    It is difficult to see the action on the ball with the small camera angle, even with the panels on the ball. Having the camera behind the players would be much better. The lefty's jump floater looks terrible from this angle.

    I went to practice today and we were working on jump topspin serves and I was wondering for the public just cuz I was so embarrassed to ask my coach for some reason are you supposed to hit the ball with the same hand you use to toss

      Janiah Tweed NO!

    • @aidanang
      @aidanang 5 лет назад +2

      You can, it depends on preference but its recommended to start that way because its easier to toss in line with your hitting arm. I actually float with my left tossing and spin with my right; that's because I prefer tossing with my left but find it a bit inaccurate to toss with spin and to toss to my opposite arm (for a spin serve).
      I believe Micah Christenson tosses with his left.

      Gbreezys Domain says:
      "What do you think of players in highschool who still under hand serve"
      ==
      First, it is good to have variety of types of serve in a team so the opponent will have to adjust to each types.
      Second, it's safe. High ace percentage serve accompanied with high error percentage is meaningless. The primary purpose of serve is to bring the ball to the opponent to start the play. You should try different kind of serve and choose the the one you feel most comfortable then work at it. If nothing else worked, try under hand serve and work at it. You don't need to follow someone else only because everybody else doing it.

    floating is the only way to go. the speed is surprising the 2 first time but is way too easy to take precisely. I advise you to go only for any floating method.

  • @user-sy4xg1zz8r
    @user-sy4xg1zz8r 5 лет назад

    No placement?
    Only power and speed?
    Proper technique is the correct answer to efficient use of power and speed, with placement. 2015 so too late but I doubt you can go far with that kind of teaching

    Should worry about the placement, if you hit right at a player it's a really easy serve to take be any decent volleyball player. Unless maybe it reaches a speed at like 100 KM/h, and none of them could do that. Then it's far better with a little less speed, but at the lines of directly between the players!

    • @mwtrolle
      @mwtrolle 4 года назад

      all of those were extremely easy, maybe even if they didn't hit directly on a player. Need more speed to make them better then float serves. That's the reason you mostly see guys using them, and for both guys and girls, it mostly used at a relatively high level. At least when it's competitive.
