SPOILERS Louise honestly did it to herself. She was told by her best friend, Marianne AND David to STAY THE HELL AWAY from Adele but she kept going back. Even after she realized the truth she still wanted to search for answers like girl.. if only she stayed her ass at home we would’ve gotten our happy ending 😭
Yes!!! She tried really hard to save them both! She was such a good soul! In real life, I would have just f*** them both off!!! And never engaged in a relation ship with her! The whole series I was like "common!!!" Adele's character annoyed me so much!!! But then... The ending. I cried because of Adam... A son left alone from his nurturing, affectionate, life wild and wise, mother... No kid should have to be in Adam's position in any movie, even if it happens in real life! I just can't cope with the ending... Just can't!
That honestly made me cry. Adele in reality was the good person and Rob was the evil. That's why his body didn't feel right to her. She could feel his jealousy and envy but she knew it was too late.

nine times out of ten I can guess a plot twist correctly, even when I shouldn’t be able to, like a mini hidden talent…no ending to a tv show or movie has EVER had me floored the way this one did. right when I thought I’d figured it out, boom- the last 8 minutes of the finale, my jaw was on the floor. probably the most creatively written show I’ve ever seen.

SPOILERS It really makes me sad cause, first, we never actually got to see the actual Adele, since 70% of it was Rob, and Adele seemed like a genuine character. Second, omgg David, I was shitting on him the entire season thinking he was the villain but he is the actual victim here. Oh and Louise well, it’s sad for her son but omg she made all the bad decisions in the final episode, especially when David clearly told her to stay away from Adele

Being surrounded by ppl who victimized themselves all my life I kinda figured that David wasn't the bad guy and Adele gave off eerie vibes that it was quite obvious
Absolutely blown away. Coming from someone who has never even heard of the book, and saw this pop up on my Netflix feed, I came in with a complete open mind. It starts off quite slow, but has a consistent dark tone throughout. After each episode, you start asking more questions, and making more and more guesses, and then just when you think you've figured it out... I literally turned off my TV and just stared into oblivion for an hour after watching this show. 10/10 for wow factor for sure.

when David is telling the story about how he saved the real Adele from a fire to Louise. He is very sad because deep down he knows that the real Adele is gone. That why he said "some girl".
I was disappointed how rushed the ending was. I mean David went to the station to report the incident with Rob potentially being dead. The house burns down and Adele dies and immediately David and “Louise” get married. Great series but too rushed at the end.
Ignored this at first and thought it would be some boring series. But when I finished it, I was blown away. This is the kind of series that after finishing it, because of the plot twist, you would rewatch it with a different perspective on each of the scenes. Highly recommended.
There were clues all along if you knew what to look for: The cooking, the ripped out pages of the journal, Adele going into the part of the city with the junkies, the Heroin box...
and if you notice, adele's aura is purple. but when her aura wondering to spy on david&louise, it was blue. i just realized blue is rob's. the hint was always there and we didnt notice😂

Not only that but her skin color served the character well too. I like it when they implement how a persons color or sexual orientation affects the way they act or make decisions in life. Like if u make a person gay for example dont just do it to cover the gay card. but do it if the character being gay makes their decisions in the story make sense. u know? Say like if i want to do a character that is cautious and doesnt trust people easily. Maybe if i made him a gay person from a country that isnt accepting of gays, it would be an explanation as to why they dont trust people and a believable one at that. You dont even have to show the back story. Just show that they are gay and from a religious country and people can connect the dots. That way it doesnt feel like its just checking the gay box. The girl in the show has a lot of heart. She doesnt conform to white beauty standards. Has a loving fun relationship with her kid. U can easily imagine her backstory and how that made her the person that she is now. And it matches the decisions she makes on the show.
Oh just shut up everything has to be about race who cares if shes black or white its getting boring now. “Im glad they used a black character”. Noone cares its the acting that matters and she smashed it. Always attention seeking have to make it about “oh were black we need attention”. Just shut up. Before anyone says am being racist am black. Jus fed up of people crying for attention. Were all the same!

