@@jacubtwo2938 No, early 90s during season 2 or 3 of 90210. But her smoking has changed her voice from a high one to a raspy one. She has been or was smoking for almost 30 years.

RewindMe all of Hollywood did. I remember from 2010 and earlier when politics was not so divisive. Sure, they voted for X, if you knew at all, as it was ancillary, and so what. Consider this, we see only the radicals. The sjws. Most people, especially celebs, do zero research and know nothing in depth. I run a certain contingency website so I see it all and hear directly from members.
So I do not care. We can feed into this ridiculous ness or not. What is tour sphere of influence? What do you change by judging? Hopefully you vote national. But as it is emphasized over and over, voting locally is what matters. Most damaging policies are on the state, county, and city local levels. Do you organize or just judge your neighbor.
We had Obama, then trump, now Biden. The seemingly start of this situation. But it’s also only been just a few years. We make the future. Do we really want separatist political groups that really isolate each other on the neighborhood block level? Because only the citizens can achieve that. So is it about control NOW or do you really care for the future. That part is up to you.
I pray for her continued recovery and for everyone else who is struggling with cancer.
Sarah is really a genuine good person.

True. I tried giving it a chance after rose mcgowan replaced her as the 4th sister but it was just not the same. Up to now, I dont even know nor care how the series ended.

@@lonerEmpath Which was interesting for TV history if you think about it, Very few shows survive such a change, I liked Rose as much as Shannen, just in different capacities and yes it ended like how it started, just with a kid holding the book of spells and closing the door, Good ending to a legendary show, I was gutted that she left the show but have Rose a change and had no regrets, the connected the 4th sister story line very well.

Shannon's response to finding out your stage 4 cancer was spot on. I was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma cancer and sarcoma cancer at the same time I thought life was over but I fought hard and I'm still here. So being diagnosed does not mean its a death sentence
Not for everyone. People should always fight to the end or not giving up & beating it when possible, with many great years ahead. 👍

My dad was diagnosed with cancer with it already being stage 4 throat cancer. He got months of aggressive radiation and chemo @ MD Anderson. He is a survivor. It can be done!

Depends of many factors. Where you live on this planet, doctors, money, chance . My father died of cancer because of some incompetents doctors.

The best 90s queens
They both were such huge icons to me as a kid who watched too much television and who always gravitated towards the strong female characters and it warms my heart to know that they're close friends. I watched this interview before I was diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoma, and watching it now is so different. I'm glad Shannen shares what her road with cancer looks like. Education is the only way we're ever going to understand things like this. And she's right that each type of cancer and even at what age or stage of life you're in when you get cancer is all so different. There is no one single journey that everyone takes. All of us need a space to share our truths if we want it.

It’s so refreshing to hear her talk about cancer like this.
She has a positive attitude which is good because it may help prolong her life.
My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that metastasized to his lungs in February and passed away 8 months later at the age of 85 in the beginning of this month and let me tell you... he lived life to the fullest until 2 weeks before his death. He walked two miles every other day while doing chemo. Cancer, specific stage 4, doesn’t mean you’re written off and have given up on life. I miss him every second of every day.

@Virginia Rose- I’m so sorry 😐 for your loss. I’m glad that your dad was able to live his best life up until the end. I’ve been battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer since 2014. I find encouragement through those that have fought before me, with me, and those who will fight after me. It’s gets lonely. I’m encouraged your dad had his family by his side. God Bless You 🌹

@@auntielisalisabopeepsa hope you are doing well. I too have Stage 4 breast cancer but due to modern treatment continue to live life on my own terms. I was stage 2 from 1999 to 2004. In 2004 I was diagnosed with mets to the bones and my status changed to stage 4, so hope that will encourage you a bit. We hear so much about getting cured or beating cancer but there are many of us who live with cancer and lifelong treatment hope you will live long and well too.

Men find friendship through competition. That's why they can have a fist fight and then come out pals. It's awesome to elevate women, but you don't need to demean men to do it.

