For the people wanting to do this yourself there are quite a few steps that are passed over. Disconnect the return fuel line is easy if you know how, lift the white cover up and take it off, squeeze the green tabs and it will Disconnect easy, the bracket that holds the large wire bundle has to be removed, be careful not to drop any bolts, nuts or screws. The throttle body bolts are almost impossible to see, be careful. There is a foam insulation on the back of the manifold, release the top connectors and the 2 bottom ones just snap off. If you have magnetic sockets it will be a lot easier to put it back together. It took me 2.5 hours start to finish and I was being extra careful. Be sure to only, ONLY use Honda injectors. While you are in this far change your plugs to, no need to change coils unless one has failed or is failing then change all 4 with Hitachi or Honda coils ( Hitachi makes Hondas ignition coils ). Thanks for the video it has some excellent information I was just going over the parts that can stump some people.
@@ericmurphy2202 there is not a lot of fuel to spray out, you can put a shop towel or other absorbent towel and catch it. Also be sure to get a piece of double thick card board and place where you are laying across the engine bay because things will jab you.
No joke this video made a panic job an easy job I saved 1000 on doing this myself. And yes this video gets you there but you have to be careful when following this video don't be aggressive it took me 4 hrs it would've been less if I could have stayed on it and not pull away. My aunts 2017 1.5 turbo has 55,000 miles and keeps throwing misfire codes in 3 cylinders and lighting up like a Christmas tree. The shop says that it's the injectors and ordered them. They refuse to acknowledge the gasoline smell coming from the oil dipstick. I would think the sparkplugs are most likely extremely carboned up from the oil dilution. Have any thoughts?
The injector are mostly the common problem i did not see any injector bad on that yet but the way this engine designed the oil are mox with gasoline so over time caused the injector to clog up and cause the misfire , but spark plug not common on this vehicle , u can try to replace the spark plugs first see if it change but in this case i dont think its the spark plug

The torque specs for the fuel joint pipe to the fuel rails are 36N.M (27ft.lb) and no u dont reuse it when ever u replace the injector u must replace the fuel joint pipe that going from the high pressure pump and they come with the little bag of oil besure to apply the oil on the tip of the fuel joint pipe and start it with hand first then use the crow foot to torque it after always replace the new pipe when replacing fuel injectors
Hi Tai. I took my 2017 CRV (52k miles) to the dealership three weeks ago because the check engine light. Codes P219F and P0172 came up. The tech performed service bulletin 19-032 for code P0172 and cleared the check engine light. It happened again yesterday. I am bringing the vehicle back in. I think it's the P219f (No. 4 cylinder air-fuel ratio variation) issue. They might have to replace the fuel injector(s). The P0172 was under Honda extended warranty (60k miles), but I don't know if they will cover P219f or not. I am debating if I should let my local mechanic or the dealership take care of it if it is not under warranty.
So i think the warranty on the crv is cover up to 70k i think not sure but if it not cover under warranty u can bring to ur local mechanic but as long he no what is he doing should be ok but u can order the parts from Honda , make sure just get honda parts only please , so u will needs the injectors set and a joint pipe . So yea that its the code for cylinder variable yes thats def is the injector code i recommend u change the injector and replace the oil as well ok and reset the pcm as well

I got P0172 and P219f. Dealer took care of the P0172 by replacing the HVAC control unit, update software, and oil change. Three weeks later, check engine light is back on. How is car 2 months after the fuel injector replacement?
This 5th generation is so much mess, and the dealership trying to avoid it. Only one thing can have peace of mind, change another brand. Waste too much money for the same shit that they can’t able to fixed it.
Has anyone exrpeienced a failed headgasket? I own a Honda repair shop and I've been doing a ton of L15B7 injectors repairs. However I've seen multiple come back, even months later, with failed headgaskets. It appears to me that the failed injectors must be creating a lean condition which is causing the headgasket to fail. Anyone else experience this? Hopefully enough people band together to file a class action against Honda because IMO it is ridiculous that this many cars are experiencing a high dollar issue. Hopefully that will force their hand to issue a warranty extension because I gotta say my customers have really lost a lot of confidence in the brand.

@@extisrain How many miles? I cannot assume what is happening to your car but it is hard for people to volunteer to toss money out when it is elective and not mandatory. Nobody even wants to turn their idling car off when the AC feels so nice. Idling is horrible to cars. Longer oil changes horrible too. Its also Honda's fault. Their fuel systens are defective and their instructions are all wrong. They also do not volunteer to recall anything. Only by court action did Honda extend warranty on Civic 1.5's. Honda bites the hand that feeds them and treat customers like poopoo. Too greedy and short-sighted. Toyota treats customers better. More honorable and their stock prices are significantly higher as a result.
When my warning lights went on I immediately took it to AutoZone to hook it up to the diagnostic, and it was throwing a code for a computer reprogramming, oil, and random engine misfire. When I ask Honda about the computer needing to be reprogrammed, they keep dodging the question. In your experience what does that computer reprogramming mean, and can it be the root cause of all these issues?

