    Thanks for the video and your helpful tips. I had the same problem in my 2017 crv with the 1.5 liter. 82k miles and I just started getting the flashing lights etc.. the obd2 reader code pointed me to the injectors. I ended up going with the aftermarket *Beck Arnley part number 159-1123* from rock auto. Worked perfectly. Everything went really smoothly. The one bolt that holds that smaller fuel line on is a bit of a pain but with patience it came out and I was able to get the job done. Started at 8 am and was done right around 12:15 so it took me a bit over 4 hours. Could be quicker but took my time as it was the first one I've ever done and I didn't want to forget anything putting it back together. My local Stealership wanted $1,900 in labor and $750 in parts. So I saved about $2,300 doing it myself. Running great with no lights, idling better as well. The amount of carbon build up on one of the old injectors was really bad and I can see why it set a lean code! There was maybe one of the 6 pinholes that wasn't completely covered. Thanks again for your well thought out video sir !!

    Thanks for posting this video, it gave me the motivation to try this repair myself. I was able to source online OEM Honda parts saving $200 what my local Honda parts guy wanted. Additional money spent at Harbor Freight for a few needed tools(wobble socket extensions,cordless right angle driver,led worklight) and a sunny day in the driveway. Went slow and methodical, being careful to not drop or lose any fasteners. Took me all afternoon but I also replaced spark plugs as well, all at 60k miles. Dashboard lightshow went away and engine purrs like a kitten now. Saved a King's ransom in dealer prices with a little diy knowledge such as this video provides.

    Here were the torque specs I used from chatgpt.
    Here are some torque specifications for reassembling the fuel injector components in your 2017 Honda CRV:
    1. **Fuel Injector Hold-Down Bolts**: 16 lb-ft (22 N·m)
    2. **Fuel Rail Bolts**: 16 lb-ft (22 N·m)
    3. **Intake Manifold Bolts**: 16 lb-ft (22 N·m)
    4. **Throttle Body Bolts**: 8.7 lb-ft (12 N·m)
    Make sure to follow the specific sequence and guidelines in your service manual for proper reassembly. If you need more detailed specs or additional torque settings for other components, please let me know!

      @@zacharyhamilton6491 Yes, it works great. I haven’t had any problems since then. Make sure to read your codes BEFORE you do the job. Take it to Autozone and they will let you use their code reader for free. Ask them to print out the codes for you (also free) and then google them and see what they bring up. Where did you get your aftermarket injectors - what was the price compared to OEM from Honda - Honda says to replace the fuel rail at the same time - I don't think you replaced yours?? Based upon how many 2017+ Honda CR-V's are out there and Honda not taking ownership of this issue, as evidenced by many, many, write-ups and stories on the web/CR-V Forums, this will be another popular video in years to come as people do this job on their own vs. forking over $1,500+ to some dealership to do it...again, based upon bad injectors installed by Honda to begin with!

    • @Iamthebestican
      @Iamthebestican  7 месяцев назад +6

      I bought them on Amazon. The brand was not one I had ever heard of, but it had good reviews so I went for it. The price was about the same as OEM, maybe a little less. So far they have worked perfectly (knock on wood). I will definitely do an update video if they give out. You are right; I did not do the fuel rail. It looked really good, so I wasn’t worried about it. I’ll do a video if something goes wrong with the rail.

    My 2017 CRV has the dashboard lights coming up while driving. I used a Fixd OBD scanner to clear the Engine light. I then ran a diagnostic using the Fixd, which indicated no problems. However, after driving a mile, all the dashboard lights reappear. I've tried resetting all the fuses, rebooting the system, and disconnecting the battery, but the lights persist. My OBD scanner did not detect any fuel injector issues. Should I replace the fuel injectors solely to eliminate the dashboard lights? I appreciate it if anyone could give me some advice.

    • @Iamthebestican
      @Iamthebestican  2 месяца назад

      @@gingeredling8687 The thing I find most frustrating about the Honda CRV is that if there is a problem, ALL the caution lights turn on. This is really useless, as you can’t tell what the problem is without a code reader. Only replace the fuel injectors if you are getting a code that suggests they need to be replaced. Otherwise, you would be wasting your time and money. Go to Autozone and use one of their free code readers. It sounds like you have your own code reader, but if it’s not giving you any codes, it could be defective; it is obvious you have a code from what you have described. Good luck!

      @@Seanype Very common issue with this 1.5L direct injection engine. Has happened since the day I bought my 2018 new. Best advice is to change the oil (filter not required) at the 50% oil life remaining (Maintenacnce Minder) then standard oil/filter change when it is down to 5% oil life remaining. I use a vacuum extractor via the dipstick for the mid life oil swap - makes it quick, easy and clean to do.
