What a blessing. My husband and I had to euthanise our precious little cat almost 3 years ago. She had an aggressive stomach tumour and the vets said if we attempted treatment, she’d suffer tremendously especially due to her age. We didn’t know exactly how old she was because she was found as a pregnant stray in 2002 and this took place in 2021. She had to be at least 20. It tore me apart to carry through with it. We had two vets come to the house and went to the backyard which was her favorite place. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day. They administered the relaxation shot while she was in my arms and the second in my husband’s arms where she slipped away. I’m crying writing this. I’ll always love and miss her. We got her ashes and planted them in plant pots with beautiful flowers.
We had to put down our beloved boy in 2021 - he was only 8 years old and had struggled with herpes related issues all of his life which ultimately caused horrible breathing issues. He fought so hard - we also fought so hard. We loved our dear sweet boy with all of our hearts and we cried our eyes out - crying now as I write! The only thing that consoles me is knowing that he is in heaven in my dear sweet mother's arms - she loved him very much also! Thank you for sharing - are hearts are broken for you both but we know that you were the best parents and loved your dear baby and precious loved you and appreciated every single thing that you did! I’ve been lucky enough to have a wonderful home vet who has helped us with our babies crossings. He is so loving and gentle with them. For my last 2 dogs this past year I also had my animal communicator on the phone with me who advised me when they were ready . Now my little 17 year old calico is showing her age but eating better now . I hope she decides to stay around for a few more years.❤
Senior animals, especially cats in my opinion, are the most loving and affectionate animals, especially when you've grown with them. I wish they'd live as long as us.

I was 20 when she died. She was a member of my family, we were 4 and we never leave her behind for holidays. My parents always choose a place where she could be fine and she loved the trips in our car. I adopted the second one at 25 when i have been ill and he helped me so much to go through that difficult times. When he grew old, i took care of him as he did. An old cat is a precious friend with a deeper voice, a fur less beautiful, difficulties to jump, a thiner back, sometimes some screams in the night but to take care of him to the very end with love and respect is priceless.
I love her. Mostly because my own cat, a calico too is 22 years old as well. She is my joy everyday. She helped me go throughout many things. Bless them!

On April 22, 1992 I lost my best friend, a female black cat named Snoopy that wandered into my life as a little lost kitten one Sunday afternoon and remained with me for the next 18 years. She became my best friend helped me make it through difficult times and became the child I never had, my "cat child". I think of her often and hold her, to this day, in my heart. When I'm down I still talk to her and still feel her love all around me.
We had a cat who lived until 23 and another till 17. The 23 yrs old was a neglected cat I took in. I know she was 23 because an elderly neighbour had her the same time I had another cat which only lived until 12 (they'd been kittens at the same time) After the elderly woman moved away and left her I took her in. She was a good sweet cat who'd not always had it easy. I'm glad she chose us.
Tears fall, I can't help it. Perhaps because I'm amazed how the owner takes care of her. Other people when their pets are old they take them down which is cruel unless they're sick. God bless you mate. You inspire me.

I find myself as well as another person coming back to your posts over and over I just can't get over how wonderfully you have taken care of your cat perfect weight nice and healthy shiny eyes shiny further a little hip dysplasia or arthritis but other than that a very beautiful semi-healthy cat your cat is so precious and it's obvious that you are precious to your cat I love post like this your cat worships the ground you walk on literally that is so awesome that does not happen and all the time and everyday life but your cat has built their life around you and that is so wonderful as you have built your life around your cat thank you so much for all your wonderful posts your cat is so beautiful and so lucky you both are so lucky to have each other

I love the way you think about her, not many these days cares about each other and less about animals. My cat stayed in bed with me when I was weak ( I got Lupus). When I could rise again she walked by my side. When I weren’t around she stopped to eat 😢when I was in hospital I had to call her so that she could see and here me. That bond we shared was pure love. She died at home and I held her paws and kissed here non stop until she was gone. The best love in my life 🙏🏼❤

When I weren’t around she stopped to eat 😢when I was in hospital I had to call her so that she could see and here me. That bond we shared was pure love. She died at home and I held her paws and kissed here non stop until she was gone.