Usually i rinse it down with the hose but if u have a K&N filter becareful not to let water to get in that filter once u start the car up ur car mayb hydrolock u will need new engine general purpose spray it around the engine and water it after if u have pressure washer better but u need to becare not to damage any components

Humm really i mean i having heard from anyone that complainted that the fuel consumption problem yet and are you doing high way driving or just city because it does change by the way you driving habit and either city or highway as well if u driving city the most from stop and go the fuel econ is ok not that great but the high way driving definitely getting better fuel economy so another thing u can try to reset it and drive it for few month see if the mpg change alot

If u reuse it may be will leak in the future will cause the fire when the engine is hot and if u want to depresurize u can let the car idle and remove the fuel pump relay and let the car run till the car stall thats all but i usually dont do that when i remove the pipe the fuel spill a little bit with pressure just remove it slowly and wait
Well depend if it related to the injector prolem , the crv have also spark plugs, spark plugs coils, could be anything else but if u have a P0172 engine running rich with misfire codes most likely its the injectors problem and also change the oil as well would help alots , because oil mixing with the fuel when u have that code on , and you gotta clear the lights after of course

I no these engine carbon do build up alot usually we dont clean them only replace the injectors , but on the Honda Fits they have the tool to clean the carbon build up on valves

Honestly i dont think the gas is the factor in this case yes and no i have a few friend that put regular gas in there are but i dont see that much issue about that injector , also this kind car now a day its Direct injection and turbo so gas and oil mixing alot and i have see car with 1000 miles the oil already dark and when u drain the oil you could smell the gas mixing inside the oil
Hi, after chaning fuel injector i got vehicle stability, abs, brake booster problem, this went away after driving for few miles, i assume this is because this car has ellectrnic booster and it lost vaccum when i removed intake.. after starting the car, it took some time for computer to figure out the build up from intake.. is my understanding right, or none of you got this problem.

Got a misfire in cylinder 2. But before all that the the cylinder you would count it from looking in front of the engine left to right 1,2,3,4 or is it to the right 1,2,3,4??? I did it left to right 1,2,3,4 Is that correct? So after switching the coil from cylinder 2 it started bogging out. So I switch the coil back to the old one , ran the code again got misfire 2 and 4. So went to Honda got 2 coil to replace it and the problem still occurs. When accelerating it bogs out. But it will go up to speed you would just have to drive it normal can’t just foot your foot on the pedal because it will bog out. Any recommendation ?? I appreciate any advice

From where the crank is cylinder 1,2,3,4 but when changing spark plugs or coils doesnt matter which one u do first as long you put the spark plugs in and tight it correctly doesnt matter but the misfires could be a several solution could be anything vacumm leaks, tights valve, spark plugs , coils, blown head gasket from overheating, etcs could be multiple things not just spark plugs and coils
The one that i did its still under warranty but that jobs its not cheap for cash pay roughly 1000 plus and what kind of Honda year and made that u have mayb i can pin point where u should check
@@taingTv I am receiving error code P006A - MAP Mass or volume air flow correlation. Car is not running right and has decreased power. It bogs down sometime when you push the accelerator. Just not sure if it’s a sensor, fuel injectors, or fuel pump.
One time i replaced it and the light came on for the MAF code i end up replaced the Maf sensor the one on the air filter box and it fix u can also try it or swap it out with another sensor
I'm trying to figure out if my 2018 LX model CRV is having CVT transmission problems or injector issues. When I am driving and mostly when I hit the accelerator I get a little stutter almost like a quick loss of power. It doesn't happen every time I hit the accelerator but when I'm already moving at a decent speed and do it too fast it seems to happen any idea if this sounds like faulty fuel injectors?

