For anyone who doesn't have fish yet and is watching this, it's important to be aware that normally adding lots of different types of fish to a tank at the same time is a bad idea due to the sudden increase in bio-load as well as the potential for illnesses to spread from one single fish to every fish in the tank, plus certain types of fish simply don't get along. George is experienced and obviously knows this (and all these fish are fairly peaceful fish) but I think George should have at least mentioned it in the video. If someone attempts this in a smaller, less-established aquarium it might not end well for the fish.
thanks you for saing! i normally wouldn't suggest this for a beginner either. a larger school of 1 or two types and adding 5 of each at a time is a better idea. also some of these are not "nano" fish. larger barbs and tetras should have big schools and in a large tank (his tank size is great and the plant cover is amazing) some of them get real chonky and you wouldn't realize how big until you see them full size in person... and 1inch per gallon rule is flawed as well. as for example some larger schooling fish that reach 2-3 inches could not do as well in a school of 4-5 in a 10 gallon. enjoy it as a video, but don't use it as a tutorial 👍
bro every youtuber can't be responsible for every noob who only watches 1 (or less) video and does minimal research for themselves. People gotta learn how to think before they act anyways.
Having kept fish for years myself, I understood that George knows what he's doing. It's a large established aquarium and he did say he would be monitoring it closely, but I could see where a new person might think just anyone could do this. I would always advise new keepers to read and research information before starting an aquarium and adding fish.
I would like to start seeing more home fish videos. I love the tours but I think you should with all the knowledge you’ve learnt from past videos, you could create an amazing home with fantastic fish set ups!
@@MARIHUANO-c5o I suggested that he uses the knowledge that he’s learnt more recently to create more videos like this one, so his past videos don’t apply 🧐
I watch alot of aquarium, pond, fish videos on youtube. And I think this is the first time in a long time that a video has made me want to scape my own tank. A huge tank with a bunch of nano fish is just stunning! Great job George!!!!😊 the aquarium is gorgeous 😍
Barbs do tend to be more aggressive than your average tetra, so keep a closer eye on them if anything. I used to have a Gold Themed tank with Albino Tiger Barbs, Gold Gurami, and Albino Longfinned Rasboras. The Barbs were the most aggressive by far, in my case. It was a 20 gal.
@@MARIHUANO-c5o Eh, it was more for other people than for him. He's clearly more knowledgeable about the aquarium hobby than I am. Besides, with all that space, and the nooks/crannies/hiding places, I do definitely doubt that the barbs will be a problem.
You should point out adding a huge bioload all at one time is very irresponsible. If you have previously been letting organics decompose to build up the tanks ability to handle the sudden increase of fish it can be done. Prep like that should be mentioned.
FYI for your size aquarium and the types of fish you have, they won't outgrow that tank. So no worries! The gold barbs are just about the only fish in that setup that might be an issue since they do like to chase around guppies and nip at them sometimes.
Wow George! You’re so blessed to have the opportunity to shop from such an amazing selection of fish! That tank is so beautiful and colorful! Koi guppies are probably my fav!
It’s cool to have all those different types but if you chose less species and got bigger schools it would be a bit better for the fish especially the tetras and you’d get some cool behaviour. But still a great looking tank and those fish will love it!
Agreed. And I also think that his aquarium is overcrowded. I know that he's really passionate about this hobby but this video could be a very bad example for people who don't know anything about keeping fish at home.
The fish choice could definitely be a lot better. The Neon and Cardinal tetras are known to be very reclusive unless in large schools, I'd say 25 a minimum, and they are shy to begin with, so the activity of the barbs and rainbows will likely stress them out. The Neons and CPDs also prefer waters in the lower to mid 70s, while the other tetras prefer upper 70s and lower 80s. The reason your tetras all schooled together was something called "stress schooling", where the species doesn't have enough in numbers to feel safe and comfortable, so they group with the next closest thing until they can find more of their own kind. It's a good video, but some further research could definitely have been done
Videos are so educational, entertaining and professional!!! Appreciate what you are doing & look forward to all your productions!!! Keep good going George!!!🙏🦞🐠🙏
Just to let others know. Putting that many fish in a tank at once could potentially crash your cycle from the massive ammonia spike. I don't recommend putting that many in at once. Also, one of those barb species need a bigger group than that otherwise they'll get nippy
Love seeing you so into your freshwater aquarium!! Hope to see more freshwater videos I relate to them much more than the saltwater! I still watch regardless because it’s all great content
What a gorgeous tank. I enjoyed watching you pick out the fish then put them in their new home. Amazing. Love them all, but I think the ones that look like koi are my fave.
I hope you and your Family are doing well! I love watching your Videos, I haven’t seen you post in a while. But I hope you are enjoying your Life, I see how much you do to raise awareness on Environmental Problems and I truly appreciate what you are doing and what you have done for this Community. You will always have my support George 💖
Beautiful aquarium and I love all the fish you picked. Many are favorites of mine I've kept in the past. I think my favorite was the Koi guppies. Have never seen those before!
Neon tetras are my fav! The way they school is just awesome. Every community tank I've ever had, they were a must. I love guppies too though. Every color of guppy is gorgeous.
I watched this video start to end and I just have to say, that intern, Oswald or whatever his name is did ONE HELL OF A JOB acclimating those fish. Now I have been a CFA certified fish acclimator for 35 years and I don’t know if it’s just this new generation or what but THIS KID HAS GOT IT. Whatever he is being paid right now make it double on the double 😤.
It'll probably be a good idea to add some bottom feeders, catfish plus a few others that I can't remember the names of, and maybe a few snails to ensure that any left over food and algae is kept to a minimum?? But it's your tank at the end of the day and you will do your own thing, nice looking setup and I used to love to sit and watch my own tanks back in the day, much better than the television lol😊❤😊
How did you remember that? Edit: I just had to check. Lol different angle but the aquarium exactly the same. Perhaps, they use the same stock picture website or something lol
Nice to see your back home. My family is from Colombia and were there at the same time you were. We didn’t bump into sadly but hoping for the future. Loved the video and would love to see more about this type of videos. Keep it up
Hi there, i have a lil question: im getin a new 12 l fish tank but i don't know wich fish and shrimp i should buy in there🤔 do you have some exampels wich fish i should get?

