To directors and producers of Redline ""plz make a sequel of it""
I don't exactly remember his name but this anime director had redline as a passion project basically and he managed to get madhouse to fund and produce it, turns out though that since pretty much every frame is hand drawn it was much more expensive than they originally thought it would be to the point of nearly bankrupting madhouse, in addition it flopped at release meaning nobody in their right mind would approve a sequel. Which means redline will have to remain a lone obscure gem of anime history
@@bob9vxt582 any idea what exactly caused it to flop? With the given sheer fucking quality it's just absurd, unless they failed to advertise it properly.
@@glass7923 when you spend all the budget on production, you have none left for advertising. That's my guess so take it with a grain of salt.

That movie was my childhood.
The only problem that I see with this song is that it ends...
You can tell that the animators cared for this project. There are some animes out there that are nothing more than quick cash grabs, something to fill a time slot, but this one just feels like a passion project.
It's sad that Redline performed considerably poor in the box office. This movie is one of the best anime movies of all time and a good cult classic, and for me one of my favorites. From what I remember it was considerably delayed and tons of money were mismanaged during preproduction from when it was announced. Moreover I think they messed up the age recommendation with 1 single scene.
Nowadays unfortunately u have tons of corporate pollution in this industry, undermining and lowballing workers in their respective creative fields. And many people are dumb as sheep and apathetic. If you'd like a fantastic animation to watch, check Scavenger's Reign, it's a series and it's absolutely phenomenal.
New anime aren't made by people drawing thousands of pictures and coloring them. That is too expensive when they can just use 3d models and other programs to fill the gabs. Most people also have no standards and will even go so far as to aggressively defend low quality products as if their lives depend on it. The SIMPS of anime are at fault.
So there is really no real reason for them to make good Anime again.
You're talking about traditional cell animation (although now it should be considered outdated rather than traditional), aren't you? As for what is considered to be "bad anime" is largely up to the viewer (with few exceptions...like tank police and project ako - talk about horrible).@@PeterRudesindus
@@cliffcampbell8827 I don't even know those. The only recently new anime I watched was Eminence of Shadow and even that one had garbage tier animation and story telling which really degraded the original story. Old Anime like Hellsing or Naruto or Bleach actually enhanced the original story and made it even better instead of being carried by it.

Dude i remember hearing this a decade ago playing video games and driving cars from the 80s in forza. Now I got a 83 Camaro Autoform and this was playing on the stereo. 10 years later even though alot in my life has changed, this song is still fucking great and will never be forgotten.

There's nothing else I can say except that this is good music.
Some tears flowed at the end. Don't know if you intentionally did it but them kissing took this videos meaning to another level. It's like a couple that fights through hell just to have another chance to see each other a.k.a. daily, weekly struggles. Good job man synching the vid and great track.

Do you work your music to the footage or the otherway around?
For this one it was the other way around but sometimes it's to the footage. I got lucky on some timings that fell naturally into place.
