wait what the larger displacement has a throaty sound but the 2.0t wasn't a horrible fart can sound by any means. Currently have a lightly modified HHR SS (lnf) with a 2.5" straight pipe off the primary cat. Sounds OK but mainly it frees up the flow

It’s just a muffler delete. You can weld new piping to the stock exhaust pipe, or cut behind the muffler to keep the flange bolts and have your car good to go for following years inspection.
King Marc It had a resonator delete before the video now it has muffler delete , told the shop we wanted to take the muffler off and keep the stock tips, they had to custom make y pipe it came out to $100
