This is awesome! I love the topper with the white wheels and white Datsun on the tailgate it looks great. How difficult was the swap? I have a 620 that I'm going to CA18det swap this summer I imagine it's a lot of the same process.
Thanks!! The topper fits it so well, and the white is such a good color paired with the blue! It wasn't terribly difficult. The KA24DE is a very well-supported swap on these trucks, we didn't even have to fabricate motor mounts. The CA18DET has definitely been done before as well- I'd imagine it's almost an identical process. Scour the web, Ratsun.net is a fantastic resource. You'll likely end up using the same CAN-AM box (wiring/relay box) that we did to simplify the wiring. The wiring was pretty tricky to figure out- I may make a video detailing the wiring in the future. To hopefully make it a bit simpler for future swappers!
Louder does NOT= better..In fact louder just makes people associate you and your ride to douchebag status and anything else youve done fun to your ride will be completely disregarded..trust me. A rich tone is sooo much more impressive and respected...just sayin bro.
Fun fact: I discovered recently that Pure Gum Spirit Turpentine clears up acne in just a few days to a week. Just mix it with a carrier oil so it won't evaporate, like vegetable oil, olive oil, coconut oil or MTC oil. Rub it in affected area and that's it. But don't use hardware store turpentine, it has to be organic, contained in a dark glass bottle, not in a tin can.
We did not, the crossmember was fab’d by a member of the Ratsun community. I don’t recall who, but I can probably figure out who it is if you need to get one
Sorry for the late response- missed your comment. Most of the wiring info came from the Ratsun forums. It’s pretty complex, you’ll have to dig a fair bit to get the info you need, but start there. I’m going to try to put together a “wiring” video soon in which I’ll explain the general details of how to wire it.

Nice upgrade. I would have loved a KA24DE in my 74 620. Great motor, had one in my daughters 01 Altima.

I have a 620 with a swap and the exhaust always rattles on something after.. I need to fix mine like yours

Did you custom make the transmission crossmember?
We did not, the crossmember was fab’d by a member of the Ratsun community. I don’t recall who, but I can probably figure out who it is if you need to get one

Its probably not backpressure, you probably built a system that has good scavenging properties
