A new Stronghold game after such a long wait! Whether you're familiar with the series or a newcomer, I hope this video provides some guidance as to what's going on. A lot of familiar features from the older titles are carried over, with some unique additions to add some twists and turns. If you haven't already picked the game up, you can do so here to support the channel - www.nexus.gg/PartyElite ! If you *have* picked it up and are looking for folks to play it with, check out our discord - discord.gg/6Tq3ut5 Enjoy!
Bought the game after not touching the series since legends, honestly pretty happy with it. It's nothing groundbreaking, and is honestly pretty dated by modern standards but it's still fun. There's definitely some features I'd change or revert to the way they were in previous titles, but I'm happy with my purchase, because at the end of the day there isn't really any other game quite like stronghold (at least until manor lords comes out, then we'll see if Firefly being a small studio is really an excuse.) Probably helps that I followed the game before release and tempered my expectations accordingly.
i havnt played any of the stronghold series so went looking for an older version to buy cheap on steam to try it out before maybe buying this latest version (which i think looks fantastic) low and behold "Stronghold Kingdoms" is free to play on steam, yippee, looking forward to this.
Stronghold Kingdoms bears little resemblance to the rest of the Stronghold series as far as game play is concerned. It has a medieval setting and uses the same models, but that's pretty much where the similarity ends. But, the earlier Stronghold titles still stand up pretty well as far as entertainment is concerned and should be easy to find.
@@silentotto5099 thanks for reply. i uninstalled after 5 minutes of playing, it wanted me to spend cash on coins to have a build que. think i will look for another version to just buy off of steam.
Watched it a little on twitch. Clunky ui, timelimits everywhere in the missions, annoyingly narrow building space and no castle builder anymore, rather an action-citybuilder. Guess i bury the series for myself.
Very nice review! Honestly looks like the same game as was released years ago, with better graphics. Not some huge improvement such as Age of Wonders. I bought the original game when it came out years ago, and played the heck out of it.
I prefer the classic stronghold where you deployed Thousands of troops and a bunch of them would get shwaked at the initial breach. Instead of just having about 75 troops who survive a bunch of arrow fire. Also it would be cool if the bodies just stay there forever like total war.
The original Stronghold and both of the Crusader games still hold up well as far as entertaining game play is concerned. Stronghold 2 and 3 are more of a mixed bag. Stronghold two expanded the economic aspect of the game and Stronghold 3 introduced some fantasy elements. Personally, I never warmed up to 2, but had a lot of fun with 3. I'd advise cutting your teeth on the Crusader games. They should be cheap to acquire and you can see if you like it.
Definitely Warlords, there is a lot more going on, more layers, better gameplay, better graphics. I played Warlords first, then played Crusader 2 after, and I could not get into Crusader.
Should have stuck to their original release date, Valheim is occupying a lot of gamers time these days. Now they will only attract the die hard fans, in my opinion. Then again, lockdown could bring in some new interest but not as much as if they released before Valheim.
Can't know how I stopmed onto this. All in all Awesome clip 🤩🤩🤩. I also watched those similar from mStarTutorials and kinda wonder how you guys make these clips. MStar Tutorials also had amazing info about similiar money making things on his channel.

Imagine being a broke ass minimum wage loser that can't afford $20 for a game 😂😂🤣😂🤣 no wonder you're begging for money on the internet 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Loved the old Stronghold games (except SH3). I think I'll try this one.
I loves this game years ago, tbink I might hit up again
I'm cautiously optimistic. Legends and 3 weren't for me. But Warlords looks fine so far.
not enough wood mi lord
Tea houses - tea fields - TEA!
Pure leaf tea happened to be the ad to this video. Lol😅

what makes it dated?
I’m enjoying it, just got it on steam
Thanks
Mixed review on steam. Yup, pretty much expected.

I came here to for some tips. Instead I get explenation about basic mechanics that are explained in game tutarial.
How do I have to start as a free man in this game? Like the stronghold 2 steam edition
Imma reforge stronghold 3
how to rotate buildings? mine only flip not 90 degree turn, help please
Notification squad ❤️❤️
eeesh that UI is...not great
Swords against armor and axes against clothes? That's kinda backwards
I'm thinking about getting strong hold. Not sure which one to get crusader 2 or warlord. Which one is better?

cannot find how to win with diplomacy points. Click Red button but the bowing man does not come up
12:29 Do multiple consulates stack diplomacy points? or is it the bigger consulate the better.
Just build all of them and connect them with roads to your lords keep.
did you know you can speed up the game faster?

Just get Stronhold HD instead
Wait is pop cap 32?!
no, depends on the amount of houses you build
This game can be good, but I really disliked every "stronghold" game after Crusader... It just lost the charm for me
Oh i see how it is, too troubling for an episode, but enough for a 3 hour livestream and 16 min vid!

Another firefly trash... Stronghold 1, Crusader and Crusader 2 are best!
If you didn't play with it just shut up or pay and play.
This game sucks. I have spears and blow pipes and they get chopped down like grass
This game is so stupid and dumb
Why is it so stupid and dumb?