When replacing the fuel injectors do you also need to replace the throttle body assembly? Or anything that has to do with the throttle body?
Nope just the injector kit and the feed pipe that going from the high pressure pump going to the fuel rail , be sure replace that as well

What u mean recoded? Just replace it and clear the dash light and if the light wont clear thats mean u have a different problem

If u reuse it may be will leak in the future will cause the fire when the engine is hot and if u want to depresurize u can let the car idle and remove the fuel pump relay and let the car run till the car stall thats all but i usually dont do that when i remove the pipe the fuel spill a little bit with pressure just remove it slowly and wait

Well depend if it related to the injector prolem , the crv have also spark plugs, spark plugs coils, could be anything else but if u have a P0172 engine running rich with misfire codes most likely its the injectors problem and also change the oil as well would help alots , because oil mixing with the fuel when u have that code on , and you gotta clear the lights after of course

They come as a kit yes must do all 4 and the fuel joint feed pipe as well
So I have a quick question so I have a 2021 honda CRV and these GDI engine have a lot of carbon build up on the valves the car is 33,000 miles do you recommend cleaning it out or leave it alone cause it kind of slow my performance down a little just wondering if I need it cause ur specialize in Hondas and I’m a Lexus tech any answers tai
I no these engine carbon do build up alot usually we dont clean them only replace the injectors , but on the Honda Fits they have the tool to clean the carbon build up on valves

We used our Honda scantool but u can always use the genetic one to pull codes

Honestly i dont think the gas is the factor in this case yes and no i have a few friend that put regular gas in there are but i dont see that much issue about that injector , also this kind car now a day its Direct injection and turbo so gas and oil mixing alot and i have see car with 1000 miles the oil already dark and when u drain the oil you could smell the gas mixing inside the oil
Hi, after chaning fuel injector i got vehicle stability, abs, brake booster problem, this went away after driving for few miles, i assume this is because this car has ellectrnic booster and it lost vaccum when i removed intake.. after starting the car, it took some time for computer to figure out the build up from intake.. is my understanding right, or none of you got this problem.
All the lights are on because the battery is disconnected just need to drive it after the light should go away

hello tai! i have 2017 honda crv at 150k miles now and yea i was told to replace it with a new fuel pump injector set but it's already 2 months i haven't heard back since they ordered, all warning lights in the dash is on all the time, can my car break down while running in a faulty fuel pump injector?
The injectors are back ordered unfortunaly some peoples are waiting for it for long time now 2023 everything are back order may be u just need to wait when u said ur car broke down wat is that mean like stall when driving or like completely dead

Honestly i dont think its matter but i always put it back anyway im sure its there for a reason
@@taingTv I put it back and just used zip ties to clip it to the manifold. I went to the nearby honda dealership and they couldn't find the clips or insulation piece.

The process its the same yes i think its easier on accord than the crv because it lower than the crv the engine is the same 1.5

So today I basically changed out my spark plug because it’s over due last time I changed it was 63k and now I got 103k.
So I changed all 4. Got a misfire in cylinder 2. But before all that the the cylinder you would count it from looking in front of the engine left to right 1,2,3,4 or is it to the right 1,2,3,4???
I did it left to right 1,2,3,4
Is that correct?
So after switching the coil from cylinder 2 it started bogging out. So I switch the coil back to the old one , ran the code again got misfire 2 and 4.
So went to Honda got 2 coil to replace it and the problem still occurs. When accelerating it bogs out. But it will go up to speed you would just have to drive it normal can’t just foot your foot on the pedal because it will bog out.
Any recommendation ??

What year and made model? From where the crank is cylinder 1,2,3,4 but when changing spark plugs or coils doesnt matter which one u do first as long you put the spark plugs in and tight it correctly doesnt matter but the misfires could be a several solution could be anything vacumm leaks, tights valve, spark plugs , coils, blown head gasket from overheating, etcs could be multiple things not just spark plugs and coils

The one that i did its still under warranty but that jobs its not cheap for cash pay roughly 1000 plus and what kind of Honda year and made that u have mayb i can pin point where u should check

@@taingTv I am receiving error code P006A - MAP Mass or volume air flow correlation. Car is not running right and has decreased power. It bogs down sometime when you push the accelerator. Just not sure if it’s a sensor, fuel injectors, or fuel pump.
One time i replaced it and the light came on for the MAF code i end up replaced the Maf sensor the one on the air filter box and it fix u can also try it or swap it out with another sensor
i got 2018 crv also that need to replace that injector..code came out was P0172 and P0087. Its crazy when this car was kinda new and gives me prblem..
I'm trying to figure out if my 2018 LX model CRV is having CVT transmission problems or injector issues. When I am driving and mostly when I hit the accelerator I get a little stutter almost like a quick loss of power. It doesn't happen every time I hit the accelerator but when I'm already moving at a decent speed and do it too fast it seems to happen any idea if this sounds like faulty fuel injectors?

Totally garbage, waste my 4000$ dollars upfront for it. Too much waste of money on a brand new car. My Mitsubishi lancer 2008 is way better than this 2018 Crv Ex. I only spend for oil change etc.
