The show was a huge success without Doherty, going on for four more seasons. That's longer than the three seasons Doherty was on for. So according the Holly’s podcast, house of Halliwell; Shannen and Holly would go their trailers and hang out after filming to talk about how their characters came across, the scenes and how to give better performances. They really cared about that stuff. Especially as they never watched themselves acting until recently. I do think Alyssa felt pushed out, but instead of making her feelings known she chose to go to executives and give an ultimatum and claim a hostile work environment. If you see them behind the scenes on season one; they all seem to get along so well. It’s a shame what happened.
Sorry, I am calling bs. Shannon's death is a tragic loss. But I simply can't believe that Alyssa is the ONLY bad guy in this situation. She is the only person who owned her immaturity and bad cattiness. But let's be honest with ourselves. I don't care how much they liked Alyssa or if they were afraid to lose her. But your third star doesn't have the power or reach or influence to get your main star fired. If she threatened a lawsuit, they simply would have paid her off. Especially if the 2nd star is so close to the main star that you might lose her too. No show is going to take that risk (losing their top 2 stars) unless you feel you absolutely have too. Unless you plan to make the 3rd star the new lead which absolutely in no way shape or form happened. Something big happened behind the scenes and it certainly was not childish antics by Alyssa. They are not going to fire their star and the woman who is directing a plurality of the episodes for the third wheel.

And you don’t actually know the full story of what happened because you weren’t there. Holly says one producer told her it was a “her or me.” That same producer who then turned around and threatened Holly not to leave the show. There’s very little evidence it played out the way a lot of people think based solely on Shannen and Holly’s podcast.

Then they hired Rose McGowan who was asked how she liked Milano's Times-up movement. McGowan was the one that testified against Harvey Weinstein so the Me Too movement and the Times Up movement was started by McGowan. Honestly, i loved it better when Shannen Holly and Alyssa on first 3 seasons. Theyre chemistry as sisters were great(the fact that they had tension?… Made them all great actors). I know everybody is dragging Alyssa bcoz noone would say anything bad since Shannen died. But Shannen had patterns reportedly having conflict with other actirs she had worked with. And If Holly… the best friend( who by the way Shannen got her the job) Knew something was shady….? I agree! I watched 90210 and when Shannen left, it wasn't the same so I quit watching. Then I heard of Charmed with Shannen so I watched until she got fired. It wasn't the same without Shannen so I quit watching that one, too. I remember Shannen making a remark about Milano. She said it was hard to come to work and here someone complaining about having to come to work all the time. When you have Shannen not liking Milano and also Rose McGowan, the problem was Milano.

I do not support any faction. My bias is for Pru, I loved her character so much and it made me wanna wish if she could be my sister. It tore me apart when she couldn't come back even in a spirit form. I was a teenager then. My feelings are still the same, even during rewatches for the entire series multiple times. I always get heartbroken. How I wish they could just have handled things differently then. Dealing with it professionally. Charmed can never be the same without pru. She may have died, but she could have at least appeared in a spirit form. Because of my first broken heart, I never watched vampire diaries when Elena died. I don't want to have the same kind of feeling any more. Feeling betrayed when they have removed the top tier main character. They could have just made a novel instead. Hated Holiwood for this.

