I'm 46 and have loved cartoons, animation, and drawing all my life. A few years ago I created an animated video from a song I wrote based on my career experience and became even more passionate about animation. I have worried that I am too old to do anything now with animation, but you have inspired me! It is never too late! Thank you.

I love you and your art so much! ive watched all your videos about a million time! I dont think i wouldve gotten into art or at least kept trying if it were not for you and your videos! Keep doing what your doing and inspiring millions... i used to get bullied a lot and still do, and at the end of the day when i feel like just dying.. you and your videos help me a lot. I laugh and smile more watching your videos than i do doing anything else.. i know this is long and random but i just wanted to put it out there how much you help and inspire people like me! I love you jazza.

the fact that you are so connected to the tale taller and it means so much to you bring to us the viewers waves of feelings about the video even before you said that the animation is personal for you. you put so much thogth into it, the little things, the sounds- what would make it real and why everything is happening. that is magic. 10 minutes of gold made me cry so much. you are a very special man and I want to thank you for what you're giving to us.(sorry for my bad English it's not my language)

OK I almost cried while watching the short but I ACTUALLY cried while watching this. especially the part with your son made me so emotional because I want to become an illustrator and work in a kindergarten right now so children and art as a combination make me incredibly sentimental as it is. and also thank you so much for uploading this because it helps to understand just how much work goes into something like this.

I really wish I could get into animating seriously. Sadly I only have time to do short little animations in between art pieces, and attempts at creating comics. They're never really good, and I barely improve with each one, but at least I'm doing something.

You my friend, are a creative genius. As a freelance artist/illustrator, and a musician myself, I can only say that I pale in comparison to what you do. I have now been watching your channel for over a month now, running through the many tutorials and finding that even though I know the basics, and even though I see clearly each process you describe to get to the final results of a project, I still fall short of being the class act that you are. You are an inspiration to artists all over the world, and in my case, even though I have been doing this for many years, you give me the push to carry on. Thank you SO much for what you do on here, and any of your other endeavors!

Everything you show here is just inspiring. Everybody in a point of their artist carreer need a reference, somebody who point the way. I found that guy! You definitively show me the way. The downside of it... seeing how much work it take knowing I can't give that amount of time to this (I got my job - I'm Chef cook), but I'll surely do my best to go on and step by step... reach my goal! I love how he shows how every part was essential. That everyone who was part of it was important. Often, people think that one part of a project is more important than the rest. When really if you take out one part of the animation (music and all) and watch the animation, it's not the same. You can do this with every part.

I love the video, but it's not as easy as it seems.
Very little people are willing to invest in animation.
I'm an experienced motion designer and i'm still struggling to get any clients, after years.
    Everybody wants stuff for free...
I guess in the client's point of view creatives don't have to eat or pay rent.

It is time you get business like. Jazza does everything but plans better than most creative people. That is his real success.
Find out what you are really good at. Be brutally frank with yourself. Then find people who will fill in the other areas - Network like mad. Create your own (public interest) opportunities and find people to fund it in return for their promotion.
If this is not appealing, better find a job in your area of competence.
This is the the same advice I gave my son who is in college with animation.

I see a lot of this in Los Angeles. Artists have to speak the same language as the entities who pay the invoices. "Deal Memos" to describe the scope of work. Payment schedules -and when it goes to collection. Who the payroll company is. Get paid 1/3 up front. Document change orders and get approved before starting work. Use collaborating software to clock in and out. Generally, dont turn over a Final before that last check clears.

'The Tale Teller' is an incredible piece that is the dream of all creators. I say this because you as the creator had full control over your piece, and that being said, it came to life because of you. It is definitely a creation I can only dream of, being brilliantly written and wonderfully crafted, that I hope one day I'll produce my own beautiful piece.
'The Tale Teller' has touched so many hearts in many ways, and that by itself is a lovely homage.
Thank you very much Josiah "Jazza" Brooks for showing your outstanding talents to the wonderful people of this world.
I wish you well in all you do :)

I'm making an animated film for my senior year, by myself, because my college is not a college of animation or digital artists. So this is really helpful for me, thank you so much for making this!

Adonai yeah. Now I know how unfit we are, yet how capable and full of potential we can be, as human beings.
But I still feel myself... Late to all this.
