Sometimes I tend to believe that this series is how Oda would like our world to be, One Peace or rather wishes for it to be in the future. I think D stands for Dawn. Bringing about the Dawn of a new age

    • @jwpppr
      @jwpppr Месяц назад

@@another7674 I've also been confident for a while that both of these are implicit. Dawn would be thematically very appropriate for the of the sun god and it fits with the obvious conclusion of the story that a member of the D clan, the "natural enemy" of the "gods" who keep the world in subjugation, will finally overthrow them and bring about the dawn of a new era. Dawn is also a homophone of Don!! which means to do something with a smile on one's face, and also ties the story back to very beginning, Romance Dawn.
As for the smile theory, it also works perfectly for the story insofar as it's a trait common to every D clan member, ties in with the name Joy Boy, and the name Laugh Tale. There's a pretty consistent association between members of the D clan and people being able to smile/ laugh in the face of death or adversity...

  • @GumGumNika

Should be noted that as you pointed out, the patern of Luffy defeating the enemy when the original hero of the location couldn't do it is indeed intentional. I think the kingdom may have even been named "Won Peace" implying that the king of this kingdom had to fight in order to create the kingdom in the first place, and the current generation has to fight so hard in order to rediscover it. I also think that if the straw hat really is a symbol of the kingdom, or its crown, then the red band HAS to symbolize the Red Line, implying that the actual palace there was the palace of Won Peace, but it was likely taken by the now "World Government" when they eventually won the war against the ancient kingdom. Another possibility is that the ancient kingdom was so massive, it actually stood higher than the Red Line, symbolized by the "sun" part of the hat symbol is above the "Red Line" part of it.

I think the skypiea ark was more than just them going to the floating island but explaining the history long ago. The Skypieans are the celestial dragons, people who claim the land as their own and impose rules upon it and the Shandorians are the people of the D clan, the original owners of the land and are trying to take it back. So the will of d was shown here to start as what will eventually happen. If you look at Enel, he is similar to Im, someone who rules the land and trying to claim its ultimate power for themselves to prevent those from taking control back and to move to a higher status. Those of the D clan will fight the Celestial dragons to claim it back and eventually claim it back showing that people can live in peace and become one, becoming one whole piece

I loved this video. Even more so because it can tie into some other theories that I've heard. For instance, if the Ancient Kingdom was the Kingdom of One Peace, perhaps it ruled over a sea that we've never seen before; the All Blue. A kingdom of freedom and peace ruling over a sea with no borders - no red line, no calm belt - makes sense to me(this is following the theory that the Red Line was not always a part of the world). Furthermore, this would mean that finding the One Piece is not only about finding the Ancient Kingdom, but also about reuniting the seas by destroying the Red Line and using Poseidon to control the Calm Belt(following the theory that the One Piece is the destruction of the Red Line+Calm Belt and/or the all blue). Luffy's dream of being the freest could be achieved on the freest of seas. This also allows Sanji's dream of finding the All Blue to be realized.
Anyway, I think that this video presented interesting information, and I enjoyed it a ton.

I agree that the Red Line and Calm Belt aren't naturally occurring. 1. The Red Line and the Calm Belts was always meant to look unnatural. It is quite obvious that it was meant as a form of protection especially when we know that Wano is in the New World.
      2. Spoiler theory: One Piece is not a WMD that would destroy the Red Line and unite everyone. If that is the case, then you are not paying attention to the recurring themes. The Ancient Kingdom is long gone, there is nothing to gain from reviving an ancient civilization or in vilifying a government that is competent in taking care of its people. One Piece is just saké (in Japanese, beer is also a type of saké). Maybe a type of special sake that restores people's memory of the past which in turn heals their pain.
      3. I wager, in typically Shonen fashion, Luffy will destroy the Red Line by simply punching it hard. No further explanation needed.
      4. At the end of the story, everyone around the world will get together to enjoy the Bink's saké in a party throwed Luffy called the One Feast.

In the same way that a dictator in the real world stays in power - he has under him several trusted people who, like him, understand that they cannot rule alone. Representing individual branches of state infrastructure, they cut off everyone from it without proper contacts and influences that they cannot have without the consent of the representatives (Gorosei). Over time, their eldest sons or the most trusted people from their immediate environment get in their place, and no one else is allowed to this power. If someone unauthorized tries to get there, they get rid of him or weaken him so much that he is no longer able to fight for this position without their help.

I think the will of D refers to the idea that you can't die so long as you're not forgotten. I think the D are descendants of the ancient kingdom aka the perfect society, Joyboy was a figure of hope, joy and freedom to these people. Their way of life was to live freely, and love with no regrets. I think the D smile in death to pay homage to NIKA, by remembering him in death, so as to keep him alive, allowing someone to carry on his will in the future. The D may just be the symbol of their smile, aka a homage to NIKA, to live free and have no regrets/the people of D's way of keeping joyboy/nika's will alive.

