- Hello all! Once again, today I drive my personal build. The 2002 Acura RSX converted to AWD with OEM honda crv parts + a Landrover Freelander Driveshaft. This K24 K20 combo makes over 800HP to the wheels and I must say...It is scary! We drive to go fuel it up as its running low. It sat most of the winter. BUT I cant help it. I had to start her up and go for a drive. + We also installed a billet shifter & a new shift knob.

Give yourself 5-10 Years of hard work. Just go crazy with it. Trust me, it works. Do something that you always enjoy doing and turn it into a business / income stream. It can take many years or just months. Who cares! The thing is, its fun when you do what you love so again follow you passion sir!

1:25 ahh the good ol days of not having to push in the clutch to start the car 😄
@A almost all JDM cars you don't need to step on the clutch and breaks. Japan only applied that feature to USDM cars as an idiot proof feature
@@imnotsurewhy On the JDM DC5R you have to step on the clutch too to start it
This is done because when you install a much stronger clutch, the pressure that is put on the crankshaft against the thrust bearings is much higher due to the pressure plate in the clutch pushing much harder on it. This causes excess wear on cold starts when you hold the clutch in and crank the engine on.
To avoid this, we put a jumper on the clutch pedal switch. This makes the car think that the clutch is always engaged allowing you to start it without using the clutch. You just have to make sure its not in gear otherwise the car will move 😃
@A I've never been in a manual car that requires you to depress the clutch to start. This is the first time I've heard of this lol

It's not JDM, if it was JDM the steering wheel would be on the right side, they drive on the left in Japan

I don't know the history of this build but, your battery light would indicate that the alternator isn't charging your battery. Therefore at low rpm, the engine is more likely to stall because of the low voltage. Or the Idle air control valve needs cleaned or replaced. I'm an autotech that loves honda. What a great video man! Subscribed!! Bad ass car!
i'm from the netherlands and i am really enjoying this video... i really do like the pov of the car but at the same time im amazed by the feeling of driving in such an american town.... for me it feels like the typical american movies and i just wanted to thank you for this experience!

@@DRIZNISH Ususally a few centralized in the commerical areas. Easier for tankers to refill the reserves and attracts customers to the area for shopping.

Dude I’m in love with your rsx, get yourself a good tune for cold weather! I had to do that on my car, it gets into the negative temps around here and a tune is absolutely necessary in cold temps

Should get out of the habit of dropping into neutral when your pulling to a stop bro. Especially when its cold, coming down through the gears helps warm the trans fluid as well

Sweet build man, your car seems to have a hunting idle, I would rule out the two basic steps for that condition known for stock hondas/Acuras, low coolant or air in the cooling system or a dirty or bad idle control valve, I would start with that

My focus used to behave exaclty like that in cold weather, but would get good once it got warm, a year later found out it was a bad ignition coil. You might want to test yours if you have one. 😃

That’s probably a MAF sensor that’s causing your rpm to go up and down. I had that problem on my 96’ civic and I replaced it. It stopped the rising of the rpm

Amazing speed but the upkeep is gonna be insane on that Acura, constantly being in the shop drives me nuts when I had a turbo civic. It was a nightmare I wouldn’t wish on anybody
yeah fr, my buddy has a RWD swapped boosted 3rd gen Integra and I swear that thing is always broken, but when it runs it's a whole other game
If built properly, the K series + a nicely built transmission with PPG gears = reliability!
Its been 1+ year and 50+ pulls on this car so far. So far, it hasn't broken even once!

It’s really a shame they didn’t make the RSX rear wheel drive. If they had it would probably go down as one of the best tuner cars ever made.

can you tell us about your engine build? Piston, rods, sleeves, and what compression. I'd also be interested to hear what fuel pump your running to keep this thing going. This is one of the coolest hondas i've ever seen. I own an ap1 and im debating on running a turbo k20 or k24 with a k20 head when my f20c dies.
