powerscalers- I sleep /// geography scalers- real shit! Never put the size ratio of Thriller Bark and Fullolead into context. I already thought 'Honesty Impact' was the typical amount of impressive for a late game Shonen Jump manga feat, but this makes it seem absolutely insane! And you made a whole Koby expose about how cool he is without even needing to default to mentioning Luffy's summation of his character at the end of Water7 as "Koby is a man who makes things happen. I know that much." High praise coming from the guy who changes things every place he goes, inadvertently.
I’ve always taken Koby, Sabo, and Ace as different versions of what if Luffy instead of being a Pirate Captain he were instead a Marine, Revolutionary, or Pirate follower and not captain.
THANK YOU! It’s really absurd when you step and look at Koby, it’s terrifying actually Unless Oda comes out and gives some special lineage mumbo jumbo for Koby, he’s arguably the most naturally gifted out there Cos the speed of growth is insane
I’m so glad you made this video. I absolutely love Koby. He’s always been such an important character to me because he represents how I felt about Luffy from the very beginning. Some people needed until Arlong Park to fall in love with OP, but I’ve been enamored since Luffy first told Koby he was a coward. Honesty isn’t traditionally cool, but it is incredibly important to me as an individual. I think knowing the truth is too important to be concerned with how much it may hurt, and I have a lot of respect for people who are capable of being truthful without malice. It is not always an easy thing to do. The dynamic between Luffy’s willingness to shatter the glass prison that Koby had built for himself with the blunt honesty of the truth, and Koby’s ability to transmute that painful truth into meaningful growth is such an important part of the story for me. He came from absolutely nothing. No talent or position to speak of, and just because someone he admires told him that they believe in him. That he can do it too. He has transformed himself into one of the most capable and humble individuals in the entire Marine force. Koby might not be the coolest character in the story, but I think he is one of the most important for how he telegraphs to the reader that while not everybody can be Luffy, we can all be inspired by Luffy to chase our dreams and become the most free and fulfilled version of ourselves. We haven’t even begun to see how powerful his honesty truly is.
You turned me into a supporter. Also, you write really well. I write a lot of comments like this but they're rarely so coherent and well made. I feel I can tell just how much koby's arc resonated for you and you've shared that with me really effectively.
Now THIS is the content im here for. Kobe deserves all the flowers Kobe’s true strength is undoubtedly his courage and bravery. The dude has stood his ground while practically pissing himself, but he stays true to his beliefs no matter how much he wants to curl up into a ball and cry, and that is something everyone can relate to feeling and respect the hell out of him for overcoming it
It could happen as the Crab bumps heads with the Dog (Akainu) and the Monkey (Kizaru) but Koby already had some sort of interaction with the Dog in Marineford. Oda is from North Hokkaido so this version of the Momotaro story holds more truth and is integrated in its own way in the one piece story

Yusss I needed some Koby hype after that chapter!! The anecdote about the wrestler gave me chills, what an excellent story on its own and a fantastic way to tie many of the aspects of Koby's arc into a poignant lesson. And I really appreciate the points about how unbelievably QUICKLY Koby's improved, obvs moments like that ("wait, that was only a month/week/year/etc in the story???") happen all the time bc this almost-3-in-world-years have taken +26 years to come out irl, but I never appreciated how startlingly fast Koby has blossomed since Ch. 1. I'd never played before so my dad took me to a pitching clinic night right before my first season started, and unbeknownst to any of us students, the teachers were keeping an eye on everyone so they could have a little awards ceremony afterwards. I arrived that night as the worst pitcher of the whole class, and when I left I was certainly still the worst pitcher out of the group. But it turned out that the teachers had unanimously voted me as "most improved" and gave me a little commemorative t-shirt. I've heard a lot of people who didn't like koby in the beginning. I was never part of that camp. I didn't think he was gonna be this big of a character back when I started reading but I'm so glad he did. I see him becoming the fleet admiral of the marines after the world government is taken down.

Justt so they wouldn't give him his credit, they started saying the AP vs DC bullshit just so they can downplay it. I was one of the very few who defended Koby in that moment. For multiple days i was having debates in comment sections as to why that feat is a massive feat
Bro Koby has been my favorite tertiary character in the series since the jump. Once he got under Garps wing, I knew he was gonna be great. His arc and development make me so happy, and I can't wait to see what the boy does by the end.

While Koby vs Akainu does sound good as a final fight for Koby, I must say that I secretly hope that Koby’s final fight will be him and Luffy vs Blackbeard. And I have multiple reasons for that: 1. It would furthermore strengthen the fact that Luffy embodies Roger’s legacy as a pirate and Koby embodies Garp’s legacy as a marine, while BB embodies Rocks legacy as a threat to the entire world, therefore making this fight analogical to the God Valley incident. 2. Koby has had a lot more interactions with BB, and now that they’ve captured or probably even killed Garp, I feel like there are increasingly more reasons why Blackbeard should also be a concern for Koby and not just Luffy. 3. I’d be kind of disappointed if Luffy can just defeat BB in a 1v1 fight, because that would make it seem like BB was yet just another yonko on Luffy’s path that he had to overcome in order to become king of the pirates. But if it requires both Luffy and Koby’s collaborated efforts to take down BB, then that would make him more of a fitting final villain for the story. Both Luffy’s and Koby’s story would have come full circle since their introduction, coming to a final meeting point where they can at last fight alongside each other to take down a common enemy of theirs.
