It really does change the entire game yeah, like that it doesn't force players to make Malls (because they're a logistical nightmare) Plus on top of that it makes travelling around the map so much better, gone are the days of not being able to make a factory 2km away from your base because you just forgot to bring freaking iron plates to make the foundations
For reference, I've seen that spider in the SAM pit jump ALL THE WAY out of the pit to the top. You'd be amazed how far those suckers will launch themselves.
I'd say you'd still need it. It's great but not a huge storage space, so it can run out easily. I've already emptied whole containers of one building material building things. My goal is to go full blueprints in my 1.0 playthrough, so i can see myself going through the roof this way. Also i still want to have the challenge of centralizing everything in one place.
@@clnetrooper When you max the input to the storage i think you would still be fine. Worst case if it works that way, You can double up the inputs and have a larger backup storage to fill into it.
At maximum, it only holds 5 stacks, and uploads individual parts at fastest, like half a second per part. That said, there's absolutely no reason you can't have multiple factories feeding your depot. It's super useful, amd I can't wait for the mod manager to be updated and someone makes a mod that expands the capacity and speed even further. There's already a mod that lets you buy artifacts with coupons.
Don't forget, you can put your extra tools in the dimensional storage for 'emergencies' too. And the pin icon keeps those items at the top of the list.
It really is a game changer. You don't need a storage room. You can use dimensional storage. You can use it to store random junk you pick up around drop pods in it, too. I found it exceptionally useful for my steel stuff; my first two were steel pipes and bars, making rails WAY easier to make. I also put my backup supplies for in case of "accidents" in there too, and plenty of rebar and nobelisk ammo
Everything. I auto upload every item and haven't had to actually grab supplies for the last 30 hours or so of gameplay. It's amazing and it doesn't feel too gamey since you do have to put in some work to get it. But my design strategy has changed so every new item crafted gets a storage bin and an uploader automatically.
Watching Kibz play is like watching at 10x speed. Playing at 2x is like 20x or more. In 20 minutes of video, Kibz crams in like 20h of gameplay. Oooh a spide---
Dunno why i never realised this before, but you can dump a bunch of resources on the active milestone, then switch milestones and dump that same resource on all the other milestones. Saves the back and forth gathering resources for the milestones in the long run. You still have to wait for the pod to return each time, but if I just fill my inventory with 10000 copper sheets and plonk it into every milestone, happy days later on. Also that fall down to 1 pixel of health - nice!
Upload from pants upgrade is super useful and can be unlocked quite early with stuff from crash sites. Don't need your object scanner right now? Upload it into the cloud. Loot some endgame items in crash sites? Upload them. Need them in another crash? pull them out again. Makes inventory management while exploring super easy.
i know that satisfactory is an automation and building game, but the combat goes surprisingly deep. with the rebar gun you can shoot the projectiles of the spitters and make them explode themselves for an instant kill, and with the basher you can "parry" projectiles too
Yeah the big spiders don't mess around, even if you're jetpacking over a zone, if you're going in a straight line, they can jump and smack you in the air, they've got like a 20-30 meter vertical jump
My current underrated fav for dimensional storage: explosive rebar and turbo fuel, you could also add stuff like mask cartridges too. Pretty light machine cost considering, and always having the necessities for going out regardless of where you go or if you die. Invaluable. Start with depoting the biofuel and regular rebar, then work your way up as you get better fuel and better ammo
Another cool thing about the depots are that hand crafting also pulls from the cloud, so if you need a lot of something crafted, like fluctuators, but you don't have manufacturers unlocked, you could just hand craft and go afk for the night or something.
This entire video was hilarious also the huge spider and the party bridge🤣🤣🤣I have been watching you for 4 years now and just binge watch. I can also perfectly mimic your outro. Please never stop making Satisfactory Videos🙏🙏🙏🙏
I just fully updated my Dimensional Depots after going on a massive Mercer Sphere/Somersloop/Hard Drive hunt. I have been using them to upload pretty much everything I am automating. They are easily the best thing added to the game in 1.0 and are a complete game changer.
I know nothing about this game, and I don't play it, but your style makes it interesting to watch. Just wanted to thank you for going thru the efforts to put your adventures on YT for us strangers to enjoy. Hope you're doing well. 👍
If you have smart splitters, you can set some containers up to capture that plastic residue for later use, then when the containers are full, divert overflow into an awesome sink.
17:00 If you stay crouched while attacking the nests they won't wake up at all. As far as I can tell the same is true for shooting them while crouched. I'm assuming they're coded to just ignore everything you do to them so long as you're crouched while you do it.
