I was 15 when this group really stirred my soul...the bass that bass !!.. I ended playing bass in a group ....like she said it would take volumes to explain how i felt ....God bless her .
Cynthia absolutely beautiful. Thanks for the great music, and Lord you played the horn like no other. peacefully resting and appreciating you. April 2nd 2020
"Freddie & the Stone Souls" is the Group I played in briefly! - Freddie, Ted & Greg Errico and myself played at "The California Hall," and the Sokol Hall on Page St. in San Francisco, Calif. - "Winchester Cathedral," in Redwood City burned down, to the ground, right after Sly & the Family Stone finished their gig there! - "Leon & the V.I.P's" were schedualed to perform there, the next weekend, and WE couldn't, because the entire place was nothing but ashes!
Wow such fascinating memories. Does anyone remember Lou Gage record store in the lower Fillmore in the late 60's to early 70's. My mother knew him and we'd always go there to buy the latest 45's. I met Sly once at his house out in the Ingleside district in San Francisco long time ago. My mother knew a few DJ's from KSOL and KDIA radio station. Wonderful memories of growing up in the 60's in San Francisco!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤️
Cynthia was a very nice person. I always had great interactions with her. I cannot believe she is gone. Fun, I am sorry for your loss. Nobody told me about the funeral. I would have went had I known.
This is just great! I sincerely appreciate this documentary. It is precious to see and hear everyone share their own experiences in this part of history that is so important to American history, music history, human history, and the individual history of the life and times of the souls presented here in their own words. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS!! Peace, love, music, and soul✌😍👏🎺🎷🎸🥁🎙🎹🔊🎼🎼🎵🎶🎶🔔💗💗💗
Sly lived in new Brunswick nj and I went to his at home "studio". It was shameful what I saw ...all the drugs EVERYWHERE. I left. I love their music but I hate what drugs did to Sylvester.

The magnificent "Sly and The Family Stone" sacraficed a lot to make fans happy. GOD Bless them.
She was beautiful. Inside and out.
Has she passed away?
@@v.c.webster9250 Yes. A few years back.
🌹 🙏
Immensely talented and important and vastly underrated Sly and the Family Stone. Sly Stone's life would make a great feature film.
The early 70s ..Cynthia was the coolest with that horn, the way she would play..nothing like it..she would jam....⭐🌹

"... this is my band, and my music and there ain't gonna be no vote..." That's the best part of the interview. Great interview. 8)))

Best trumpet player and dancer I can think of.
Love Cynthia, the real deal
Amazing, no thumbs down!!!!
She was so beautiful, talented and sexy! Looks like Pam Grier a bit.
I'll miss you Cynthia

“Let’s vote”...Bass players!🤦🏻♂️
I can imagine Noel Redding wanting to vote to see who would be the leader of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
I remember when he went on to form Graham Central Station. Good band and music, but nowhere near Sly and the family Stone!!!!!!!! 👍
R.I.P. Cynthia Robinson.
(Why does Wanda Sykes resemble her though?)
She looks like an older Pam Grier.
i didnt know she was white i throught she was black but she got soul bad sister on the horn
@@obuford7584 - What a weird comment! Pam Grier is African American, and so was Cynthia Robinson.
@@wiseonwords Yup, wasn't Pam, Rosey Grier daughter. He played for the Los Angeles Rams football team