SPOILERS Wow, what an ending. I felt really bad for Louise, she was just trying to do the right thing in the end, and then Adam, who just lost his mother. I mean the last scene focused on her eyes was really disturbing and heartbreaking at the same time. But most of all, David, is the one feel most sorry for, no matter how hard he tries he will never get rid of Rob.
Damn, if only I have great attention to detail. I should have known the first time they showed the clear color of the astral projection of Adele in the room. I should have instantly known it wasn't Adele anymore, it was Rob all along. Adele's astral is purple and Rob is blue. When the realization hits you and it all comes to one piece. Shit, the mind fvck! Also, in the end when they focused on Louise's (Rob) sinister smile and then eyes before the ending credits and played the song with the lyrics "I'm gonna do bad things. Do it like it was nothing" it foreshadows years of suffering again for David, and now with Adam too. Brilliant and sad at the same time.

I knew something was off about this guy, the way he looked at David and envied Adele, and the similarities between both characters counting fingers and all, but I have to say I’m shocked! I never expected the ending would go this far🤯
Remember that Rob taught Adele about counting fingers. He also said he was gay and told her how much he envied her happiness, being rich and lastly, think of his background. I don’t want to give more away...

We’ve always been conditioned to expect a happy ending, I did, but bc all 4 characters were so flawed, I accepted the “villain winning.” Very sad for Adam.

The author did a really good job creating this story but I'd be willing to bet money she got her inspiration from skeleton key. The main plots have very similar identity.
Louise was extremely naive and annoying. In the last episode, I thought if she dies she brought it on herself; however, the twist was super redeeming. I then felt bad for Louise.
I thought Louise was pretty awful. Even in the end I still didn’t like her. Just because Adele happened to be Rob, that didn’t make Louise any more likable. At all.

If you pay attention on the details of the film you will understand all... before the scene was revealed when Rob switched bodies with Adele. The aura of Rob was blue and Adeles was purple... When Louise Astral projected herself.. her aura was green and the aura of Adele in the bedroom was blue... Soo it was Rob all the time not Adele. There were clues all over the movie...Adele did not have an addiction.. Rob did... Adele Astral projected her self easy.. Rob always did that thing with his fingers... counting his fingers... And much more clues.
@@thames1978 Adele was in that psychiatric facility because of her parents death... She had mental health problems after the fire and the death of her parents not because of addiction. Because at first when you watch the movie don't know what to look for....you might not see the clues all over the place... But after the entire series is finished all the clues just come together and you realize that the truth was in front of you all the time.
Fr!! She deserved so much better! Also the fact that David thought of her as dangerous and bad, when it was rob all along after the swap. He never found out the real Adele who he actually loved, had died 10 years ago🥺
I just finished watching this and WOW... that ending was so not expected. I'm still feeling sorry for Adam, he noticed right away that his mother had changed when she didn't reach out to hug him.

Oh man! I wasn’t ready for that ending. This has been one hell of a roller coaster ride. The best plot twist I have seen in years. If you’re a shutter island fan you’re definitely gonna love this one. It leaves you feeling in a similar way to that. The ending was an eyeopener and makes you have an immediate flash back of all the past events in the series. Amazing! 💯🙏🏼❤️
I watched Shutter Island yesterday. I liked the movie very much, and I started looking for a movie similar to it. I saw this movie and watched it till the end. In a word, it was magnificent. The end was very unexpected.
"Adele" knew that David was following in love with "Louise" that's why "she" gave her the book to learn how the soul can leave the body...so only in that way they could change each other's soul. The same thing happened with Rob and Adele. Pour Little Adams and David of course. How will this ends?! Waiting for next season.
This show just blew my mind, it's truly a masterpiece. Every episode was so intense and unpredictable. The fact that I was expecting a twist at the end, yet I got two twists is just mind-blowing. I'm not gonna spoiler anything especially the end, cuz it's the most shocking, messed up and unpredictable ending you could ever see, but all I'm gonna say IT'S WORTH EVERY SECOND! I finished in one night.
The way Rob behaved in the kitchen and the dining hall hinted me that he is into David n maybe Adele killed him for this, but later when I got to know about the body swap thing in the fire scene, I was sure that Rob changed his body before too with Adele, so the ending scene was not a shock for me
1. After Rob takes possession of Adele, he waits for David in the shade in the same timid way he did when he first was presented to David. 2. Rob cooked very well not Adele 3. David couldn't look Adele in the eye because the secret was in the eye. 4. When Adele hands him the box while he was in the bath, Rob tells Adele "something to remember you by" 5. Rob was the junky reason why Adele (Rob) was so consumed and used frequently. Real Victims: Adele(real), Adam Second class victims: David Should have stayed away from them: Louise🥺😓🤧
Louis’ friend asks her while on the veranda if she wants her to leave the door open or closed. Louis says ‘closed’ meaning that she doesn’t want the friend back in her life either.