george is awesome for actually saying his video is inspired by pauls video. alot of yt'ers dont give ppl credit or say theyre inspired by others. great job george! 💜👍

George is so cute lol salt water people be so amazed by fresh water fish and fresh water people are so amazed by salt water fish! Lol good job the tank is beautiful!
Just recently bought & set up the nicest 32.5 gal tank I never thought I’d buy, housing my red half moon male betta with about 25 nano fish and snail in there. It’s freaking awesome.
great tank wooow amazing all those fish and my favorite and I love a lot are Guppies those kop guppies woow love all your videos keep those nitrates low George out 🐟🐟
Must know that different species have their own adaptation, some of them need their water warmer than other, some of them need their water colder than other, so choose wisely!
Video inspired by Paul Cuffaro!!!🐠🙏🔥Make sure to go check out his channel 😊 Who else has been dying to get some new fish for their tank?! :)
Put your priciest betta there to be your "centerpiece fish"
I love your videos
Can you update us on your saltwater tanks
Im good my alien betta in my 20 gal is pretty sweet along with some bottome feeders to keep the sand bed clean and plants
Bro the rosy barb will pick on all the guppys

Completely agree-the rainbow sharks we’re not my favorite. Those fish get territorial fast.
If your plants and tank look like his it’s not an issue, which you really wouldn’t achieve unless you were capable in the first place 🤷🏻♀️

Pretty sure he knows 😐
Thats just tiger barbs being li’l assholes
