Hey! anchal I have been watching your videos since long time n I love watching it I want your advice on this, pre lockdown I was a teen who used to love reading but during and after lockdown I just stopped reading and since last 3 years life is a real mess 🥲 but I think for me it's time to restart The question: I've ordered several books in hope that I'll read them but now I am not willing to touch them ( atleast now) The ultimate question: from where should I start
let me tell you my similar story and what helped me, during my school days I loved reading but when i went to high school I stopped reading. My life was a mess during the 2 years of high school, I stopped doing a lot of things that made be happy. My +2 was just over when covid started, and lockdown actually became a good opportunity for my creative self( I started sketching and painting and making videos) but reading books was still difficult for me until last year. Now I've been reading a lot and enjoying the books. so, this is what helped me: 1) If you are still searching for a book to start with I recommend "A good girl's guide to murder" As a fantasy book person who loves thriller this is what I started with. 2) I believe that reading a fast paced book helps a lot because the story line moves so fast and gives you twist and turns and you are sitting there wanting to know more. 3) If you already have this book take it with you everywhere you go. when you're sitting alone and have nothing to do just open the book and start, because when you have nothing else to do your mind is willing to do even the things that you would not prefer doing otherwise. I used to read on my way home(took around 15 mins) in a bus because there I had nothing else to do. 4) I would also suggest not buying tons of books all in one go because that might leave you overwhelmed, just stick to the one that you're reading.
