The San Francisco Bay Area was the place to be in the '60's & '70s. So many great bands are from and or came to make the Bay their home and Sly has always been one of the greatest and most influential. This is classic '70's Bay Area Television. I do miss those days.
Sly Stone/Sylvester Stewart ... A living pioneer/entertainer/musical/poet/genius/humanist Legend/Icon ... Rated right up there with MICHAEL JACKSON ... everyone else is just in the field. Not withstanding his up and downs and MO ... USA needs to treat and recognize its genuine heroes a lot lot better.
Sounds like Sly was puttin' down one stone cold groove, man!!! You're one lucky guy to have lived near a living legend!!! It's really sad to hear he's fallen on hard times in recent years. Sly Stone should do better now that he'll be getting his back settlement his former record company owes him. Bravo, Sly Stone!!!
i Simply love sly's messages and the absolute right funk that i feel deep inside my blood. Thank you sly my biggest teacher ever. Damn you keep the roots and vibe clean - you are great and always been. !!!!! forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE ERANN DAVID DRORI
i knew eddie murphy, huey Lewis, members of metalica lived near us in the early 90's in our neighborhood hills of Novato, ca.that is so cool, the long list of great musicians lived here, over the years.
Love you Sly. Isn't interesting how us fans know so much about you but are far away, most of us never meeting you. Personally, the only reason I know about Sly is through listening to his music since 1968 and RUclips. And by the way, why do media types ALWAYS want to segregate race? I thought they were always about equality and justice? Right.
Sly has a really good soul. You can tell. He fell of the edge......and its a tragedy.
I adore sly and have for years,,since he started singing..he makes me feel happy and is so funny...love you sly

One of my first concerts ever. (The Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA) And in his usual style, he was 90 minutes late.
