  • Starting to solve some of the problems with running the 240sx front subframe on the Datsun 620. Widening the frame is the first step and it's what I do in this video.

I just got my hands on a 620 pickup and I'm wanting to do something very similar on my channel. debating using a bmw subframe. way less cool but hopefully easier to find parts for. thanks for documenting this, tons of great info

Great Job Mike! I feel ya man I have made cuts that should have been done differently also.
Glad to see you in the front of the truck. Keep up the great work!

Nice work! This 620 is going to drive so nice. When I had my 74 620 with 4 wheel drums, I would have loved just disc brakes! I had to manually adjust monthly. I can't believe I drove it daily for 5 years 1984-89. You are doing really nice work on this whole conversion. I hated the carbs!

Thank you for that I appreciate it I've been trying to do everything as best I can! That's impressive to daily that thing for so long!! I couldn't stand it Haha 😂

That thin sheet metal will not provide any structural support. Your frame is not structurally safe at all.

Great work! Why remove the alternator when you were gonna pull the engine anyhow? You like doing extra work like me?

Hahaha didn't really think about that, was thinking it would be in the way of my cuts lol

Love those trucks! My dad had a Datsun Lil' Hustler the same color as yours when I was a kid. That's the truck I learned how to drive a stick in. I'd love to have it back!
