictus and since pictus catfish have spines, you could possibly lose two fish in the process. Anyways, keep up the good work dude. Hopefully it all works out in the end.
Hey Carson, love the videos. Please start considering quarantining, especially with the fish you really care about. Fish can have diseases/parasites and not show them for up to a month. I’ve learned this lesson the hard way and would suck to see all the fish I’ve watched for the past few years die because of a disease

Me too. First time I bred fish my cories and their entire school was 4 siblings and their mum and dad, bought new ones and they all died within 2 days, if you want I can explain what happened but that really made me sad

Also, if he was to sell his smaller tanks and make some profit he could add that’s towards a larger tank. It’s about being smart and knowing how to handle your business but you just thought about how much money a 200gal was going to cost lol.

I recently bought a 10 gallon aquarium and decided to get back into, what used to be my favorite hobby aqua scaping and live bearing fish. I've been wanting to get a larger tank and set up another aquarium. After watching your channel you've inspired me to do a turtle tank. Keep up the work with the videos and thank you for inspiring me and helping me get back into a hobby that I've always enjoyed.
I’m totally jealous of your pictus catfish! That one is on my dream fish list. I think they may be schooling fish though. You may see it swimming around more with some additional whiskery friends 😉

I just got 6 silver dollars and noticed you have a canister filter. how did the canister filter work out with the silver dollars. I turned my flow down for now until they get acclimated
I always had trouble w Petsmart fish. Their whole filtration system runs all aquariums on ea wall...so if 1 tank on left side of aisle has ick...all the aquariums on that side have it bc they all run on same filtration. I always got a ton of snails whenever buying live plants...you should let that Petsmart know of your loss...if indeed they even care. Hopefully there's a few fish heads in store RIP OZZY
@@fjkhamdan it can be more of a problem than a help mate, most of the best and most experienced fish keepers will tell you not to bother mate. Most fish aren't sensative enough for drip acclimation, not necessary pal, I don't drip my marine fish or coral etc.

10 gallon tanks are $10 when petco and other stores are doing a dollar per gallon sale so that’s a solid start. Only $20 anyways but $10 is obviously better

Same thing happened to my cupid cichlid like the dude was fine in the day but in the evening I started noticing he was dark and sitting at the bottom so few hrs later I check on him before going to sleep and he was just dead... I still don't know how he died cuz every other fish was fine

Never keep Pictus alone in the tank. They need to get kept in a group of 6 or more. And they need some high flow in the tank. And you dont have a pictus, you got a pimelodus blochii. The black dot on the dorsal fin. They grow about 30cm and need a way bigger tank. And like pictus, never keep them alone. Never overstock with american cichlids! You gonna push the aggression to the next level. Do you even research stuff, before you buy a animal? Damn

It's not a Pictus. It's a Pimelodus blochi, they grow big enough for oscars. But still, it feels like he doesn't know anything.

Drip acclimating isn't worth it, only for coral or marine invertebrates more if they've travelled over night etc

Probably like 5 neon tetras and 6 guppy’s would be good. Just be ready for the guppy’s to breed out of control though.
