This is an excellent video...exhaustive and comprehensive. I had to trudge across a cold, icy snow-covered campus to hear a lecture on ferns in Botany 101 that wasn't anywhere near as engaging and informative as this short video. College biology courses should be confined to laboratory and field work and leave the lectures to highly polished videos like these with superlative graphics that drive home the life cycle of ferns in an exceedingly understandable way.
I read about ferns and their life cycle, you pictured it for me. Thanks to you, I will probably remember this topic for a long time to come, even though it is not related to what I want to do in the future. Underestanding how nature works always amazes me. Thank you sooo much!
There's a problem in having any sort of canned education. Real education is a dialogue. The problem with learning now, is there's very little room to explore and question. Even at the U level it's this way until grad school. Lab, field, and lectures should all be more exploratory. No wonder kids are bored and too often grow up into unquestioning, unimaginative automatons. These videos are cool but no substitute for real interaction.

I am studying plants this week in Biology class and this video was extremely helpful. It made the concept easy to understand.