What the dimensional depot is also very good for is storing stuff that sucks up inventory space inderrinately. Chainsaw, organs, slugs, power shards, high tier items raided from droppods needed to open other droppods, a stack of solid biofuel, 20 iron ore to rebuild hub, somerslopes, SAM fluctuators, rebar ammo, etc. All stuff that you hate sacrificing inventory space for, but also hate having to revisit every factory for to see where you left them.
Hey Kibs, just wanted to let you know that if you search for a material with the scanner, you can just hover the mouse over the resource on your map and it will show you the purity of the node without walking there.
If you unlock Manual Uploading, you can upload the things you find like slugs and hard drives. You can then die and respawn, quickly getting back to base without losing anything (assuming your inventory was empty).
One negative with the cloud storage is that you need to pull items out for researching or tier unlocks. Stack number is certainly good but upload speed felt like the better one to focus on so they refill faster, can also make it even quicker by feeding the same type of item into two or more depots.
I went with stack size first, because running around picking up random stuff was filling it up. Besides, you can just pop down another depot to increase upload speed. That said, that first level of speed increase is so satisfying.
Tip, to sneak up to the nest only requires you to hold crouch, not actually be going below a certain speed, so slide-jumping into a "crouch" with the jetpack is a great way to get close to the hives quickly!

1.0 is more optimized, could be a driver issue and you could also find the settings file and change it to DirectX 11 so the game is able to launch if that's the issue.
Speed upgrades to dimensional storage is a must have. You have 30 items/min, but can be updated to 60, 120, 240, which makes building much more enjoyable
actually, upload speed is almost always better than depot size, because you can buffer with a container before going into the uploader, which can then quickly upload the whole chest if need be. the only exclusions to this is for milestones, or MASSIVE bulk build like if you build 2500 concrete at once
I LOVE this so much, I have some of the most common building materials + packaged fuel just sent straight to dimensional storage and it's saved me so much time. Probably going to need more spheres.
i love the slightly unhinged, slightly philosophical alien sayings. also, i personally find the dimensional storage to be more important to me, but the sloop production bonus is awesome and a very close second. also, that jumspcare with the spiders at the sam node was funny
I know that you've already done a lot of this a thousand times, and I've watched every single video, but I still really appreciate your insight and even more now the experience behind your insight. Please cut less and post more. Please Please Please
I still have a mall, and it's more significant than the mall I had in 0.8. Part of that is due to a change of strategy, just to make my 1.0 play through be something different than 0.8. I'm doing a big city area instead of spread out little villages, and it made it easier and more desirable to have a mall as one of the buildings. It also fits my strategy. I know probably a lot of people tear down early builds as they unlock new tech and rebuild. A sound strategy. But I decided to make the early builds work for me. Since the early builds are low volume, and Malls can be supplied by low volume, I'm just using my earlier builds to stock the mall. The early buildings stay to feed the mall, new buildings are built for higher production needs, and the city grows. Also, I haven't really explored all that much, so while I'm well into Stage 3 / Tier 6, I do not yet have the dimensional storage tech, so there's that too. When I finally get it, I will probably utilize the mall for that too, and just put the dimensional storage container or containers actually in the mall, and have the mall feed them. I'm pretty happy with how that's working out so far.

I know where you can get a jetpack day one, no research. Playing a super ultrawide for update 8, in its entirety, has taught me in order to catch a zipline while falling, you need to fall through it while simulataneously looking up at the line. Still not very dependable. I recommend just getting a jetpack early. I found a random hog in the crater lake biome, wearing a jetpack, got one before unlocking coal, while colleting hard drives.
If I understand correctly that is extremely rare and definitely not a dependable game strategy. You are the second or third person I have ever heard talk about it.
Ya I know how you feel. I have over 90 hours in my 1.0 save and I cant believe I overlooked this. I knew about how the somersloops worked I just kinda didn't think about doing that and I have handcrafted over 450 shards! Ahh I could have had double the amount this whole time!
Hope you are well and having a blast too. Power is a very real struggle I love trains, and OIL too. I rushed to phase 4 hand crafting most 2 and 3 part items, until I got amplifiers, also a game changer. Finished train stations to bring in coal and sulfur yesterday. I am planning my first 600 crude turbofuel power plant today. I think refining has all been rebalanced. Should give enough power to build a 1200 on gold coast once get all the alt recipes, also reserving that area for further refinement of turbofuel. My first megolyth is going to be a 2km high power tower. Built the prototype in Update 8, cant wait to incorporate the new fuel production lines and redesign.