Just finished the last episode. Kept thinking, doesn't your souls leave your body once you die? I was waiting on Louise's soul to get out of Adele's body and back into hers at the end. That's kind of a plot hole
@@JustDebz We didn't see it come out though. I've read some people's comments on the pigeon from one of the last scenes being inhabited by Louise's soul, after I wrote this. So I guess we'll see.

That point specifically destroyed the whole series for me:D It does not make any sense AT ALL. I mean, Louise acting stupidly before out of feeling guilty, okkkk, I somehow can get along with that. But this? This is not just stupid, this simply does not make any sense. She couldn't have helped her in any sense by doing Astral projection. Nothingggg. So why doing it in that moment? As I said, this destroyed everything for me. It's not about the unhappy ending for me, it's about the nonsense of this particular point. 😄
That's not fair - at all. Stop hating on Louise. She made human mistakes just like everyone else. Rob took advantage of her disposition and completely manipulated her. David manipulated her too - then used his position to threaten her when he had no authority to fire her. Better judgement aside, I don't think anyone would've been prepared for how complicated that situation was.

This show also tells us a lot bout how it's not only the exterior /the looks of a person that matter.. But also the interior.. how the person thinks and sees the world. Loved it!
The fact that even though I have read the book, I still feel as unnerved watching the trailer as I did reading it. Sarah Pinborough has indeed devised the perfect piece of uncanny literary work, complete with such a sinister undertone that it begged to be adapted into a mini-series and it did. This does look promising. Anyone who has not read the book, I can only ask you to brace yourselves for a shocker of an ending that left me gawking into oblivion for a good ten minutes.
I thought Rob liked Adele, he was obsessed with her, they looked like best friends. It looked like he was envious of David, that he didn't like him. But it was vice versa.

The ending was terrifying IMO especially considering what Rob may do to poor little Adam just to get him out of the way so Rob & David can be alone. I hope Rob just lets Adam go live with his dad full time. Rob is evil b cuz Adele truly loved & trusted him as her best friend. She taught him how to astral travel & in return he tricked her, murdered her, stole her body, life, money & her man. Rob was never REALLY Adele's friend. Adele, then David & eventually Louise and Adam all become victims of Rob's selfish, evil greed, lies & coveting. The ending was a shock followed by an even bigger (worse) surprise. I rate this show 5 🌟 it was GREAT (excellent acting, many mysteries & thrills along the way, lots of unanswered questions until near the end so it will keep you on the edge of your seat!)
When I finished the book at 4 AM, I had no one to discuss it so I tweeted to Sarah Pinborough that I am never going to read any of your books again. I was shocked and amazed. btw Sarah said "thanks".

Absolutely blown away. Coming from someone who has never even heard of the book, and saw this pop up on my Netflix feed, I came in with a complete open mind. It starts off quite slow, but has a consistent dark tone throughout. After each episode, you start asking more questions, and making more and more guesses, and then just when you think you've figured it out... I literally turned off my TV and just stared into oblivion for an hour after watching this show. 10/10 for wow factor for sure.

I was disappointed how rushed the ending was. I mean David went to the station to report the incident with Rob potentially being dead. The house burns down and Adele dies and immediately David and “Louise” get married. Great series but too rushed at the end.
Ignored this at first and thought it would be some boring series. But when I finished it, I was blown away. This is the kind of series that after finishing it, because of the plot twist, you would rewatch it with a different perspective on each of the scenes. Highly recommended.