Amazing video. I agree with everything you said wholeheartedly. it's all a matter of going back and rereading previous chapters to know where the story could possibly end up
Great video dude, I always appreciate some Koby love. I never really understood why so many people underestimate someone that has been chosen by Garp and claimed to be the future of the marines. Just the fact that the only marine to not want to answer to the celestial dragons says something like that I think is proof enough that Koby is an important character. He will definetly change the justice system of the WG. Really want to see Oda give him more screen time.
We love more Hidden uploads, that 100K is fully possible. The NBA references went hard and that quote of your friends is legendary. I remember reading that Battleship Bags chapter and swelling up with immense hype and motivation. The size comparison from Thriller Bark to Pirate Island is wild BTW! Can't wait for the next one.
Hell yes brotha! "people may not remember how you start but they'll always remember how you finish" don't know where your friend got it but that is a fantastic quote. And as a former wrestler turned mma one piece fanatic you just got yourself a sub. Great video my dude and mad respect for getting on the mats win or loose
I think a lot of us considered BB or Akainu to both be contenders for the 'final baddie' title. It would be underwhelming for the "1st fight" if Luffy had to fight both so it makes sense to delegate that fight to another, and yes, Koby makes the most sense. Perhaps something like Koby fights Akainu so Luffy can save his energy to fight BB or Imu/Gorosei.
Damn, had caught a lot of that (*loved* your Kobe cuts btw! Pink Mamba 😄) but never twigged at the sheer size of Pirate Island as shown by Thriller Bark's landing despite reading and re-reading Moria's visit. Well played!
Dude, you're seriously leveling up in content. I don't know much about the art of writing and storytelling at a deep level, but the last chapter of this video really stuck a chord with me. Really amazing job.
Bro, koby is the only human in one piece who can have a glow up so good that he grows 3 feet in 3 months. AND get BETTER observation haki than GOD USOPP HIMSELF🗿🗿🗿
Thank you for sharing that wrestling anecdote. I love hearing about the real world impact these stories have on people. Even though the stories may be fictional, there can always be real world takeaways.
Koby has always been one of my favorite characters and seeing him with his new attack honesty impact made me so happy. I can't wait to see it animated it's going to be so awesome. And the attack name is just perfect for Kobe and what he plans to do for the military
I really liked that the live action made Koby look like Luff's duoteragonist instead of just a returning side character. I think it was a giant missed opporatunity in the actual One piece story, and I think Oda realized that as well.
Excellent video. Love the conclusion. Transformation of the reader/listener/consumer is the whole point of stories! Doesn't matter if it's fiction if it's getting at the human condition
it's took FAR TOO LONG for coby to get the respect he deserves. the mans potential is insane, with how little time he had to train compared to everyone else. and he is still 1 year younger than luffy with no devil fruit!
Yes finally someone who understands how amazing and full of potential Koby is! He may not have that much screen time, but I can't help but cheer him on everytime he appears
100% agree I had a similar theory about coby on the one piece sub reddit not long ago which for me was an independent thought but there’s no way people haven’t been expecting him to be the future fleet admiral or even remaker of the marines for a long time
First time watcher and I had to comment just because of that intro, that was spectacular. Idk whoever made that but I sincerely hope you paid them well, that was sick as hell dude.
In any other shonen, Koby would be the protagonist. I'm VERY curious to see how he'll react to Vegapunk's broadcast. He's known from the beginning that all is not as it seems, and getting confirmation that it's so much worse than anyone could've imagined will definitely provoke some very interesting reactions from basically every marine. Will he stay and try to reform them? Will there be a mass exodus of good marines forming a splinter group to fight the corrupt World Government? Would he join such a group if it formed? I dunno, but I'm hyped to see where the pink mamba goes from here
know I'm late but so happy to hear someone putting respect to Koby , the man is going places and that match up you suggest would be great to see maybe even Koby and Sobo teaming up for that fight, with one leg having a 3V1 with Luffy in there before he needs to bounce to fight a bigger fish
Love the points you made about garp gassing up Koby, he really has to be the future and liberate the marines like luffy will liberate the rest of the world. Another amazing video Hidden! 🐐
i would say that 90% of the time, the marines are the good guys and pirates are the bad guys, cause usually when we see pirate crews, they are pillaging and destroying(even white beard has done this and allows his crews to do this), and we usually see the marines having to clean up the mess. the marines genuinely want to protect the innocent, even G-5, being as wild as they are, still want to fight evil and protect the innocent.
Aside from the main characters(Straw Hats because screen-time), Coby is literally my favorite character in series bar none. So a video like this puts a huge smile on my face.
I can relate with that ending and your example with wrestling, and in my opinion it isn't really corny to compare it to One piece. Love your content man

Both Luffy’s and Koby’s story would have come full circle since their introduction, coming to a final meeting point where they can at last fight alongside each other to take down a common enemy of theirs.