I understand why it would look like Alyssa Milano would be singled out, and in other situations, it very well could be a mean girls case where the tribe is ganging up on one person. But when dealing with a narcissist, it’s an entirely different game and it really is that one person causing a lot of damage. Milano doesn’t need to have the (hard) power to make things shake. Like others have hinted, there is (soft) power, influencing others indirectly and subtly, turning someone against another, painting someone a certain way (difficult to be with vs strong, self-respecting and independent), and this is all totally legal and technically hands off. It just doesn’t make it ethical, and narcissists get away with this every day. They are masters of deception and they can lie without outright telling people a lie. People have said this in the past, you just have to tell enough of the truth to make people believe the rest of the lies. Milano admitted it in this video, “My condolences to all who loved her.” She is not expressly indicating that she loved her, only that her condolences go out to those who loved her. Notice she doesn’t direct her heartfelt sentiments towards Doherty, at all. There was no love lost. In fact, the accusations probably gave her viewings a bit of a boost, so she probably was thanking people by giving them the time of day of speaking out against Doherty in response to her “accusations.” If you look into Milano’s other history, you’ll see that she has also made inappropriate requests for a “donation” of $10,000 for her son for some game trip he had going and then using him as a shield and saying he is just a kid, let him raise the money, when certain fans call her out. She also doesn’t admit responsibility where or when it is due. Yes, he is technically raising the money, she just set up the platform. The other fans who stuck up for her? That is called flying monkeys - when someone who is not fully aware of the entire situation (often a lot of people) easily look at a situation and side with the narcissist, who is playing the victim role, the hurt one. He is just a child after all (that I’m using). That is also another hallmark of narcissism, asking for favors that most people would (and should) be uncomfortable asking, and using your kid as a cash crop. You’ll notice that some people stand up for her who have known her for a week as a sweet kind woman (flying monkeys), accusing others of being too harsh or horrible to her, while those who have worked with her for years eventually come to see who she really is deep down and leave her where she is better off - alone. If you have worked with or lived with a narcissist, you know how this game is played... If you haven’t yet, you simply won’t understand the damage this type of person can do to someone’s life until you yourself have been there. Most people have a certain degree of restraint when it comes to making accusations about someone else, so it is no surprise that Shannen kept silent for so long. She sounded like she tried to take the high road and be tough and walk away and maintain the image for the fans to remain happy as best as they would be. But at some point, people have a breaking point, and cancer was that breaking point that brought the cast and crew together and revealed the truth in the end. If you hear it, it wasn’t just the ladies. Julian McMahon and others also verified what Shannen said. Milano is technically not responsible - she was envious and she found ways to get her off set without doing the actual deed. Think hard about this. We all know or have come across people like this at one point in our lifetime. The only thing is they are very smart and calculating, charming and beautiful. And I hate to say it, but narcissists are very focused on their looks, but if you look closer, the other ladies stopped so much focusing on how they looked, and how they made deep impacts on people’s lives. Shannen made a beautiful podcast of her thoughts in her dying days. A “difficult” woman, really someone like Milano could never pull that off, let alone be able to empathize with the people on set.
No matter how you feel about what happened between them, bringing Shannen up and talking about her after her death is screwed up. Why even mention Shannen when there was contention? Shannen can’t defend herself, so just let her RIP.
It is crazy how impactful positively and negatively Charmed has been. So impactful that it’s always referenced. They should have rebooted it with the original cast members. I want to say this cause everyone is saying so many good things about Shannon. Shannon wasn’t all that nice. I’ve seen her at those yearly gatherings and she was snappy or snarky at fans. You guys are making her out to be a precious sweet person. Shannon had a bad attitude. There is a difference between being strong and being mean. They did at first, Shannen even stated in an interview that she thought Alyssa was a better fit for Phoebe; they had to recast because the original actor playing her dropped out last minute. Although if you see pictures, the original Phoebe looks more like the other two sisters. I always found it a bit odd that they all seemed to have different eye colors.

So according the Holly’s podcast, house of Halliwell; Shannen and Holly would go their trailers and hang out after filming to talk about how their characters came across, the scenes and how to give better performances. They really cared about that stuff. Especially as they never watched themselves acting until recently.

I do not support any faction. My bias is for Pru, I loved her character so much and it made me wanna wish if she could be my sister. That is called flying monkeys - when someone who is not fully aware of the entire situation (often a lot of people) easily look at a situation and side with the narcissist, who is playing the victim role, the hurt one. He is just a child after all (that I’m using). That is also another hallmark of narcissism, asking for favors that most people would (and should) be uncomfortable asking, and using your kid as a cash crop. You’ll notice that some people stand up for her who have known her for a week as a sweet kind woman (flying monkeys), accusing others of being too harsh or horrible to her, while those who have worked with her for years eventually come to see who she really is deep down and leave her where she is better off - alone. If you have worked with or lived with a narcissist, you know how this game is played... If you haven’t yet, you simply won’t understand the damage this type of person can do to someone’s life until you yourself have been there.
Most people have a certain degree of restraint when it comes to making accusations about someone else, so it is no surprise that Shannen kept silent for so long. She sounded like she tried to take the high road and be tough and walk away and maintain the image for the fans to remain happy as best as they would be. But at some point, people have a breaking point, and cancer was that breaking point that brought the cast and crew together and revealed the truth in the end. If you hear it, it wasn’t just the ladies. Julian McMahon and others also verified what Shannen said. Milano is technically not responsible - she was envious and she found ways to get her off set without doing the actual deed. Think hard about this. We all know or have come across people like this at one point in our lifetime. The only thing is they are very smart and calculating, charming and beautiful. And I hate to say it, but narcissists are very focused on their looks, but if you look closer, the other ladies stopped so much focusing on how they looked, and how they made deep impacts on people’s lives. Shannen made a beautiful podcast of her thoughts in her dying days. A “difficult” woman, really someone like Milano could never pull that off, let alone be able to empathize with the people on set.
Shannon knew that once she got into heaven she would never see Alyssa again. That gave her great peace in the end.