Oh wow -- I did not know about making Power Shards and Alien Protein in Constructors. Glad I found out before getting too far. I've cleared the Dune Desert, but still plenty of slugs to collect. Thanks for that fantastic tip!
Fun fact: in my own playthrough, I was so enamored with dimensional storage that I completed the entire dimensional storage research tree without touching oil once. In fact, I might have done it without automating steel pipes.

Not trying to say you’re wrong, I just want you to be able to play it if you can.
1.0 is more optimized, could be a driver issue and you could also find the settings file and change it to DirectX 11 so the game is able to launch if that's the issue.
I am so glad u started doing satisfactory again, really love watching how u play
Genuinely terrified Kibz is one of my favorite Kibz
Speed upgrades to dimensional storage is a must have. You have 30 items/min, but can be updated to 60, 120, 240, which makes building much more enjoyable
If you stay sneaking while hitting the bug nest, it won't aggro at all, even with ranged weapons.
yay, one of my top 17 favourite satisfactory youtubers of 2022 has uploaded again! what a day
Love the Khorne reference. As a person who used a parachute for the first time in 1.0, highly recommend.
actually, upload speed is almost always better than depot size, because you can buffer with a container before going into the uploader, which can then quickly upload the whole chest if need be.
the only exclusions to this is for milestones, or MASSIVE bulk build like if you build 2500 concrete at once
35:02: Domain Expansion: Perfect Factory!
im literally 800% hyped to start my own world. Keep the content flowing!
After watching you do some of this live, I'm very impressed by how you edit and create these videos. The Kibz magic goes deep.
i've been collected the drives like crazy, not all of them yet, but got to finish everything in tier 5 and 6, now time to build for the space elevator
I love Kibz satisfactory videos. Thank you for the entertainment Kibz. Can't wait for the next one
I LOVE this so much, I have some of the most common building materials + packaged fuel just sent straight to dimensional storage and it's saved me so much time. Probably going to need more spheres.
Gas nobelisk are also super good at killing bugs while you kill their hives :)
Pulse is great for sending an enemy off a cliff.
I wait for this videos it makes my week!!!
3:55 Spider-Man, Spider-Man does whatever a spider can
i love the slightly unhinged, slightly philosophical alien sayings.
also, i personally find the dimensional storage to be more important to me, but the sloop production bonus is awesome and a very close second.
also, that jumspcare with the spiders at the sam node was funny
Spiders is the reason why I play this game in passive. I H A T E spiders.
One of the funniest episodes I've ever seen from you! Thank you!
When u realize that u r completely addicted to his satisfactory videos😂😂
Love ur content man ❤❤❤❤
I love watching every gameplay video of urs
And plz upload the next video ASAP 😅
just discovered your channel, soo good. love the commentary! will be following from here on out ( also just started plating satisfactory because of your vids, made it look so fun
Oh my fucking god. The slugs. The constructors. IM ON A 60H SAVE AND I JUST REALIZED I COULD DO THAT. IVE CRAFTED LIKE 200 PURPLE SLUGS BY HAND.
Ya I know how you feel. I have over 90 hours in my 1.0 save and I cant believe I overlooked this. I knew about how the somersloops worked I just kinda didn't think about doing that and I have handcrafted over 450 shards! Ahh I could have had double the amount this whole time!
Where did bro get that many slugs only 60 hours in I'm 75 and I've gotten like 40 power shards
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!
Blood for my lord khorn
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!!!!!
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE
TAKE MY BLOOD
I don't know you, just found your channel, you sound insane and chaotic and I'm here for it all!
A sub well earned sir.🎉
that powershard trick was the smartest thing ive ever seen wtf
Been watching since the very first early access satisfactory video, always good to watch.
i found this SAM deposit by accident at tier8, 50 hours into my first playthru. it was a great moment! so glad i didn’t get it spoiled
Just to note, you can only zipline if you AREN'T looking down! You gotta have confidence!
I already had a pile of already made alien dna and a pile of powershards... DANGIT!
Glad to see you in 1.0, Kibz! Excited to see how you handle the somersloop boosts. You gonna be posting blueprints anywhere sometime?
I love how quickly the hatcher-sneaking tip spread. I can't believe nobody had ever tried it before that one random redditor.
The mysterious teleporting SAM spiders nearly caused a tongue slip 😭
I love watching your videos as I’m in burnout and not able to play the game so I get a lot of enjoyment of seeing it through your content :)😊