Not only that but her skin color served the character well too. I like it when they implement how a persons color or sexual orientation affects the way they act or make decisions in life. Like if u make a person gay for example dont just do it to cover the gay card. but do it if the character being gay makes their decisions in the story make sense. u know?
Say like if i want to do a character that is cautious and doesnt trust people easily. Maybe if i made him a gay person from a country that isnt accepting of gays, it would be an explanation as to why they dont trust people and a believable one at that.
You dont even have to show the back story. Just show that they are gay and from a religious country and people can connect the dots.
That way it doesnt feel like its just checking the gay box.
The girl in the show has a lot of heart. She doesnt conform to white beauty standards. Has a loving fun relationship with her kid. U can easily imagine her backstory and how that made her the person that she is now. And it matches the decisions she makes on the show.

Wow, what an ending. I felt really bad for Louise, she was just trying to do the right thing in the end, and then Adam, who just lost his mother. I mean the last scene focused on her eyes was really disturbing and heartbreaking at the same time. But most of all, David, is the one feel most sorry for, no matter how hard he tries he will never get rid of Rob.

Damn, if only I have great attention to detail. I should have known the first time they showed the clear color of the astral projection of Adele in the room. I should have instantly known it wasn't Adele anymore, it was Rob all along. Adele's astral is purple and Rob is blue. When the realization hits you and it all comes to one piece. Shit, the mind fvck! Also, in the end when they focused on Louise's (Rob) sinister smile and then eyes before the ending credits and played the song with the lyrics "I'm gonna do bad things. Do it like it was nothing" it foreshadows years of suffering again for David, and now with Adam too. Brilliant and sad at the same time.

If you pay attention on the details of the film you will understand all... before the scene was revealed when Rob switched bodies with Adele. The aura of Rob was blue and Adeles was purple... When Louise Astral projected herself.. her aura was green and the aura of Adele in the bedroom was blue... Soo it was Rob all the time not Adele. There were clues all over the movie...Adele did not have an addiction.. Rob did... Adele Astral projected her self easy.. Rob always did that thing with his fingers... counting his fingers... And much more clues.
Adele did have an addiction that was the reason she was in rehabilitation i think. I don’t remember if they revealed what she was addicted too though.

Oh man! I wasn’t ready for that ending. This has been one hell of a roller coaster ride. The best plot twist I have seen in years. If you’re a shutter island fan you’re definitely gonna love this one. It leaves you feeling in a similar way to that. The ending was an eyeopener and makes you have an immediate flash back of all the past events in the series. Amazing! 💯🙏🏼❤️

Love the show, hate the ending. I feel sorry for everyone( except Rob). Still don't want to believe that Louise is dead and that David and Adam are stuck with that psycho.

This show also tells us a lot bout how it's not only the exterior /the looks of a person that matter.. But also the interior.. how the person thinks and sees the world. Loved it!

The fact that even though I have read the book, I still feel as unnerved watching the trailer as I did reading it. Sarah Pinborough has indeed devised the perfect piece of uncanny literary work, complete with such a sinister undertone that it begged to be adapted into a mini-series and it did. This does look promising.
Anyone who has not read the book, I can only ask you to brace yourselves for a shocker of an ending that left me gawking into oblivion for a good ten minutes.

when Rob tells Adele on the clinic something about "her having had a shelted life, perfect and far hidden from the real world. that people might fool her. Dude in the end was him the monster who tricked her. so shocked. Poor Adele and poor little Adam

Louise been pissing me off, even when her friend Sophie told her to mind her own business and leave it alone. She just didn't 🙄😒I was just so annoyed I kept screaming listen to your friend!.
The ending was terrifying IMO especially considering what Rob may do to poor little Adam just to get him out of the way so Rob & David can be alone. I hope Rob just lets Adam go live with his dad full time. Rob is evil b cuz Adele truly loved & trusted him as her best friend. She taught him how to astral travel & in return he tricked her, murdered her, stole her body, life, money & her man. Rob was never REALLY Adele's friend. Adele, then David & eventually Louise and Adam all become victims of Rob's selfish, evil greed, lies & coveting. The ending was a shock followed by an even bigger (worse) surprise. I rate this show 5 🌟 it was GREAT (excellent acting, many mysteries & thrills along the way, lots of unanswered questions until near the end so it will keep you on the edge of your seat!)