I grew up looking up to both of these women so seeing their friendship always makes me giddy they're literal friendship goals. I know Shannen is" good", and at peace with her diagnosis, but I'll never stop praying for her, the world needs her and her talent and beauty. Two great performers. I bawled out loud when Shannen showed up on Riverdale as the woman Fred (Luke Perry) was saving when he lost his life. I usually don't get that choked up over TV characters, but all I could think of was Brenda and Dylan on 90210 and how much I loved that show. They were my exact age when the show started so I felt like I grew up with them, even though I only watched it for the first couple of seasons. She was my favorite Halliwell sister, and my favorite Heather. Sarah Michelle, of course, will always be my Kendall Hart from All My Children and Buffy from the best show ever! Wish Shannen all the best.
I am glad Shannon said that having cancer is not always a death sentence.
People all over the world have made fantastic recoveries from having different types of cancer. Not every patient dies.
I am so sad about her horrible diagnoses but yet so happy to at least see her here.
She was always misunderstood. She had so much trauma in her life and No one bothered to ask her "are you okay?" when supposedly she was having these issues back then. She is a great human being
Feel bad for Shannen. The scapegoat twice. Once taking the bullet for Tori and Jenny's behaviour and then being chosen to get the boot over Alyssa. Look I know she's not perfect but the stories of her were clearly blown out of proportion.
Most definitely blown out of proportion for the media’s entertainment. Male actors never get the same treatment in Hollywood
Definitely don’t think there was any good guy in those situations. Everyone involved probably did or said something they shouldn’t have. But it’s definitely not as big or important as people made it out to be. There are real problems and issues and people shouldn’t focus on such pettiness.
As someone who has worked in a variety of jobs with groups of women....it gets really bitchy! I don't think it is a surprise at all that there were issues on the sets of 90210 and Charmed. Just like there were issues on the sets of Desperate Housewives and Sex and the City. Women can be very jealous and competitive with one another and different personalities can really clash.
@@nirachien2274 you're right but producers have a tendancy to accept it when it comes from male actors they're just labelled a little difficult to work with within the industry, look at Mark Harmon, Kiefer Sutherland, Nathan Fillion, Charlie Sheen they really did a lot of bad things on set and they still work !

So good so positive I just really enjoyed it and it left me feeling really good. I just wanna thank Sarah and Shannon for sharing this time with us, and being so open and real and honest❣️❣️
These 2 ladies are fabulous!! I'm glad they share a special bond. I've always been a big Sara fan. She soooo talented. I'm also a big Shannen fan with her acting, I pray she beats this and give her so much credit for all the good work she's doing for cancer. Much love and luck to both of them

They were TEENAGERS!! We can't blame them for fighting a little! Tori as a minor at the beginning of 90210 was so insecure that her mother made her have a nose job, let's have a bit of grace..
So glad she addressed not googling cancer data, as some who has been dealing with cancer since 1999 and I really discourage the newly diagnosed not to surf the net. There are so many statistics that are posted that are years old and the science of cancer treatment is always changing.
People said Shannen was trouble but she sure knew how to keep a great friendship so never hear what the media says!!!!
For over 20 years. She was best friends with Holly Marie for over 20 years. Meanwhile Alyssa Milano had problems with everyone including guest stars that called her a "bitch"

And when my cancer was a little up in the air... we think this ...but not sure yet...I had often wondered about my family and friends and what they were going through I didn't want them sad or fearful...because I wasn't I just had to take one day at a time one foot in front of the other thank u Shannon for sharing ur story!!!❤!!!
Love that Sarah and Shannen joked that Charmed was on for three years originally then was rebooted - for me it was never the same after Shannen left and that's where it ended. I would like it to come back with the original trio, but maybe Shannen is right, maybe you are better to be left wanting more than to be sick of it.
I absolutely love their friendship. I was maybe 6-7 years old when I was introduced to them as Buffy and Prue and I'm so happy that in a way they were my TV role models growing up. I looked up to them so much and seeing them being so close and happy together makes me sooooo happy!!

I sooo loved Shannen in Charmed. I was actually so sad and confused when she dissapeared from the show. Charmed was never the same after her. Shannen made the show great! I also miss the days of Buffy The Vampire Slayer! (Buffy - one of the absolutely best tv-shows ever, alongside with Xena Warrior Princess and X-files). Ooh, the good old days of the 90's, how I miss you. Also, I really hope Shannen can beat the cancer!

They didn't belong to the same fictional universe, the way magic worked in one show was very different from the other. A crossover wouldn't have worked nor made sense...

The network screwed over both shows. It wouldn’t have worked.
They cancelled Buffy, UPN brought it and Charmed they wanted to change a lot of things that the actresses weren’t too fond of including their outfits, hair colors, their pay etc. The network forced that Magic school storyline, they forced Coop, they forced Billie and her sister etc.
Which is not surprising why they rebooted it.
In an interview back in 2006, HMC said Shannen wanted the Wb to make a crossover so bad but the network was not interested in It. Even though Charmed ratings were high in the earlier seasons , "they" thought Buffy was ground-breaking and iconic meanwhile Charmed was the silly show for kids.

