I have two points against the "You can refer to Yamato with she/her pronouns because they only want to be he/him to replicate Oden." Like at the end of the day he's a fictional character, refer to him as you like, but I have disagreements with the specific points brought up. First is that even characters who deny that Yamato is Oden will still use he/him pronouns for him. Kaido makes a point that Yamato is not Oden, but still Kaido and his crew call Yamato the SON of Kaido, and use he/him pronouns. On the flip side of this Luffy doesn't ever deny Yamato's dream of being Oden, but also doesn't call Yamato "Oden." He calls him "Yamato," or "Yamabro," and uses he/him. I'm not really basing it on whether or not he's trans, but just in how every character, Straw Hats and Beast Pirates alike, use masculine terms to refer to him. Second, is how dismissive people seem to be of Yamato wanting to be Oden. "He only wants to be a man because he wants to be Oden, and Yamato isn't Oden, so I will use she/her." Yamato saying he wanted to be Oden is presented as dream in chapter 985. Same way Luffy wants to be King of the Pirates. And since Yamato is unofficially-officially a Straw Hat (similar to Vivi's current standing as a Straw Hat) it's fair to say he has a fair shot at achieving this dream. If Luffy can be Joyboy, why can't Yamato be Oden? It was like a part of the fanbase has decided Bellamy in Jaya had a point. "Some dreams can't be realised, Yamato is not Oden, so treat her as such and use she/her."
I also feel this dream of wanting to become Oden is why Yamato stayed in Wano. If Oden was still alive, or somehow revived after the battle, he would recognise that Wano needs a protector and would stay in the country. He's becoming Oden, and showing that becoming another character in One Piece is not following the same path, but living up to their ideals. Which will be interesting to build upon as Luffy becomes Joyboy.

How can people still be one of the masses when they have watched One Piece? Don't you wanna be like Luffy? Don't you want to be free like him? Does Luffy and the other honourable characters care to physco-analyze yamato to figure out his pronouns because they are so opinionated on what people should be? NO! Yamato acts like a man, a very great one at that, and he says he is a man! So he is a man! Don't you realise you are being a person Luffy would hate by holding onto these tought? YOU ONLY HAVE ONE LIFE! LIVE IT WELL! Don't be stupid. I wanted Yamato to join the crew but in hindsight I think that’s just because how fun she was as a character. From a narrative point of view her being with the straw hats now wouldn’t really work lol
I think yamatos placing in the popularity vote is a fallacy. BECAUSE shes so new, people had her in mind when making the vote. It would explain why Marco is top 20. If you took the same vote during marineford, whitebeard would be top 10 for sure
