We were there. On the front barriers. Security tried to pull me out but my boyfriend held on tight, thankfully so I could finish the concert. Remember cramming the Vitology album before the concert. Nice to remember the Split Enz songs. Came on here to find footage and remember after 29 years and now he’s gone. Magic. Thanks
This was my first PJ show, age 19, drove up that day from Welly, slept in the car after. Saw show #25 yesterday in Barcelona, so blessed my fave band ever is still rockin after 33 years. Don’t remember the sheep, remember Ed getting everyone to take 5 steps back to ease the crush, remember him telling the crowd how he nearly drowned. I was about 20m from the front but still felt my feet hardly touched the floor all night, ocean of bodies. Big thanks for putting this footage up - got any more?
Ian! I was just looking for footage of this. Also my first big concert and I wanted to remember if Neil Finn actually showed up. (I was a bit worse for wear) Small world. Debs
SD78 I was there too. Definitely remember Eddie catching something. I thought it was a glow stick. I was also there when he got caught out in the rip at karekare while surfing.
I was at this show. I've seen ACDC, Metallica and Iron Maiden live in Auckland... went with sprained ankle, no crutches and only two grams of cannabis... BEST CONCERT EVER!
Yeah Me Too. I was there. Damn Man! Such a long time ago. Thanks heaps for this! I lost touch with them for a bit but those first two records still absolutely slay me, the same as they did back then. One of the few times I felt a sense of national pride...
One of THE best concerts ever. Got looked at weird for doing some Crowded House moves but hey epic memories. Maybe a split decision between PJ/CH and Smashing Pumpkins and Green Day (and The Prodigy at BDO) but the 90's were the shiiii!!!T!
About to share this, it may or may not go viral but the animal activists may start asking questions, coincidentally I was there but have no recollection of the sheep, mind you I was 21 and had drunk 18 beers and smoked 2 very large joints
Ive never seen this before...holyheck I was the girl unable to breathe getting pulled out at the point where eddie was doing breaststroke... i had a letter of thanks which i paperdarted at eddies feet, they probably never read it.

sorry for your loss , did he pass?
I was there. Both life changing nights. Going to see them again in November.
I love how this band has been there with me from 10 to Dark Matter.
❤️💛💚

I am so old. Just showed my kids this concert that I went to as a 16 year old. Second big concert I ever went to. Such a good time.
My first ever concert.. AMAZING to have the footage here. Thank you to all.. 👊🏻🤘🏻

I was there. Don't remember the sheep. Do remember someone throwing a tennis ball at Eddie Vedder, who caught it in one hand without flinching.

Yeah it was a tennis ball. Such a great night....well nights. Went to both.

Eddie Vedders bumper sticker on his Fender "Skateboarding is not a Crime" is the best thing ever.
15 in Dunedin then, two of our m8s went up, I was soo jealous. Seeing them for fourth and fifth time in November
I was there 2 nights in a row! Seattle kid watching PJ in Auckland while going to high school there!
Love this! One of my all time favourite concerts. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing to find this! one of the best gigs of my life ❤️

Thank you
Was this the concert where dead flowers got pulled after 2 songs? Then Neil and Tim Finn came on for some Split Enz covers?
A little overwhelming, the audience oohh my goodness!! I love Pearl Jam for life!! 💓😊🤘
I was there, I used to play the Crowded House bside of 'History Never Repeats' with Pearl Jam every week on my 95bFM graveyard show.
I was 15!
and I was probably listening to them
@@buddha1062that was so epic. I don't remember the sheep. Have you seen the video of the teen girl listening to Pearl Jam for the first time?
My 1st gig and had my 1st trip....wtf happened? Dunno but best time of my life

I think the sheep weren't used to Americans, they really warmed up when the Finn bros came on stage
I think the sheep liked Jeff Ament, he was raised in Montana. And pretty sure the sheep were on stage before the concert,

You are history, this tape screm!
Cool concert!!!
any more footage from this gig? looks like the whole thing would have been filmed. for tv im guessing
8:58 Eddie trying to tell everyone it's time to go home, hilarious 😂😂
Sheeps on stage? Why? Look so adorable!
holy shit i went to this
love the way ed makes fun of his fans by comparing them to sheep
Poor sheep, they need grass I trust they put them back on the farm before the loud noise ! A little visit is ok 😊