Amazing video. I agree with everything you said wholeheartedly. it's all a matter of going back and rereading previous chapters to know where the story could possibly end up
I kinda want to see a series about koby
truly one of the most marines of all time
Great video dude, I always appreciate some Koby love.
Now I can't stop thinking about Shaq with Helmeppo's hair. Thanks.
My top 5 all time characters. I've loved Koby since the start I'm so happy seeing glowing up
I love your theories man, makes more engaged to how the one piece is working as a story
Damn, had caught a lot of that (*loved* your Kobe cuts btw! Pink Mamba 😄) but never twigged at the sheer size of Pirate Island as shown by Thriller Bark's landing despite reading and re-reading Moria's visit. Well played!
So funny that you posted this right as I was watching all the Luffy x Koby scenes. Great video!
Sabo and Koby have always been my favorite one piece characters behind Brook I’m glad my boy is finally getting the recognition he deserves
Dude, you're seriously leveling up in content. I don't know much about the art of writing and storytelling at a deep level, but the last chapter of this video really stuck a chord with me. Really amazing job.
The biggest smile pops up when I watch ur videos
I am SUPER interested in Size scaling/comparison in one piece, be it ships, creatures, islands. Comparing them myself puts me in awe!
extremely happy to see some Koby love, also video was amazing and been enjoying the more frequent uploads a lot
Thank you for making content
You genuinely never miss
Please keep going
Bro, koby is the only human in one piece who can have a glow up so good that he grows 3 feet in 3 months. AND get BETTER observation haki than GOD USOPP HIMSELF🗿🗿🗿
I loved Koby but never saw him this deeply until now, thanks man
Thank you for sharing that wrestling anecdote. I love hearing about the real world impact these stories have on people. Even though the stories may be fictional, there can always be real world takeaways.
Never watched this channel before but can't lie that intro is smooooth af
Love this channel !
LMFAO. YOOOOO, when you showed smoker and that dude hittin the bong i fucking died laughing.
I have two questions: Who made Koby? and Can he get much higher?
So high~
But is he a different animal, but the same beast?
Yes finally someone who understands how amazing and full of potential Koby is! He may not have that much screen time, but I can't help but cheer him on everytime he appears
Thank you Hidden 🙏🏼
Bro your character analysis is amazing. Id love more!
100% agree I had a similar theory about coby on the one piece sub reddit not long ago which for me was an independent thought but there’s no way people haven’t been expecting him to be the future fleet admiral or even remaker of the marines for a long time
That thumbnail goes super hard brotha
Also, i like the blue and black color scheme, it's a nice contrast with Luffy's yellow and red aestethic
You killed it with this one hidden! Keep it up man!
First time watcher and I had to comment just because of that intro, that was spectacular. Idk whoever made that but I sincerely hope you paid them well, that was sick as hell dude.
that custom grow 420 clip at 0:25 took me out 😭big TB
Dam that reminded me of my stoner days watching cg420 and getting baked af
I will always support any youtuber who proudly recognizes the future of the Marines. Koby is THE man
In any other shonen, Koby would be the protagonist. I dunno, but I'm hyped to see where the pink mamba goes from here
know I'm late
but so happy to hear someone putting respect to Koby , the man is going places and that match up you suggest would be great to see
maybe even Koby and Sobo teaming up for that fight, with one leg having a 3V1 with Luffy in there before he needs to bounce to fight a bigger fish
I've been watching RUclips since 2006 and this is one of the best videos I've ever watched. Please keep up the fantastic work you will succeed
oh boy, another jolly time, thanks
Love the points you made about garp gassing up Koby, he really has to be the future and liberate the marines like luffy will liberate the rest of the world. Another amazing video Hidden! 🐐
You have one of the coolest intros iv ever seen. Great videos. Keep it up.
Love from switzerland
i would say that 90% of the time, the marines are the good guys and pirates are the bad guys, cause usually when we see pirate crews, they are pillaging and destroying(even white beard has done this and allows his crews to do this), and we usually see the marines having to clean up the mess. the marines genuinely want to protect the innocent, even G-5, being as wild as they are, still want to fight evil and protect the innocent.
Aside from the main characters(Straw Hats because screen-time), Coby is literally my favorite character in series bar none.
So a video like this puts a huge smile on my face.
Koby was always one of my favorite characters at the start of the series when I first watched and read it. And he still is.👍👍👍
your videos are really coooool, keep em coming
Awesome vid, Koby is awesome and Honesty Impact was so cool
"The Pink Mamba" is an INSANELY cold nickname 🥶🥶🥶
I can relate with that ending and your example with wrestling, and in my opinion it isn't really corny to compare it to One piece. Love your content man
Great video man, I agree with Koby being undoubtedly skilled
This is the best One Piece theory I've every heard!
Kobby is up there with my mates Bon chan, Buggy, Gaïmon, Usopp, Tashigi...Characters that make One Piece graduate from standard best-seller to straight up genius work
the content is consistently god tier thank you hidden🙌🏼