Makes perfect sense if you think about it.
Assuming Laugh Tale is the Ancient Kingdom, then the Ancient Kingdom, the final island, being the One Piece just works, as this whole time Luffy's goal has been to get to the final island so that he can get to the One Piece on it, but what if there was never that extra step? What if the hardest and longest part of the journey was their full goal this whole time. Maybe this is even what Roger laughed at, the realisation that he'd already found the great treasure he was looking for simply by setting foot on the island.
It's easy to imagine early in the creative process that Oda would conceive the final island as being the final treasure, even without knowing any other details. And it's easy for the audience to imagine too. Suddenly the introduction of Raftel as the final island being the first piece of info we get on the Grand Line is completely recontextualised.
100% of people who have gotten to the final island have found the One Piece, and 100% of their captains have become the Pirate King. The final island is always used in relation to the One Piece. This doesn't even necessarily need to be foreshadowing, but rather that they're already always spoken about in the same breath, why not tidy it up a bit as any good story does and make them serve the same role. And EVERY time there is a rumour, or legend, etc. shared by people from mouth to mouth it ALWAYS contains partial truth, but not the whole truth. And in this case, it's that the One Piece is a treasure and is found on the final island Raftel, but isn't the One Piece itself.
    Great stuff.

At this point it's pretty obvious that "D" is the shape of the mouth when laughing. Luffy surely laughs a lot when he's in Gear 5 because that's the original trait of Son God Nika and most probably Joy Boy. Oda also put a ridiculous amount of detail related to laughter and joy in this whole series. Each character has a different style of laughter, Laugh Tale is supposed to be the final island in which resides the One Piece, Joy Boy is the name of the previous Sun God Nika fruit owner, and most of the D clan members surely laugh a lot. I have a feeling that Shanks is also a member of the D clan which is why Roger passed the Straw Hat to him.... Roger found the One Piece but didn't have the Sun God Nika fruit to "activate" it, so he passed the will to Shanks to find the fruit since Shanks is also a D obviously... Shanks search for the fruit and found it but is "accidentally" eaten by Luffy... Since Shanks knew that the fruit had finally chosen it's owner after 800 years, Shanks was willing to sacrifice his own hand to save Luffy to show how important Luffy is. He even gave Luffy the straw hat because he knew that Luffy will become the one who will find the One Piece and finally fulfill the Joy Boy promise / will of D.

Imo everybody can eat the fruit, but it will be just a gomu-gomu (or something else), with 0 chances of awakening, unless the person goes on a "meaningful freedom rampage". It was never stated that no1 used the fruit for the last 800 years. It was stated that Marine cant get it + JoyBoy was not there for 800 years. This means, no user has awakened it during that time. There is a solid theory, that this tfruit gives a power based on user imagination, so its highly possible that it represented various mediocre powers during that time, so it was under the marine radar. @hkhan3535 2 года назад

In the first episode, shanks made fun of the devil fruit user can't swim, which is probably why he didn't ate it earlier or took some time before eating it. You did make a valid argument about the fruit's will and I agree since I just remembered that the Gorosei said that the fruit haven't awakened for centuries, so there's a possibility that someone had eaten it before. However since shanks crew knew that it's called Gum Gum Fruit even before Luffy ate it, I disagree that the fruit's power (before awakening) is based on its user's imagination. The fruit will always give its user that stretching ability which is why the name is Gum Gum fruit. Talking about the straw hat, I also believe that the straw hat that Luffy wear is just a symbol or remembrance to find the actual straw hat which is in Im's possession. I believe that it is actually "Saturn" because if you look at the one piece logo, Luffy's head looks like planet Saturn. Since Saturn is the God of Wealth, time & Liberation, it does make sense (drums of liberation). So what will happen in the end is Luffy will become big using his nika2 power, then he will wear "Saturn" to control all 3 ancient weapons. It's just a theory so there's no point in arguing whether it's correct or not lol.

@@hkhan3535 So you agree that it was pointless to travel with the fruit, since Roger told Shanks to get it + Shanks might have been "worthy". I dont get the argument with "no swimming". Its like Shanks thought "oh, there is that huge prophecy involved with this super-strong fruit, its needed to save the world from WG, but i wont ever eat it because i wont be able to swim". Come on, every second pirate in series cant swim. The cost of fruit is almost non-existant. Its not like "you get super power but die in 10 years" cost. Even if Shanks was super strong already and didnt need another power up, he knew the fruit was essential. And yeah, i know its more possible that fruit always gives gomu-gomu. But that explaination is shit to me, because if its true, it doesnt make any sense. WG would chase down EVERY gomu-gomu user instantly and imprison them while they aint super-strong yet. Why take any risks, when its not even a hard task?? This means they would send everybody nessesary for the task to complete. Yeah, imagine Luffy fighting Kizaru or Akainu in first 10 episodes of OP. Because if Nika is always gomu-gomu, and its ULTRA important thing to stop for Gorosei, it would be the only thing making sense.