From one cancer fighter to another, I understand what she means in the beginning. I wish I felt as strong and confident as she does, but I do not unfortunately. BUT I still believe there are others out there who deserve the 'prayer' and well wishes more than I.

Their friendship is awesome, so sweet and funny to see them so close. Its the friendship everyone wants. Glad they have each others back always as well as having lots of laughs.
Sarah and Shannon are two of the strongest woman I grew up watching and so proud of their friendship. I love the humor honesty and love they have shared. I pray that because Shannon came forward with her diagnosis that it helps open up the world to knowledge and understanding. So much finding is needed. I pray for all those suffering because of it. I pray for the elderly. I pray for this world. Sadly to say that this world really needs it. May God bless these ladies with the strength to keep going.

Both of these women had a massive impact on my teenage years. Shannen in 90210, Heathers and Charmed. Sarah in Buffy and Cruel Intentions. This chat was so good.

I love Sarah. Buffy is my all time favorite TV show. I love Shannen as well. Stopped watching 90210 and Charmed when she left the shows. It's a nice surprise to see both my girls are so genuinely close. They should do a show together. Shannen's calm nature and Sarah so bubbly would compliment each other and interesting to watch
Same experience as Sarah. Went to Japan for a summer study. Masks came up once in a while, we were closer to SARS and swine flu period. I was like "why don't we? Will I look like I'm dying if I apply this personally in America?"
Now it's different, if I keep it up long after, are people going to freak out in another way? Basically they do it because they can't not work.
It's such a good practice just for errands and being out when you're not great.

I love their friendship and sisterhood 💕 I've always loved Shannen from 90210 as Brenda Walsh even with all her controversy. She is a badass, no doubt in my mind. She was my young childhood idol til Buffy the Vampire Slayer came out on the WB network ( Sarah Michelle Gellar ) I was 12 years old when I fell in love with SMG. She was a kick-ass vampire slayer and taught me to be myself. These women are inspiring and so glad to see them have so much love and respect for each other 💜

She's right about breast cancer not being an automatic death sentence. I was diagnosed Oct. 1, 2009 with Stage 3C micropapillary breast cancer -- an uncommon and fast growing type. It was also HER2NEU-positive. Today I'm cancer free since Feb. 19, 2010 and considered cured by my oncologist.

Thank you SO MUCH for this!! I have loved SD since Our House and SMG since Swans Crossing! When I found out they were friends (way before social media), it made my heart happy. One of the things I have "loved" about the pandemic is all their IG posts and pictures of their hangouts! Not sure what the female equivalent of a bromance is, but this is my favorite one! Prayers for Shannen always!!

I love how she’s thinking about others while going through this. About how others need prayers basically more than her altho they’re prob going through what she’s going through too. A lot of people don’t see that side of her. I’ve been a fan of hers for many years. And I’ve had this interview saved in my Watch Later for a long time. I’m finally watching it and crying through it. I know for some it’s weird crying for a celebrity/somebody you don’t know personally. But that’s how it is. She’s basically someone I’ve grown up with.

Chemo and radiation are poison. It just leads to an early grave. I've NEVER known it to save anyone!!
@@SUGAR_XYLER I was an RN for 20 years so I definitely have seen it save and prolong many lives. I've just also seen how it affects the rest of the body and how sick people get. I just don't have that amount of fight left in me and have lived a great life.
She should be going natural. Change her diet, keep her body in an alkaline state...."C" loves an acidic body. Meditate, drink lots of water, eat organic.... so many things I would try before going to big Pharma for help

I thank my nurses and doctors all the time for their treatment and encouragement towards me. I get lonely and it’s scary, but I’m grateful for all of my medical team. I grew up watching Buffy and 90210. I love Buffy so much and I love Brenda, more than Kelly. I know people have said awful thinkgs about Shannen, but I think she was just young with a strong personality. I've always loved Sarah I think she is genuinely good, and Shannen too. I follow them on IG and they are so cute together. I love their friendship.

I’ve always loved Shannen and Sarah’s friendship!!! Shannen is an amazing actress, I wish she wasn’t plagued by the “difficult” rumors. So unfortunate about her and Holly’s friendship.
What happened with her and Holly? I thought they were friends.
@@mao1055 they were very close friends up until Shannen first got diagnosed with cancer. After that Shannen opened up about how she learned who her real friends were once she got cancer, and that she had no room in her life for some people, implying that Holly were one of them seeing as they pretty much stopped hanging out and talking at that time.
