I'm only 1/4 the way into the video and I'd like to say something. The passion you showed in seeing a bike, almost out of site, not for sale, appreciating the price and pushing it home, shows what so many people never show when finding a particular bike. The passion for a certain bike can be so strong and you've already captured and replayed it for us all to enjoy. Thanks. KK

It's nice to see you back. I haven't seen a video from you in a while. Looks like you've slimmed down a bit too! Congrats on the smokin deal on the SV. I have a 85 V65 Magna that I've owned since 2000. I've cleaned the carbs about 4 times I believe. I know the fun of tinkering on bikes. (You don't have vacuum gauges, do you?) :-) I quit riding my FJR1300 when a Greenville County Sheriff pulled out in front of me. His hood was slippery.
Anyway, good to see you again. (I bought your floor mats from the Jeep)

Wow...500 bucks for it. Sweet as Hell!!! Actually, I am kinda glad you didn't have to do all that work. Love the color. It seems like a great bike, especially for where I live.

Are you flying on a regular basis? How about a video of you flying.

Does the front wheel come up on yours? I also have a 2001 SV650 and the torque is great, just pulled mine out yesterday after sitting all winter and rebalanced the carbs before winter (cheap synchronizer off Amazon).
I’ve heard the front wheel is supposed to come up easily, and while mine has great power, I don’t think it can power wheelie

I’ve never purposely tried to get the front wheel off the ground but will say I could swear it is nearly off the ground when accelerating from a stop going up the rpm range from 1st to 2nd.

@@pmntl.f Thanks for the reply, I’m pretty sure I have a vacuum leak somewhere because every time I go down in gears it pops (even after rebalancing the carbs). The spark plugs are new and it always happens when downshifting from 2nd to 1st.
I think if I were to fix this it would come off the ground because it is very close, just not there (perhaps I’d I crawl in first and just whack the throttle MAYBE then).

@@fiero880 Interesting, does yours pop at all when downshifting? It sounds like your carbs are balanced and everything is working well engine wise.

@@jrdatrackstar if it pops it's maybe running a little rich. my own sv 650 has a pretty sporty exhaust and pops quite a bit when letting off the gas
