Mr. Freddie Stone. Your music lives on forever....That blessing is from God. I WAS MORE LUCKY THAN ANYONE. I was the little kid who sat on his stingray bike in your fathers driveway many days on DeSoto & Urbano Drive in SF listening to your rehearsals and soaking up knowledge from you guys, then riding home around the corner to pick notes out on our old piano. Ironically, later in time, a friend of ours, Roland T., once brought you to my studio on Wallace St. across the street from the 7up factory in Bayview SF, and you blessed me, while playing a bassline, rhythm, and melody simultaneously. THAT WAS BEYOND AMAZING to a young 🎹 dude. THANKS TO YOU & THE FAM, I've toured with Envogue/Arsenio Hall 3 times, and STILL making music. We have history and I wanted to say thanks to you, Cynthia, and Sly for ALL you've done for my musical life and style, directly and indirectly. Bless you brother🤝🏾 -Stevio Rome. p.s.- Cynthia (drove a cool jaguar) was the kindest to this little kid of all y'all.🤣 "If you want me to stay" was the 1st ever piece of sheet music that I ever bought😎I LOVE & CHERISH YOUR GIFTS TO THE 🌍 THANKS SO MUCH

Very gratifying to see Freddie doing so well, having found himself, having shed the baggage that pulled so many down. Congratulations Freddie, you are out of the shadows and in the light, and I know that you brought many along with you. Your strength and faith are inspiring.

This is awesome. This is awesome testimony. I don't keep up with media, etc. I said this recently, though. About Sly Stone. I read that this family was COGIC, if I am correct. That is the background the foundation. I said that Sly yet lives, is that HIS FAMILY LABORS IN PRAYER FOR HIS LIFE!!! THEY YET LABOR FOR HIS SOUL!!! I appreciate this testimony. Thank You, Lord Jesus! Thank God!!!

I am so lucky.I have met Larry Graham and I am sure he and his awesome wife would remember me.I was so fan-crazed that Larry's permanent smile went a bit unsure, but of course he was still smiling! I had also "drunk too much coffee" and streetwise intuitive beautiful Larry Graham and his wife were well aware. This was by far the best meeting of a musical talent of my life.Larry's wife gave me positive energy at the same time as gently ridiculing me.I love you both, thanks for letting me spend five minutes with you at the signing tent at Byron bay bluesfest

I met him once when we were looking for the same bass at Guitar Center Hollywood, back in 1979. He and his wife were so cool it was unbelievable. He actually handed me the bass that he was trying out, and let me play for HIM! I ran across him numerous times after that at the airport in L.A. It almost became routine for me to assist him and chat. One time he was going to take my name and address when the airlines told him he had too man bags to travel with and they wanted him to check his Bass, flying down to Jamaica. He looked at me and said "no way am I doing that. If they say no at the gate I'll give it to you and pick it up next time I come through. True story. Fortunately for him they didn't take it away at the gate. But it would have been in good hands if they had. It was a huge compliment that he trusted me like that.

Sly Stone did what I did in my band: "MacNasty!" - He dictated parts, which was the foundation of the way he wanted the song to take its course! - Freddie was confronted with drugs in the same manner as I was! - But I didn't "BITE!" - Cocaine wasn't the road I wanted to take! - Freddie became a preacher in Vallejo, Calif! - Larry Graham, actually became one of Jehovah's Witnesses! - So did George Benson, Marques Houston and myself!

Jesus not only a talented Musician IF I could go to this church I surley would..I have been a heavy metal musician in the 80s and I got paid fairly well we worked 7 days a week back in the day and I must have put every dollar up my nose, But to have a REAL Rockstar say this its not true..nobody quite gets it..Freddy If you ever see this I know its alot to ask but maybe the Lord could inspire you to minister a Phone call to an Old heavy white rocker {I still have my hair} hahaha by the way I am also a HUGE fan.