It should be common knowledge, common enough that upon watching the “Pirate King” being executed a random man in the crowd asked if it’s true that this common knowledge exists and Roger confirmed I found it it’s true go obtain it EVERY SINGLE AVERAGE PERSON screamed and went out to seas starting the great age of piracy to chase the one piece. Interesting, but there's a lot missing from this theory. Most importantly how you chose to characterize the ancient kingdom and Joyboy, and the ancient kingdom's destruction.
What reason do we actually have to believe that the ancient kingdom was some sort of benevolent utopia? All we know was that it was a vast, immeasurably powerful kingdom. That doesn't sound like some progressive land of equality and freedom, it sounds like another version of the World Government. If Joyboy was it's king and liberated slaves of various other countries and united them under his banner, where did the pirates who destroyed the kingdom come from? In the modern age piracy is so rampant precisely because the World Government is so oppressive, that people seek liberation from it. And your parallels of the good kingdoms usurped by evil pirates doesn't seem to hold true either, as Dressrosa and Wano themselves have a history of oppression that predates their conquest by pirates. Even Shandora, purported as a close ally of the ancient kingdom, literally has it's capitol being an absurdly ostentatious city of gold, wherein they call their rulers gods.
Wouldn't it make more sense if Joyboy was liberating people from under the control of the ancient kingdom? That he was a pirate, an outlaw like Luffy, instead of being some godly king? And that his failure to uphold his promises wasn't due to simply losing to a bunch of pirates, but rather because the pirate alliance he formed to liberate the world would ultimately become corrupt and simply replace the old tyrants as new tyrants? After all, Xebec and Blackbeard, inheritors of the will of D, did/do want to conquer the world, not just free it. If these people also represent the D clan, that can only mean that the D clan wasn't just some purely righteous group of liberators.
This also aligns with the parallels of the Ancient Kingdom and Rome. Because Rome certainly wasn't some paradise of freedom, it was a conquering nation that subjugated everything in it's path to power.

    • @ShatteredGlass916
      @ShatteredGlass916 2 года назад

I personally believe the part where Joyboy liberates the existing corrupt oppressive kingdom (much like Donquixote kingdom pre WG). Maybe after his 'liberation', they leads these former slaves and further liberates other places. And as time went on, slowly but surely he becomes a 'thorn' on the side of the rest of other kingdoms. This sparks the 'alliance of 20 kings' whom later on become the Tenryuubito.
Maybe because Nika is a powerful yet gullible king, he and his kingdom falls into many hoaxes and lies spread by the 20 kingdoms to spark hatred between the rest of the world and Nika/ Joyboy's kingdom. Maybe they spread rumors on how Nika is building Ancient Weapon made for destructions, while in reality he just made it purely for self-defence. After all, if you're the only one that's "different", it's a lot easier to antagonize you (especially when your kingdom filled with unique races, probably former slaves, that's mostly different than humans in general).
After Joyboy's defeats, the 20 kingdoms banded together to make sure that something like Nika/ Joyboy never happens again (especially after Gorosei said that WG have been hunting Nika's df for centuries)
Tho, i agree with the fallout of Joyboy's alliance

So I listened to this earlier, and got a thought in my head.
I don’t know what this adds,if anything, but I just listened to the intro for We Are and the 4kids intro
We are: ‘I left everything I own there’
We are (dub): ‘I gathered everything I own together in one place. Now you just have to find it’
4kids: ‘I left everything I own in one piece’
Seemed interesting that that’s the first thing we hear. But I don’t know if intros count

My god - you've solved it. You've solved one piece. I've seen TONS AND TONS of megatheories and while they were all insanely good, they all included so many stretches that made almost 0 sense, that only served the purpose of connecting two things to try create a sort of "evidence". Not this one. THIS VIDEO, makes perfect sense, you can feel it. Every connection makes sense, and nothing is illogical or "a bit of a stretch". I'll eat my words if this video turns out to be wrong, but as of right now, even four months after the release of this video, it makes 100% perfect sense.

I wish I was in the spot financially to be able to be a part of that patreon community because like this is such a well-founded theory and I agreed with the sentiment that like Enie's lobby is Jaya's missing eye or whatever theory is a bit of a stretch just because the circle goes in the square hole, like yeah they were the most popular theories and from everything that we had within the series as a whole made enough sense by cobbling things together but you're literally taking like the knowledge that Oda has of his plans of the series as a whole in putting that into perspective too and I'm self-admittedly jealous that I didn't recognize it sooner having those same grievances with the more accepted fan theories but to make a long ranch short this is a fantastic theory I enjoy it and I hope you keep it up man I enjoy the enthusiasm and dedication that the videos of yours have, I especially enjoy the Akainu video

who is a pirate changes from day to day. only the truly free people who always call themselves pirates can battle it out at the top. and the one that is the most free is the pirate king, who rules nobody. while the least free is the pirate that became the king of the world with all of it as his burden. Jolas painting feeds into this symbolism if you see Momo as the king of the world in this image, since he has it all above him, it is his burden. He claims it doesn't hurt, just like Imu claims he's on top, while really being the least free.
love the paralel of throwing books into the lake and protecting laught tale under the sea.
